Response from Disha Thakkar of QMetry Test Management

Thank you for your useful feedback.

We are very happy to hear that you have found efficiency gains using QMetry and its organization capabilities across projects and teams. We understand the need for automation integration and offer support for multiple tools and frameworks.

For setting up test cycle without repeating -

1. Test Suites in a Cycle can be reused across a combination of Release and Cycles. One does not have to create the Test Suites for multiple releases and cycles.

2. Also, there is "Copy" Test Suite functionality that would auto copy the test cases and other details from a Release and Cycle, instead of manually creating a new one every time.

Here is the link to our Support Documentation for "Copy" feature - https://qmetrysupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/QPro/pages/377815261/Bulk+Operations#BulkOperations-BulkCopy

If you still have doubts, you can reach our Support Team by mailing them on qtmprofessional@qmetrysupport.atlassian.net

Thanks again for your review.

"A good basic test management suite"
3.5/5
What do you like best about QMetry Test Management?

Its ease to learn how to use and basic functionality make it a good choice when needing a test management solution quickly.

Importing test cases and test requirements is easy through the import wizard. There was a little setup involved to integrate Jira with the tool but after that it was all good to go.

The dashboard is quite good and allows you to customise your own graphs and charts for each test cycle.

The tool has support for multiple platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QMetry Test Management?

Pricing model changed every year and had to budget for the price increase. Also setting up a new test cycle for each subsequent release could be made easier and a lot less repetitive. Also the user interface seemed a little archaic compared to other tools out there at the moment. It seemed to emulate a windows interface. More modern tools go with a web based interface which is a little more intuitive and easier to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Disha Thakkar of QMetry Test Management

Thank you so much for your review, George. We really appreciate you taking time for providing us valuable feedback. We take our customers’ feedback seriously and try our best to resolve problems as soon as we can. We are pleased to inform you that we have revamped the UI of our product which is modern, smart and intuitive.

Based on end user feedback, we have released a new version of QMetry that has a simple and intuitive web-based UI that solves most of the issues you mentioned. The scoping of Project, Release and Cycle has been made simpler and you do not need to create a release/cycle in advance every time you plan your testing activities; instead you can tag them when required. The test suites are now at the project level and do not have to be defined with every release and cycle.

In addition, the test case and test suites can be reused across release, cycles and even projects.

This advanced, newer version of QMetry Test Management also enables easy integration with 3rd party tools such as JIRA, Jenkins, Bamboo and many others. This allows instant sync ups and real time updates between the integrated platforms.

For detailed information, relevant work flows and screens, you can visit our support documentation page - https://qmetrysupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/QPro/pages/35586883/Managing+Projects+Releases+and+Cycles#ManagingProjects,ReleasesandCycles-AddingaRelease/Cycle

The help link explains how to configure the releases and cycles for a project and link them to the testing artifacts.

"Good test case management tool"
4/5
What do you like best about QMetry Test Management?

1. The new UI is nice and clean and looks modern

2. I like how I can organize all the test case in a functional way that works for me as in the previous UI Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QMetry Test Management?

1. Once I drill into a test case for a detailed view, the hierarchical test case column disappears and I have to go through clicking into different folders again to find the test case I was working on

2. In order to reach the Left to Right scroll bar and pagination, I have to scroll down all the way. Its not the end of the world but it can be tedious. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Disha Thakkar of QMetry Test Management

Dear Atif,

Thank you for your kind words and valuable feedback. Your feedback helps our team to enhance and improve the product continuously based on real user scenarios and problems. We have released the new version of QMetry Test Management with completely revamped UI, to give our users a seamless experience.

(1) With respect to your point 1), in the new release, we have been able to resolve the issue regarding the test case detailed view. When you will close the test case from the detailed screen, it no longer resets your folder navigation, instead you will be kept in the same folder where you left . We have also simplified the process of filtering on the assets along with the organizing, managing and performing different operations on the folders..

(2) We have also made changes as per point 2), of your feedback. In QMetry Test Management, now you don’t need to scroll all the way to the bottom or to the right of the screen. We have now provided a box with horizongal and vertical scrolling bar in the centre of the screen. For each of the relevant modules, like user stories, test cases and test suites, you can see the respective testing artifacts.

Thanks, Atif for such a detailed review. It truly helps us to improve our product.

For detailed information, relevant workflows and screens, you can visit our support documentation page –

The above-mentioned link will explain in depth about configuring the test authoring.

Warm Regards,

Disha.

"I honestly hate it. "

What do you like best about QMetry Test Management?

We started using Qmetry after Spira. Spira had many features available that Qmetry does not and I cannot say I don' t miss them. Qmetry requires that you go through each and every single test case and click pass one by one. It is EXTREMELY time consuming. When you have a test set of let's say 4 tests for one feature back to back, you can easily test them all right then and there. (ex. login with bad credentials/good credentials = pass/fail) so if you test all 2 or all 3 or all 4 tests in a row, having to go through and manually pass each one can be a hassle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QMetry Test Management?

Time consumption and lack of easy UI. We trained for months on qmetry to get it right. So many hiccups and so many issues. You cannot delete certain things. You cannot perfect your UI for your test plans. It is so annoying to use a product that makes it difficult to do things accurately. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
