Qlik Sense is a very suitable analytics platform for SMB companies who have several business units or many different data sources and they have needs to consolidate information and getting quick insights. The associative model lets you to join heterogenous data tables and simplifies data modeling. **What do you dislike about Qlik Sense?** Rigid pricing, it's too expensive to scale to hundred-thousands users, when only they have need to report or basic consume. It would be great to have a lowest license to massively report. Lack of out-of-the-box advanced analytics. In September release seems to be included some basic as a cluster, but still miss some common machine learning methods like regression trees would be available in script. We miss governance capabilites: business glossary, data governance profiles for users, metadata management, master data, quality tools **Recommendations to others considering Qlik Sense:** Qlik Sense is the best choice when you have to consolidate various data sources with significative volumes. I think Qlik Sense is useful for directives, intermediate managers and business analysts. **What problems is Qlik Sense solving and how is that benefiting you?** With Qlik Sense deployment, we solve problems we had with our datawarehouse based in OLAP and MS Integration Services ETLs: - Reduce long reload times. We couldn't get daily data refresh until we deploy Qlik Sense. - Reduce development times. Every evolutive (including new measures and dimensiones) meant a really painfull task, because the complexity of the architecture: business logic distributed across the different tools of the MS Stack (views in SQL Server, projects Integration Services in Visual Studio, MDX, etc.) versus the simplicity of the Qlik Load Script. - Reduce maintenance. Syncing and extracting information from other websites and data sources is an incredible feature. A feature also enables the users to analyze the imported data and generate the perfect report properly. Data modeling is so helpful. **What do you dislike about Qlik Sense?** Only limited data modeling and navigation features are available, which sometimes takes longer because of heavy data importing in the system. The system sometimes also crashes due to more considerable-sized data processing. It connects well to every data source I've come across and even integrates well by being able to push data into other sources if required via store commands and API calls. Behind the scenes you have a powerful scripting area, allowing you to do all your ETL and to build a data warehouse using highly compressed QVD files. in the front end you have an in-memory data model that allows for rapid data discovery. The visualisations are crisp and tidy. The real stand out element of Qlik Sense is its associative engine which allows users to see data that is related and unrelated to selections. No other BI tool does this and it helps trigger new lines of query such as "why are we not selling this product?" rather than just simply seeing your top performers. There are many BI tools out there and their front ends all look as good as each other. I've tried most of them but Qlik is a BI developer's best friend because you have complete control over your data from start to finish. It also comes with master data items which apply a governance layer to self service apps. **What do you dislike about Qlik Sense?** The visualisations lose too much detail as they resize to adapt to smaller laptop screens but they can be expanded individually. Over the years they have been at the forefront of development and truely take on board their customers thoughts, opionons and feedback. Qlik Automations has been a game changer and we are moving more and more of our MS Automations over to Qlik. The new Qlik Authouring experience is fantastic and brings the overall feel of the product to a standard simialr to PowerBI but goes beyond. **What do you dislike about Qlik Sense?** Qlik Mobile/Table App Whilst usable i do feel is behind that of Power BI - more investment in terms of time and development here would go a long way. Access apps on the go is the way forward but i find when using it via the mobile/tablet, having to wait for it to render, to then expand a chart or table for it to re-render takes time, then you need to close that expansion to navigate elsewhere and in my opinion will put alot of users off using it. Qlik Automations A fantastic addition to their product offering and i use it ALOT. One of the drawbacks is whilst data can be read using blocks, Sharepoint, Dropbox, and OneDrive, i feel Qlik is missing a trick, they havent allowed or built yet the ability to read existing or store out to QVDs on the tenant **What problems is Qlik Sense solving and how is that benefiting you?** MS Dynamics 365 Business Central Connector, we are currently one of many users of this financial system but Qlik hasn't yet developed a connector to thie system, the lines of PowerBI, Powerautomate and i think Zapier all have connectors. We have overcome the issue with use of the REST API connector and Qlik i believe are developing a connector but i think they need to do more in this space. ### 22. The interface is quit easy to work with and comes with the ability to perform in graph filter (i.e. click and view). What I found most interesting is its ability to do drill-down to understand the root-cause of a particular behaviour from a data perspective. **What do you dislike about Qlik Sense?** Overall QlikSense has been very helpful. The only downside I witnessed a few times was the latency aspect. E2E analytics tool **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2022 **What do you like best about Qlik Sense?** It is a tool with multiple parts that allows you from the extraction and processing of data in real time to the automation of actions according to the data obtained, not just showing some graphics from a dashboard. **What do you dislike about Qlik Sense?** What I like least is that some of these tools are licensed separately, greatly increasing costs, and that most of the improvements are only being implemented in the cloud. **What problems is Qlik Sense solving and how is that benefiting you?** It unifies in a single tool almost all the needs of analytics. In addition, now with AutoML it also provides you with AI to make projections of the data you enter. ### 26. The concept of QVD files. Also the insights bots is a fantastic feature and the ODAG feature as well. The scripting language is very rich and Qlik is a tool thats very quikly to build an app or dashboard. **What do you dislike about Qlik Sense?** That the analyst license can't add personal objects in Saas like Qlik on-premise version. In Qlikview on-premise each user can add own charts and objects. This is a feature I miss in Saas. **What problems is Qlik Sense solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are migrating from another BI to Qlik because the previuos one doesn't work well.
