Mixing of Audio also gives wonderful results **What do you dislike about Pydub?** Most of the things are wonderful. Only thing which gives bad sense is using the Pydub for bad intentions. **What problems is Pydub solving and how is that benefiting you?** I work for an IT company and we need to host online sessions and then publish it online. Sometimes, there are certain background noises which disturbs the whole session. Using Pydub helps me removing those noises to better extent. ### 2. The code is there for anyone to hack and in case you want to implement any new feature yourself. This is a huge win, you are in control **What do you dislike about Pydub?** I think we need a UI. To increase the reach of PyDub, we need to make sure it is simple and intuitive. Other than that, the documentation needs to be revamped as well **Recommendations to others considering Pydub:** Pydub is good at what it does, it is simple and the source is yours to hack and extend. **What problems is Pydub solving and how is that benefiting you?** Using PyDub to prepare the audio tracks before we push them to our processing pipeline ### 3. An overall positive review of Pydub **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Dimitris P. | Junior Developer, Research, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2016 **What do you like best about Pydub?** The interface with the pretty straight forward API, support (through ffmpeg) of virtually any audio format **What do you dislike about Pydub?** High memory consumption for large audio files, dependency on ffmpeg makes installation tricky some times, especially on linux where the situation with libav does not help either Need for transformation to wav files is also a negative as it makes the process slower for more commonly found audio files (e.g mp3s) **Recommendations to others considering Pydub:** Feel free to use Pydub as it's a cool library, but in production make sure you don't exhaust the resources of your system ### 4. Opening and editing files is simple. The program is fast enough. **What do you dislike about Pydub?** I dislike it the fact that the entire song is loaded in memory. This can cause problems if it is a large song.
