Very useful software! **Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Darri Rafn H. | Business Intelligence Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2024 **What do you like best about Pxier Event?** I'm a big fan of exMon Data Quality, which can monitor and and inform you about all kinds of exceptions in your data. I honestly think most companies that are data-oriented should have exMon DQ, because we all need to know about anomalies and wrong registrations in our data and quickly. exMon Data Management is also very beneficial in my line of work and is a perfect alternative to Excel when it comes to storing all kinds of tables and manual data. Using Excel in an enterprise environment for Power BI can be problematic and among other things exMon DM makes all those problems go away. I really like that importing data has all sorts of options, such as import from clipboard, database or files. **What do you dislike about Pxier Event?** Not many downsides but I think exMon DQ could benfit from a UI facelift. Some components could very well be created via drag-and-drop. Even some modern features such as notifications or a Teams message instead of email. **What problems is Pxier Event solving and how is that benefiting you?** I would say the problem-solving features of exMon are mostly twofold: helping us monitor and inform users about exceptions and anomalies in the data with Data Quality, and making manual data entry simple for users and data engineers on the other end with Data Governance. Both features are very valuable and highly recommended. ### 2. Processes are easily created from individual tasks and run on as many schedules as needed. Process maps provide an excellent overview of the overall status, and when things need to be back on track, business users can restart processes from the web portal. Exception management has proved invaluable on many occasions both to provide data integrity assurance and point out discrepancies. When a data quality exception has been raised, it can be assigned to a business user or a group of users for resolution **What do you dislike about Pxier Event?** I've been using Exmon for over ten years in two organizations. Of course, there have been issues, but these have been quickly resolved, and the Exmon products have grown in capabilities over the years and provided significant value for management and data quality **What problems is Pxier Event solving and how is that benefiting you?** Exmon provides a framework to tackle data quality issues, master data management and process governance ### 3. We save time by using Exmon and have more faith in our data. Managers and executives have more faith in our data and our revenue after we started using Exmon. **What do you dislike about Pxier Event?** We have not seen a downside so far! Our only advice is to have time to implement this great tool and to have the right mindset of the users. This is not a space for an improvement for Exmon, more as a keep in mind for the user. **What problems is Pxier Event solving and how is that benefiting you?** Exmon is monitoring if our customer database is current and contains the correct information for billing. We had a rather large revenue leak, and after that, we needed more comfort in our data, which led to the implementation of Exmon. We have more comfort after the implementation that we are collecting all and correct revenue. This has led to better customer service and better revenue monitoring. ### 4. Improved data quality: exMon supports having a clear and defined process for managing and maintaining data, and ensuring one can improve the quality of that data. This means that better decisions can be made and better results can be achieved, as one can trust that the data being worked with is accurate and reliable. Efficient data management:exMon can help a business manage its data more efficiently by providing a tool which is simple to use and operate. This can save time and resources and help to minimize errors or duplicates in data. Better collaboration: exMon enabled companies to collaborate about the data defintions and data. Ensuring that, different departments and employees can work more effectively together. This increases productivity and contribute to a more efficient business. Stronger compliance with rules and standards: exMon help ensure that a business complies with relevant rules and standards. This can reduce the risk of fines or other negative consequences due to non-compliance. Overall, exMon can help a business make better decisions, work more efficiently, reduce risk, and open up new opportunities for growth and success. **What do you dislike about Pxier Event?** The main shortcoming of exMon is related to the current UI experience which is pending a much wished fore visual improvement which will enable even more business users to embrace the tool. **What problems is Pxier Event solving and how is that benefiting you?** Ensuring that the business users can work actively with Master data, monitor data quality and that organizations can drive improvements and increase efficiency by an overall better Data Governance process ### 5. I also really like their exMon DG software that helps me stop bad data and monitor various processes. **What do you dislike about Pxier Event?** Their new offering, the online Portal is great, but it has some downsides. For example, it would be great to get the hierarchy feature to work online, but that is probably the only thing I dislike. **What problems is Pxier Event solving and how is that benefiting you?** I for example use exMon DM when I need a place to store my "homeless" data. I also use it to further enrich my data, such as creating accounting trees. I also use exMon DG a lot to monitor my data and processes. ### 6. All of these environamenst and more seem native to exMon DG. The ability to compare data in segregated environments in a single query; without having to extract and stage the various data saves so much time and previous data store capacity. These are only a few of the great features of this platform. **What do you dislike about Pxier Event?** It is difficult to find anything, in our environment; mostly late 90's and newer, we have still be wanting for a data quality platform and reporting which has been achieved with exMon DG. After edMon we almost never revert to MS SSRS. **What problems is Pxier Event solving and how is that benefiting you?** Data quality ensurane Proccess quality ensurance Data management - the ability to create proccesses that transfer and/or enrich data to use in reporting environments (Power Bi, etc.) is great ### 7. The "paste from clipboard dialogue" with its merge functionality is also excellent. **What do you dislike about Pxier Event?** There are a few bugs here and there, which they usually fix very quickly.
