IP protection: It helps users hide their real IP address and choose from an array of multiple IP addresses. You can choose to circumvent censorship by choosing the country of your choice. Peer to peer file sharing: Some internet service providers try to throttle peer to peer traffic and PureVPN helps me circumvent it. Encryption by default: This enables bulletproof encryption and protects personal data from snooping. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about PureDome? Consuming too much resources: I have used multiple VPN apps and this app consumes a lot of computing resources unnecessarily. I suspect that this app is secretly mining bitcoin in my machine. Poor bandwidth availability: I have a 150 Mbps bandwidth connection and this app only gives me close to 10 Mbps, this is unacceptable, they need to increase their number of servers thereby increasing their bandwidth. Opaque differential pricing: I find the pricing model very opaque, the website shows different prices on different browser tabs and devices. They should give everyone a single customer the same price to inspire confidence, I find this multiple prices for the same product unethical. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Encrypting Internet traffic: PurVPN encrypts all my internet traffic by default, no one like my internet service provider, or a malicious actor like an identity thief or hacker can see my information when I use PureVPN Hiding my IP address: An IP address is a sensitive piece of information, PureVPN helps me protect my real IP address Staying secure on public Wifi: Public Wifi can be dangerous as it makes all our data vulnerable to hacking, PUREvpn gives me peace of mind that all my data is safe. PureVPN has many shortcomings and I have listed them below: Frequent disconnections: The VPN often disconnects exposing your public IP, the whole point of the VPN is to protect your IP address, but because of these frequent disconnections users are left vulnerable App consumes too much CPU: The pureVPN app uses too much CPU and memory, which heats up my laptop, and makes the computer slow Limited country options: In comparison to the competition, PUREVPN gives you limited options in terms of the number of countries and servers available. Lack of support for peer to peer sharing: Many locations supported by pureVPN does not support peer to peer file sharing, only a select hand full of locations lets you do this. It helps encrypt the outbound and inbound data traffic that comes in and out of the machine. This feature comes in handy when using Wifi networks that one does not control or trust. The internet service providers sometimes throttle and slows down internet traffic on purpose, during then if we use pureVPN the speeds are restored to normalcy. In some networks peer to peer file sharing protocols like bittorrent these blocks can be circumvented as purevpn circumvents these blocks. It also helps me protect my IP address from being exposed to trackers and hackers. Also it has hundreds of country options that lets users access geo-blocked options. It is very inexpensive and I live purevpn is a great value for money option. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about PureDome? The connection sometimes drops randomly and exposes my real IP address. I would recommend enabling the VPN kill switch feature. Also we have a 150 Mbps connection but while on the VPN we get only 10 Mbps. This is a drop of more than 90%. of the bandwidth. We found a promotion last year, lifetime access for around $600, so we paid for 2 accounts and with that we have our VPN needs covered at least until we grow enough that we need a dedicated service, it has servers all over the world so testing connectivity from any country to our VPS and websites is easy, and fast without any extra cost since we already have the lifetime plan.
