**What do you like best about Pulley?**

I have used Carta at previous companies, but as those companies grew, it became harder and harder to get in touch with them. When we were raising our early round, I decided to give Pulley a try instead. Right from the start, their team was personable and attentive, and my experience with them has only gotten better over time. Now, with more than 100 investors managed through Pulley, our entire cap table is maintained electronically. They have also handled several 409A valuations for us, and their valuation team - especially Owen - has been outstanding.

The customer success team—especially Michelle—and really everyone I've interacted with, have been fantastic. Whenever we need assistance or advice, I have tremendous peace of mind knowing they will respond quickly, kindly, and effectively, usually within just a few hours.

All in all, working with Pulley has been a wonderful experience. I highly recommend them.

No, I haven't experienced any downsides after relying on them for three years.

Pulley has streamlined everything related to equity for us, from managing our internal cap table to coordinating with our large private investors. All documentation is online and easily accessible to everyone who needs it. With over 100 investors now managed through Pulley, our entire cap table is maintained electronically, which has made things much more efficient. They have also taken care of several 409A valuations for us, and their valuation team has been exceptional.

The customer success team, especially Michelle, along with everyone else I’ve interacted with, has been fantastic. Whenever we need help or advice, I have great peace of mind knowing they will respond quickly, kindly, and effectively—usually within just a few hours.

The product description by the Pulley sales professional was very professional.  The onboarding specialist they assigned to me was extraordinary. We had a complex cap table with many stakeholders and she populated our Pulley platform with great patience and accuracy.

**What do you dislike about Pulley?**

I'm new to the platform but hav had enough experience to say that I have no complaints.  It's exactly what we needed to solve a big cap table management problem.

**What problems is Pulley solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a large number of shareholders in a private company.  Previous cap table management was done on a spreadsheet and was a nightmare.  The benefit will be enabling us to manage our shareholder requests and gives us options for the future.

Unlike carta, pulley lets you create template forms with variables so you can issue securities and get the corresponding documentation signed in one step. The support staff is very  responsive and helpful.

**What do you dislike about Pulley?**

The note conversion tool is a bit crufty. When processing a huge financing where 100s of notes convert, it's a bit tedious to have to convert the notes one by one and not at the same time as when you enter the shares in, like on carta.

They were better than Carta, at first. Their onboarding was clearer, but they eventually dropped the ball and just asked us to fill in everything ourselves.

**What do you dislike about Pulley?**

They did not complete onboarding, and were unresponsive for a few months. Then they refused to cancel the subscription, after I repeatedly told them to cancel it. They have tried to bill, without permission, several times.

They should solve cap table management, but they have yet to do it for us.

Quite a few: 1. not fully function for financial audit purpose as stock admin platform 2 lack of bulk import data feature for mass import of grants, employee cost center or employee ID 3 customer service support lacks of help clients through financial audit experiences fg I asked some basic stock grants report for financial audit and customer service had hard time to understand my request. 4 duplicate grant numbers without warning or stop by the system

I had an amazing experience with Pulley. We needed to get a 409A valuation completed in record time and our team from sales to onboarding to valuations was able to work with us (incredibly prompt responses) to move everything forward. This has definitely been one of the most impressive feats by a vendor that I've experienced.

Honestly, nothing really. The only ding was inconsistent messaging between website and webapp around delivery estimates.

For now the main purpose we wanted to use Pulley was for its 409A valuation, and now we're able to use them for Cap Table management, which should simplify our lives.

**What do you like best about Pulley?**

Lots of features for managing the captable including automatic generation of option agreements, board consents and other legal docs as well as spectacular 409A reports.  Excellent reporting features and nice-to-have features such as dataroom, automated investor updates, hiring, etc.  Product is easy to use and has detailed documentation.  We have yet to find any substantial bugs in the software.  Customer support is incredibly fast and resolves issues quickly.  Transitioning to Pulley is easy in that they can help do the bulk of the data porting for you.

**What do you dislike about Pulley?**

No major downsides.  ASC-718 feature is great but still requires some work on the company side for accounting

Pulley helps us keep everything related to equity in one place, which has been a huge benefit. We used to rely on spreadsheets and emails, and it was easy for things to get messy or outdated. Now, we have a single source of truth for our cap table, SAFEs, and employee grants—with accurate, up-to-date data we can actually trust. It gives us peace of mind, especially when onboarding new team members. Everything just feels more organized and under control.

The team is very hands on when onboarding new companies and they're there to help make everything go smoothly. Cap table management is a necessity if you plan to establish and maintain an equity incentive plan and the price is far better than alternatives out there. 10/10 would recommend. The 409As are quick and painless.

There are certain security and profit sharing features that don't work exactly right, including vesting for double trigger, and profit sharing is not useable. The payroll integrations have not manifested as promised.

I'm new to the world of running your own business and taking on investors. Pulley has been a God-send product for me and my small founding team. It takes out all of the guess work and helped me interact with existing and potential investors seamlessly. Many times I've chatted with Igor, my customer support rep, who is always able to answer my question and 99% of the time on the first try.

**What do you dislike about Pulley?**

The site can be a bit overwhelming at first to understand what is what as a new founder. There are lot of terms and parameters that I had to google what it meant - my only feedback would be to include more help text or tool tip bubbles to help me figure things out - maybe an example too.

Pulley is my one-stop-shop for issuing new SAFE notes and managing my Cap table

The onboarding process was very fast and positive. Completed in a couple of days!
We also got a 409A valuation done right away. The report was thorough, reflecting the state of our business accurately and fairly, and sets a great basis for our equity-based compensation plan.
The web-based userinterface is intuitive and so far seems to offer everything we need, and a few that I didn't relaize I needed. - Like a solid boiler-plate option agreement for use (as as a starting point) when using options to compensate international contractors.

There has been nothing to dislike at this point

Pulley replaces spreadsheets for CAP table management and puts us on a strong footing for starting an options-based compensation plan

got a startup team of 6, got to handle equitey admin work myself before growing team to include admin personnel, however it's critical to manage equity properly to retain key talents, can't pull it off without pulley, keep up the great work !

**What do you like best about Pulley?**

When I signed up I was torn between Pulley and its competitors (Carta and AngelList). Similar services, similar prices. 

Pulley was promoting their service with a simpler/faster onboarding process and I can confirm that it was really smooth. The rep was friendly and walked me through the process. We had every feature in Pulley we needed thus far (at seed stage, with a sizable team). The interface is simple, good UX, etc.

**What do you dislike about Pulley?**

Not much to dislike really, we are using our own document templates, and not the ones built in, but mostly because our lawyers prepared those as a part of our incorporation process.

Pulley is the single source of truth for our captable. We use it to record option/share grants and it is used by our employees as a employee portal.

It's a very step-by-step and intuitive way to manage our cap table, issue equity, and receive 409A valuations. Everything was very straightforward and felt fair. Florence by representative from Pulley was also extremely friendly and great to speak with.

Not much! It's a great platform. One small thing is that I feel like the onboarding call could have been a bit earlier in the process.

My favorite aspect of Pulley has been it's simplicity from Day 1. Navigating financing and managing a captable is daunting regardless of whether you're a first time founder or not. Pulley has been pretty seamless and I've found their educational tools, insights and services teams all very helpful.

Pricing will likely increase as they grow. Hopefully Pulley will continue to segment based on history and years as client in addition to users.

I've used it both from the Founder side and from the investor side. Great platform. They were very supportive with set up and one of the easier platforms to execute a SAFE through.

There's some potential for redundancy with Clerky. Most founders incorporate their company through Clerky, so making the jump from one the the other is a bit odd.

After using other cap table products we finally found Pulley.  Pulley is simple and easy to use not just for the company, but also for our shareholders and board of directors.  Their tools for communication, resolutions, stakeholder tracking, and more in my opinion are unmatched in the user experience.

There is really nothing that we dislike about Pulley.  I hope they add more features to the newsletter soon, but those will just be additional value add.

**What do you like best about Pulley?**

Pulley has been a game changer for manaing our cap table. It's user-friendly and packed with features that are essential for cap table management.

Pulley's UI is intuitive, it isn't overly busy, but is still feature-rich. Inputting stock agreements is super simple, including uploading new stock agreements for the same investor. Understanding your cap table at a glance is a key strength, especially for complex equity dynamics with multiple stock classes, SAFEs, etc. 

The standout features  for me are 1) Pulley's Excel export function (it's perfect for diving into the details of the cap table or when you need to share it) and 2) Pulley's scenario modeling for future fundraising situations. 

I recommend Pulley to startup founders and entrepreneurs. It simplifies cap table management like no other tool I've used.

Strongly recommended!

**What do you dislike about Pulley?**

The automated feature when uploading a stock purchase agreement or SAFE still needs work, but it can be helpful.
Sometimes the navigation can feel a bit TOO layered, but this isn't a make or break issue for me.

Pulley solves the problem of cap table management and understanding where your future equity ownership will fall, which is so important when raising on SAFEs in particular.

We are an 18 year old company that has kept our cap table on a spreadsheet.   We tried another leading cap table software provider and had to abandon them after 6 months of trying to set things up.   The Pulley team was able to work with our spreadsheet and our management team to set things up in a fraction of the time it was taking the other leading company.  We were able to get a 409a done from that setup with minimal effort on our side.  We are thrilled with the product and the service we have received.  This will be a much larger company in a few years.

While we are thrilled with Pulley they still lack a few features that will show our employees the value of their holdings now and in the future.  We are optimistic that future releases will provide that.

The customer-focused team is working on understanding what pains exist and how to remedy them. From the product experience to customer support and sales, everyone is responsive and interested in figuring out what provides value.

**What do you dislike about Pulley?**

I wish the fundraising modeler was more powerful and usable. Carta still leads in that regard, but they have stopped innovating in other areas. I trust that Pulley will catch up and outpace. I wonder if how it's priced (per stakeholder) may become an issue at some point (Angel List Stack does that part better).

**What problems is Pulley solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cap table management is essential and difficult. Pulley does that well, with reasonable next steps for how to improve. Overall, between Carta, Angel List Stack, and Pulley, I have to choose Pulley.

**What do you like best about Pulley?**

As a small & learn team, we need to move quickly to resolve our employee's needs around equity and comp. Pulley makes it super simple and easy to find what I need, and get my team answers when they need it. It's also surprisingly powerful, and isn't as "lightweight" as I thought when first signing up. The best part of my experience with Pulley has been with their support team, who is responsive, helpful, and willing to jump in to solve specific hardstops I encounter. They work with their own engineering team to resolve issues for me on the backend within hours. It's really been a great experience.

**What do you dislike about Pulley?**

Pulley probably maxes out if you have a highly complex equity plan that requires a lot of edge-case handling. Fortunately, that's not us, but I would imagine you may need a more robust solution at 500+ employees.

Pulley helps us effectively manage our equity, allows employees to self-serve questions about their equity, and get fast and easy board approvals.
