It is effortless to use. It is essential to keep data in a proper manner and place. While working on large design projects, we find it very useful for quick search of data we need. We get the benefit of keeping data backup on the windchill. We often get storage issues, so it's a perfect option for large companies. The user interface is a little difficult for new users. Proper training is required before using it. Otherwise, there will be jumbling and loss of data. Freshers cannot handle it alone without guidance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

2. Can manage design document like customer approved drawings and other documents easily

3. During BOM creation structure making is user friendly

4. ECR & ECN workflow is as per standards and user friendly also

Below mentioned points which i disliked while using

1. During viewing partlist option it is not easy to convert that in Excel

2. WT part and drawing can be separate but it should not be there Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ability to support non-Creo visualization format for the CAD geometries.

Best thing about wind chill is that it belongs to PTC, which is having Best Design Softwares like CREO wildfire which can be connected with windchill and all drawing, 3D cad, Part codes, Their ECN, promotion can be connected well. When I open a part in windchill and want to see it's 3D CAD then use that particular cad file will be downloaded and then can be opened in CREO. But there is alternate of that, you can open windchill directly in CREO and then cad can be opened in same window Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are many features in windchill that anyone can likes. I personally likes Data updation through ECR/ECN , Revision on files and the best thing is that you can keep both files in it, new as well as old. So anyone you feel you needed to go earlier one and there is no need for revised one. You can easily delete or overlap the same. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The downside of using PTC windchill is that we have to create WT part manually of files to create windchill BOM Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
