It is extremely hard for newbies to work with. Very low user-friendliness. You have to click so many times just to open file or to do anything. Also every click could cause issues for you and you need admin for almost everything. And then there are bugs... so many of them. We had to delay our entire portfolio just because of Windchill. There is PLM system that give access to all the user and there having facility to view that drawing is that in which state and you can download latest drawing. Am using PTC Windchill for four years. Product Life cycle management is made simple using this tool. We use this software for Bill Of Material(BOM) creation, Check-in and check-out of CAD data, design documents, process management and design generation. The best part I noticed is we can able to customize its user interface, which is really helpful and user-friendly. We can able to do Engineering Change Request(ECR) and Engineering Change Notice(ECN) easily. It integrates and performs well with PTC creo. Product data can be searched and accessed from any department in our organization without any trouble. Drawing revisions can be made easily, and it notifies the change to all the users in the loop. Errors sometimes occur while working on larger CAD models that result in hanging and closing the program; this seems uncomfortable while working.
