When I need to built up a plant in Sale and Quotation phase or detail engineering phase, Windchill provide an excellent solution to store all machines and elements. Moreover, BoM is managed logically, it's easy to remember structure of BoM, and position of elements. 2. The preview UI form is a perfect solution for anyone doesn't want to open every files. 3. I can not modify AutoCAD file once I was checked into windchill, we need to separate make new AUTOCAD file, while we can easily modified creo part once we had checked into windchill. The fact that it saves your data the way you left if and you can go back to previous versions if needed. And you can return unmodified and start over if need be. Windchill creates BOM's linked to your drawings balloons & other pertinent info like material, vendor data, various company standards etc. that works well with Creo & Solid Works. The most useful thing is the regular updates which are very useful to work with. I don't see much of the downside while using Windchill. The only place which I dislike is there is no much update on Windchill Risk and Reliability.
