**What do you like best about PSIM?**

PSIM is very helpful to simulate electrical circuits especially in Power Electronics, motors,etc

**What do you dislike about PSIM?**

Honestly, PSIM is very good, but if there is one thing that can be improved, they can improve the look and feel of the software.

PSIM is helping users simulate complex electrical circuits and analyse them under different conditions to determine their characteristics.

**What do you like best about PSIM?**

We have been using version 7.0.5 for many years and recently purchased a new one, which is 2021b. Generally, I am satisfied with the program. The high speed of the simulation and easy creation of the logical part of the schematic diagram and its connection with the power part allows us to quickly obtain reliable results helpful in the hardware implementation of both the power part and the control system.

**What do you dislike about PSIM?**

I found some minor bugs. I think they are because the software has recently been significantly modernized. Fortunately, the technical support responds well and helps solve and patch problems if necessary.

**What problems is PSIM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I design frequency converters for induction heating. The simulation results obtained with PSIM allow me to save a lot of time I would have to spend testing the real circuit.

**What do you like best about PSIM?**

Over the years, PSIM has consistently included new components to enable engineers like me to create excellent and accurate simulations easily. The interface is also great.

**What do you dislike about PSIM?**

Sometimes the license drops while building the simulation, which disturbs the workflow.

**What problems is PSIM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving electrical simulations for electric vehicles.

**What do you like best about PSIM?**

The efficiency and the ability of working on very high frequencies without any hassle is the biggest advantage. Plus, freely chosing components and designing them according to the need and the datasheets are beneficial.

**What do you dislike about PSIM?**

Classically looking icons, interface and its old style limit the reach of the software, imho. Also, the interactive actions like adding a line and flipping components are somewhat weird.

**What problems is PSIM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been using a different simulator for a long time and had to switch to PSIM due to time efficiency. Hence, the software has saved us a lot of time. Financially, it did not help us ever since we use the software for academic purposes.

Most toolboxes need to order separately/ spice models support/Simcoupler timing syncronization

DC/DC Converter/EMI analysis/ Sensitivity and Montecarlo analysis/GaN HEMT/ Example and training which cause the reliable reference and simulation results

**What do you like best about PSIM?**

Great tool for simulating Power converter circuits .Smartctrl feature is vey helpful for designing feedback control system. Simulating circuits with SiC and GaN semiconductor devices helps in understanding the circuit design,loss analaysis and performance in real time. Overall Great tool for power electronics simulation.

**What do you dislike about PSIM?**

Exporting simview results in single layout screen  like (2*2,3*2) would be much beneficial

Great user manuals, clear selection of components, fast analysis, multiple simulation options available and good descriptive errors.

**What do you dislike about PSIM?**

There's not much I dislike, it's better than any other circuit simulation software ive tried so far.

**What problems is PSIM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Transient time analysis of SMPS converters using quasi resonant switching. This software is a proof of concept and is benefiting me by confirming whether my ideas work.

**What do you like best about PSIM?**

In PSIM, it's very easy to generate code for embedded targets. For instance, we use PSIM to generate control algorithm forTI 28335 DSP. It's fastly generate C code and other files.  Additionally, the PSIM team fastly responded to our emails.

**What do you dislike about PSIM?**

Sometimes you can not some blocks that are frequently used in other programs.

PSIM solves the code generation problem fastly.

Simple, intuitive and very well done. In addition, online support is always available for clarification and problems in the use.

In using it so far, I have not found any faults except for the somewhat lengthy activation procedure, but otherwise no problems.

simple user-friendly interface. runs smoothly on low-power PCs.

the auto wire routing is sometimes annoying.

I used PSIM all year for my final year of engineering in a subject called Power electronics and drives. The software was an invaluable tool in modeling the startup torque power curves for motors. this was just one example of many uses.

Interaction between for example .csv and PSIM is not easy way to do.

- cosimulation with Simulink is super practical
- little tips at each opening of the software to improve little by little

- environment is a bit old-fashioned
- not very natural use in the construction of the circuits (e.g., deletion of elements)
- lack of information about the equations used and how the software solves them

**What problems is PSIM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used PSIM to model the electronic part of the matrix converter to continue the work by progressively modifying the ideal elements used by elements with realistic characteristics (essential point in the switch management of the matrix converters). From this point of view, the implementation under PSIM will be advantageous before a real-life application.

The fixed time step that could help some time (but should only be a spice option)
The C blocks, 
The simplicity to create a PWM controller model

**What do you dislike about PSIM?**

The graphical interface, reloading at each movement,
the "green" and "red" world that lead to confusions (not solved simultaneously)
The solver that you do not know how it works, no information of max iteration at each step or misconvergence issues
The "no convergence problems" of PSIM belief
the no units in m (milli), n(nano), others and even between volts and amperes (in the viewer)
the not well working functionnality of recording every nodes voltages and branch currents to debug a simulation
the no possibility to name the nets that could be enough for the voltmeters not to name them as well
the no possibility of having the result file in a different folder than the model file
the no possibility to view a model file when loosing a remote licence
and they have a nice SPICE option for LTSpice link that you can pay for...

**Recommendations to others considering PSIM:**

I'd rather suggest a good SPICE option (Simetrix/Simplis or even LTSpice)
or maybe PSIM for motor control tools but I have never used it

For the moment I have never solved problems with PSIM
