## PRWeb Reviews
  ### 1. Effortless News Distribution to Key Media Outlets

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Holly R. | Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2025

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

Very efficient way to post a news release online, typically seen by key news outlets and media

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

Sometimes can get expensive to utilize, especially if using often or want to include media to the releases

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mainstream way to post a news release

  ### 2. Terrible Service

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2025

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

It's cheaper than other PR press release services.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

Non-existent customer service. They do not respond. No phone number. No chat. No Visibility Report. They send the release to junk sites. I paid more than $400. How are these people in business??

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I get out a release that the client can see.

  ### 3. Improve your brand searches with PRweb press releases

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sachin K. | Senior Consultant SFMC | Digital Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2024

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

It is easy to use and nearly contains every possible platform where your brand can be seen after publishing the press release.
Indirectly, the published press releases helps you to build a good brand value and bring quality search traffic as well.
Being in Digital marketing industry I have used prweb as one of the strong tool to bring awareness about my clients.
Easy templates made it easy to use. You will love it if you are looking to improve brand traffic.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

Reporting feature through which i can exactly review the performace.
PRWeb offers some targeting options, but they may not be as granular as other services. This could mean your release reaches irrelevant audiences, diluting its impact. But it is something which can be managed from some other alternatives like adding UTM parameters to your URL to track the numbers in analytics tool.

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As i have mentioned earlier, being associated with the startups, big brands, even with the small scale projects, when it comes to improve brand visibility, PRweb is a good alternative. PRWeb helps businesses gain public visibility by distributing press releases, potentially improving brand awareness, attracting customers, and building trust. It offers an affordable entry point for businesses new to press releases, although some advanced features require extra fees.

  ### 4. Good, affordable tool for distributing press releases

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James H. | Marketing Content Writer and Program Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2023

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

I used PRWeb at a previous position as a way to distribute press releases. Loading text into their platform was fairly simple, and it didn't take any special training or onboarding. The platform also did exactly what it promised: It helped our release appear on hundreds of sites. When we *did* need assistance, customer support was speedy and helpful. Best of all, it could be an extremely affordable option, too, making it a good choice for smaller businesses.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

It felt like PRWeb charged for upsells at every chance it got, even for features that seemed so basic, it felt like they should have been included as a matter of course. But that was a very minor complaint, all things considered.

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My previous employer operated in a fairly small niche, and our headquarters was located in a smaller city outside typical tech circles. Thus, it was harder for us to attract attention for our news. PRWeb was a great (and affordable) way for us to use a larger megaphone and attract more attention for our product and its website.

  ### 5. Good Tool If You Are New to PR

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ken O. | Motivational Keynote Speaker & Virtual Speaker for Conferences and Businesses, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2021

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

PR Web provides you the ability to send out press releases, even if you don't have a PR department or position in your organization. You can use their templates to write your releases. If you choose, you can target your pitches to specific news outlets and influencers. And your releases can go on the web, helping your organization in search engine results.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

There are different service packages, and you will pay more for a wider release. Make sure you understand what you're paying for and how big a potential audience you need to target. Keep in mind that news outlets receive countless press releases every day, and yours may not read for more than a few seconds, if at all. Maybe test out your release on friends to see if they agree that it's newsworthy.

**Recommendations to others considering PRWeb:**

Consider the service but review all options in the marketplace. Hiring a freelancer, who may have an account with a press release service, might be a better option. If you're not confident in your writing, consider hiring someone to help you do it or use PR Web for that task. Make sure your contact information is correct, as journalists may contact you and need a speedy response. They likely will give you one chance to connect.

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's great to send a press release to a specific producer or reporter at a targeted organization. Often that contact information is really tough to discover. I've had responses from reporters, producers, and social media influencers, whom I would never have reached otherwise.

  ### 6. Transitioned to PRNewswire

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2022

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

PRWeb used to be a cost-effective solution that I would often use instead of "more expensive" services. I would often find that the value was better in comparison to other services because it used the same syndication services.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

I have mentioned this regarding other Cision products -- the company has purchased many competitors, and as a user, it is difficult to "shop around" and feel that you are getting value-for-money.

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Distribution with PRWeb was always easy and cost-effective. I never had any complaints about the product, and to be honest, the acquisition was the reason I stopped using it. If you are already using Cision, why would you look at the same services under one umbrella? I stopped using it as a legacy customer after I used up the package of releases I had purchased.

  ### 7. Efficient and Effective PR Distribution

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2024

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

PRWeb provides a platform to distribute press releases to a broad audience and media outlets. So definitely like it for its wide reach. It is also easy to use and intuitive about next steps. Quality customer support is crucial, PRWeb provides responsive and helpful customer support.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

It would be good to be able to target a niche. I feel the targeting is usually very broad. If there was an option to target a niche with a lower budget.

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves a lot of problems such as PR visibility, targeted distribution and professional formatting and post PR analytics.

  ### 8. An affordable, good tool for press release your media press

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2024

I have used this tool for sending my press release to send multiple client to know my company media news. It's very easy to setup, creating media list and sending press release to them.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

I feel reporting function can be enhanced more.

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sending press news to my prospecting and existing client

  ### 9. Great press release distribution tool in this price

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Preena P. | Account Supervisor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2021

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

I really enjoy using PRWeb within my role at a public relations agency. PRWeb does a great job of collecting data on clients and competitors within the industry.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

I dislike the organization of the website. I think that this should be improved upon.

**Recommendations to others considering PRWeb:**

I would recommend using PRWeb for any PR, marketing or advertising needs. I think this is a really helpful tool to those needing updates and real-time information of the latest news.

  ### 11. Everything you need in a media search solution

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2022

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

Expansive database of media contacts and their contact information, regularly updated information, search features which allow you to sort journalists by their target areas.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

Sometimes information (primarily journalist publication info and contact information along with it) is not updated fast enough at the pace of how journalists jump around. Sometimes it will take months for this to be updated.

**Recommendations to others considering PRWeb:**

Evaluate time savings for having a media database vs. trying to find contact information one-by-one.

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problems we're solving is how to best contact journalists and which journalists to contact based on a client's area of focus. It's also a good way to make media lists which are more engaging and easier to edit as a group/across different agencies.

  ### 12. Press release distribution made easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2021

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

I like that you can select which regions or verticals that you'd like to publish your press releases to - and that you can schedule releases in advance. Makes it very easy to manage multiple releases at once.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

It would be nice if the image upload allowed for more than one photo. We found a workaround to create collages and give the appearance of multiple photos but not ideal.

**Recommendations to others considering PRWeb:**

If you're considering other PR distribution platforms, check out PRWeb first! You won’t be sorry!

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were able to much more quickly generate and distribute our press releases. As a small team, this efficiency was invaluable. Pricing is also extremely affordable which saved us lots of resources we could use elsewhere.

  ### 13. PRWeb

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2018

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

It is easy to navigate within the website, submit press releases, and target particular regions and topics for their news.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

system processes slow down the distribution of material. There are also additional fees for same day release. the service’s requirement to have authorization from companies mentioned in the news release can slow down the distribution time

**Recommendations to others considering PRWeb:**

When choosing a press release service, it’s important that the system integrates with other applications your business is currently using. PRWeb does this well.

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The website makes uploading press releases quick and easy. The editorial team provides excellent support in proofreading materials to ensure that it hits all the important parameters.

  ### 14. A convenient way to get access to major press releases!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ernesto A. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2019

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

I can access it to find the press releases that are most relevant to my business.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

It's good for an overview of major outlets and industries, but smaller players get cut off.

**Recommendations to others considering PRWeb:**

It'll give you a starting point of industry related press releases.

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us keep up to date and gives us a starting point.

  ### 15. Good product. Reasonably priced.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dara A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2018

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

I like the price, interface and ease of use.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

PR Web is more costly if you need to send an immediate release.

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Disseminating business news.

  ### 16. Deceptive pricing and advertising of services

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2021

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

Easy to use and nothing much more. To tell the truth it's hard to find something good about it

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

Outdated UI/UX
Low reach and distribution
Deceptive advertising and prices - it says on the Premium package twice > Go viral. But when reaching out to customer service they say that this is not true and usually their customers don't reach virality. So why to claim it?!

**Recommendations to others considering PRWeb:**

Avoid at all costs

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sharing corporate news

  ### 17. Jordan's Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jordan W. | Media Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2021

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

The largest database of reporter contacts and most up-to-date

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

Selecting contacts in a search can sometimes be painstaking when manually scrolling through and selecting/de-selecting.

**Recommendations to others considering PRWeb:**

Best database for reporter contacts in the industry

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding the exact email and contact information for reporters to reach with press sends.

  ### 18. PRWeb has been a good value and has led to many news placements

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bradley W. | Marketing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2019

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

Signing up and getting started with PRWeb is a generally easy process. I like that we can target our audience to help get our news in front of people that may actually be interested in publishing it. I think that the pricing isn't bad since it would cost us much more to distribute our news through more manual methods. We would have to take a long time compiling relevant contact information and using a platform that can move emails and host press releases without threat of SPAM violations. PRWeb gives us a way to bypass all of that.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

Some of our press release distributions can definitely result in mostly duds. This sweeping approach to news releases can be somewhat cold and less engaging to media personnel. We have to compete with lots of news that gets run through PRWeb on a regular basis. Making our news stand out can be tough.

**Recommendations to others considering PRWeb:**

I believe that PRWeb can be good method for news distribution, but you should pay extra attention to configuring your news blast to reach the proper types of media and audiences. You should research as much as possible so you can make the most of your blasts without having to depend on costly trial and error.

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PRWeb has provided us with an outlet to send out our company news without having to do much research on the latest media members' contact information. In many cases, we aren't even sure who the correct contacts are at any given media outlet. PRWeb has done a great job of at least making our news accessible for those that may be interested in viewing it.

  ### 19. A press release distribution method that works

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt W. | Account Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2019

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

Getting our news out is very simple through the PRWeb platform. Even though we have to pay hefty fees at times, PRWeb a great way to get our news reliably posted online and in the front of people at solid news organizations. I like not having to upload files to be hosted on our servers. The process of getting our press releases uploaded and published through PRWeb is not that difficult. They have clear information for the entire process so that things are done properly. I like that we can also target to audiences that I have some type of connection to our news.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

I think that the website design of PRWeb has a somewhat older feel to it. I think the pricing is also quite high considering all of the free and lower cost distribution methods that are available today. I think that PRWeb can do a better job of penetrating social media, which is a very important news space in the modern world.

**Recommendations to others considering PRWeb:**

I think PRWeb is a great way to get your news out when you don't have lots of contacts in the targeted audiences that you are looking to distribute your news releases. You should be careful to select a few good keywords rather than trying to stuff a bunch of keywords that are too broad.

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PRWeb has mostly been a reliable way for us to get our news out into the public domain to news outlets that we don't have direct contact with. We can get our news circulated to lots of people that might not have us on their radar. I like that we can tailor our news releases for certain audiences and attach keywords that allow our news to be more easily found.

  ### 20. A fast way to get our news out into the stratosphere of media outlets

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin K. | Public Relations Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2019

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

PRWeb has an established network of media outlets for us to distribute to. We don't have to rely on our own distribution through email and traditional mail services. We can actually get a feeler for the amount of interest in our news and then follow up with calls or emails based on the results of the hits we get through PR. PRWeb also has excellent tracking tools to let us get an idea of how our news has been received. The metrics are actually quite detailed for the amount of money that we pay.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

PRWeb can often times be a hit-or-miss type of news release distribution service. For certain types of news, PRWeb may not be the most efficient service, especially if it's for a very niche type of audience with few media outlets that cover related topics.

**Recommendations to others considering PRWeb:**

If you're starting out without many news contacts, PRWeb might be an excellent way for you to get your news out in the world and enhance the accessible to it by search engines like Google and Yahoo.

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Instead of just blasting out our news to random media outlets and people, we have used PRWeb's targeting capabilities to narrow down our demographics. This audience filter allow us to be able to focus more on people that may be more interested in receiving and covering our news. Having this information can also help us to craft our future releases. Compared to not using PRWeb, we have gotten way more hits and leads from our distributions through PRWeb.

  ### 21. A news distribution outlet that is a good value for most of our releases

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brent F. | Communications Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2019

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

Using PRWeb is rather easy and we can get in touch with a sales or support person without much difficulty. I've used PRWeb for some time now and like how they continue to expand the types of media outlets that they reach. The world of news distribution and content publishing is always changing and growing, so it's nice to be able to look to a service like PRWeb to get our important company news out to the media and other sources that can display our news for the most interested and relevant parties.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

With all of the do-it-yourself news distribution methods today like publishing on Twitter, blogs and through mass emails, it can be rough to shell out the money needed to get some of the releases out through PRWeb. I would say that it can certainly be a good value, especially when there is important news that needs to go out, but the cost is also more on the higher side.

**Recommendations to others considering PRWeb:**

For companies that have a decent corporate communications budget to draw from, I think it's a no-brainer to at least consider PRWeb as a news distribution medium. Much of the mainstream media seems to be connected in some way to PRWeb, so you'll be able to hit many outlets without having to spend much time setting things up.

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My company has been able to get news out quickly and to relevant sources for efficiently with PRWeb. We have benefited from PRWeb's custom targeting tools that allows us to reach people that we actually want to reach rather than just dumping our news out there. At the same time, there are times when we like to get certain news out to a more general audience, so PRWeb's large reach allows us to do that, which can sometimes gives us attention from media corners we didn't consider would have interest.

  ### 22. PRWeb can get our news out to the right people in little time

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sharon M. | Public Relations Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2019

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

Getting started with PRWeb doesn't require us to go through many steps, like having to do a consultation, then talk with some representative over the phone for a while. I've had to do that with some other companies and not having to jump through hoops is one of the reasons I started using PRWeb. I also like that PRWeb has been a big name in the public relations news distribution world for as long as I can remember. They have many contacts in both the old and new media. I like being able to specify certain audiences and have our distributions be more targeted.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

Though I don't think the prices are that bad for the service and distribution reach that we get, it certainly isn't the cheapest distribution method. It also lacks a personal touch that we can get with more hands-on distribution methods. This wide net approach isn't really something we can always depends upon for actual news hits. It's mostly a complementary approach that will sometimes net little to no quality results.

**Recommendations to others considering PRWeb:**

I think PRWeb can work sometimes, but it can also not net much at other times. I think it's worth the risk to try out when there have been little to no media outreach efforts for certain companies, products, services, promotions or events.

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have gotten a decent amount of quality news hits from PRWeb. We probably could not have made those connections without PRWeb. Though the pricing can seem excessive at times, we are able to utilize many PRWeb services without hurting our budget significantly. PRWeb also provides us with helpful account features to give us a better idea of how our campaigns and releases and being received by news outlets and social media.

  ### 23. PRWeb gives my company the ability to craft a compelling story and reach target audiences.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tory R. | Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2019

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

I think that PRWeb is so easy to use and that it pinpoints and influences our target audiences to digest my clients’ news releases. PRWeb allows clients’ news to be delivered to thousands of websites and relevant reporters and journalists, as well as a variety of social media networks.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

I dislike that sometimes I don’t believe my clients receive adequate coverage across their desired news outlets. I believe PRWeb allows their news to be syndicated but I am not always sure it’s reaching the specified outlets that they’d like.

**Recommendations to others considering PRWeb:**

PRWeb is very easy to use and I recommended you take advantage of their customer support team since they assisted me in choosing the relevant lists for news releases.

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With PRWeb, my company is solving the common goal and objective of several of our clients and that is of brand awareness. We’ve seen significant improvements in lead generation and traffic to their website.

  ### 24. The best PR Distribution software/organization on the market

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Broadcast Media | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2019

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

It is a convenient system that offers just enough complexity with things like Search engine Optimization, and targets high-level and important media outlets like ABC, Fox, etc. It is MUCH better and more reliable than the other press-release distribution sites out there. Also great customer service!

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

The price is a bit steep for smaller companies, but still gets the job done so well that it becomes worth it.

**Recommendations to others considering PRWeb:**

Its a super useful technologies and sends the latest news and press releases out to everyone they need to go to for a price that is much more reasonable than other companies. I'd highly recommend you use it.

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sending out press releases used to be a complex manner that involved typing out or copy and pasting a large, long list of emails, but now it is simplified, web-optimized, and sent to important destinations. It also solved the problem of searching for a trustworthy press-release distribution service. When you search google, 1000s may come up, but this one is the most trustworthy and was worth the search.

  ### 25. A news distribution resource we can generally count on to reach people

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zachary W. | Sales and Marketing Associate, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 12, 2019

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

It's fairly simple to get our press releases uploaded and distributed. There are many option for us when it comes to targeting news outlets. I like that we can send our releases to traditional corporate media and also blogs and other new media outlets. We can also get our news in front of social media outlets, which gives it a chance at being picked up throughout popular platforms like Twitter. Even though the amount of outlets that pick up our news is always uncertain, it's great to know that our news will be published and accessible on the PRWeb website.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

The high prices are definitely not something I like. Though it can be valuable for us to distribute our news this way, the return on investment isn't always there since our news often does not significantly get picked. I feel that though PRWeb does have a good reach and can be a dependable way to at least make your news available for those that are searching for it, I don't PRWeb really does much except blast our news out in an automated way without really pushing it meaningfully.

**Recommendations to others considering PRWeb:**

PRWeb has been a traditional new distribution service and can be trusted to put your news out there for the media sources your interested in. However, you should understand that there is a ton of news circulating every second, on PRWeb and elsewhere, so you can't depend too much on PRWeb by itself to generate interest in your story.

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When we need to put news out, PRWeb gives us a platform that can put it in front of many professional media eyeballs to be picked up. Even if it doesn't get picked up, we like to have our news available to access. Putting our news out on PRWeb also helps us to gauge organic interest in the news. If it is naturally interested to some parties, then we feel PRWeb is a reliable place for our news to be found. If there is little interest in our news, then we at least know where it stands and we can push or restrain other promotional campaigns accordingly.

  ### 26. Reliable, Versatile Press Release Distribution

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danielle S. | Account Executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2019

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

Sometimes too many options is an issue, but PR Newswire does it right. They have just enough distribution options, and just enough variations of those options to find the right fit for clients and the type of announcement.

More specifically, the PR Web web-only distribution option is an excellent way to get an announcement out and leave a digital bread crumb for clients without breaking the bank.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

Many of PR Newswire’s options can get expensive quickly, which might be fine for larger clients, but not ideal if you’re working with start-ups. It’s important to be aware of this and ensure you’re in-tune to the client’s needs.

**Recommendations to others considering PRWeb:**

Definitely research all options to ensure it’s the right product for you and your clients

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

While the “traditional” press release is sometimes classified as obsolete, it is essential in this internet age to leave a digital bread crumb (in the form of a press release) whenever a company has a funding round, notable partnership, etc., to build media presence over time.

  ### 27. PR Web a good value for the money

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt D. | Account Executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2019

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

PR Web releases are a quick affordable way to get press out to a wide selection of media websites.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

The interface is a bit clunky. The categories for press distribution are limited.

**Recommendations to others considering PRWeb:**

If you need a cheap option for an SEO release, this is a good company to use. It may take you a bit to figure out distribution and categories, but overall it does a good job. Plus you get a nice report after the blast to share with clients and use for tracking purposes.

There are other options that offer greater distribution but the cost is substantially more and rarely worth it in my opinion.

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are getting more SEO value for our clients by getting their news onto trusted websites nationally.

  ### 28. Great Program!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2019

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

It is so easy to access people's contact information. There are also so many different things, such as location, name, genre, etc, you can search using.to make it more efficient.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

You have to click the back button all the time if you want to go back to what you were looking at previously. I wish it would show where you click in different windows, all visible at the same time. There are so many things you have to click to get a person's information.

**Recommendations to others considering PRWeb:**

You can seach using many options, such as name, genre, title, location, market, etc.

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has helped me find contact information for people I want to reach out to regarding media opportunities. Without Cision, I would be unable to get their contact information.

  ### 29. A reliable platform for getting your company news launched

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ian W. | Account Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2019

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

PRWeb has a wide reach that greatly broadens our potential viewership. We are assured that our news will at least be available for viewing by many media outlets that matter to us. The process of uploading, distributing and tracking results is relatively quick and streamlined within the PRWeb system. We can receive data on where our news release is being published and get a solid figure on clicks and views. PRWeb also covers bloggers, social media and other newer media outlets.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

The price for one release is rather high compared to putting out social media posts or sending out emails. Though PRWeb has evolved to a degree to account for the media in the modern internet age, the overall system still seems somewhat lacking in terms of distribution reach and detailed analytics.

**Recommendations to others considering PRWeb:**

Though PRWeb has been around a while, it can still be a solid medium for distributing your news so that there's a good chance it can be found. You can at least know where your news organically stands and then adjust your further media push accordingly.

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use PRWeb to release our news on a platform that is commonly viewed by distinguished media outlets. Even if our news doesn't get picked up right away, we like to have our bases covered in case someone comes to search for it. At times, PRWeb has been great kick start to our media promotion efforts. We can add keywords and optimize our release so there's a higher chance it will be found by relevant media parties.

  ### 30. Captures Media Mentions Well

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dan F. | Social Media Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2019

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

This was a robust tool that allowed me to view the media mention and understand some data about how and where it was viewed.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

At the time (2009-10), the reports were limited. I would like to assume that the reporting features have improved.

**Recommendations to others considering PRWeb:**

Get it. The investment might be steep but the convenience of having a software gather your mentions saves so much time and stress!!! I've done this manually (daily) and it took a minimum of 1 hour and a maximum of 3 hours daily to complete. Many businesses don't have that type of time to commit to report media. Trust me, the task itself is tremendously time consuming! PRWeb saves that time and sanity.

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PRWeb allowed me to see where my company had been mentioned on TV, newspaper (print and digital) and radio.

  ### 31. PR Web - It Works.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jill B. | Principal, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2019

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

It is very easy to set up an account and use it. They purposely make it this way to encourage new business.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

Some of the media coverage you get it “buried” - and I don’t think the country’s top reporters use it for story leads much.

**Recommendations to others considering PRWeb:**

It will work for you, if you post a decent press release. But don’t expect the NYT or Forbes to contact you (but you never know).

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have gotten coverage for my clients and their stories.

  ### 32. Great price point, easy-to-use, happy with media delivery

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jess L. | Field Marketing Manager, Digital Mortgage, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2019

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

Compared to PR Newswire, PR Web provides far more bang for your buck -- higher word count, ability to include image/video without an additional fee, etc.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

The way the images render on LinkedIn can be a bit wonky.

**Recommendations to others considering PRWeb:**

Platform works well and is priced well. Definitely worth checking out over PR Newswire

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Increased media deliveries. Analytics/reporting is great, too.

  ### 33. Easy to Us

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristen M. | Account Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2019

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

It's easy to upload and submit articles for review.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

I disliked that I had to go through an intensive approval process in order to simply use it.

**Recommendations to others considering PRWeb:**

Make sure you start the approval process ahead of time.

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is the quickest and best solution for a PR launch in my opinion.

  ### 34. Review of PRWeb

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elise W. | Customer Representative, Retail, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2018

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

I love how streamline functionality is. Everything I need is always at my finger tips and aligned neatly so that I can find it.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

How long it takes to sort through all of the various options and modes. Sometimes I wish that it could predict my thoughts and take me immediately to where I need to be using predictability.

**Recommendations to others considering PRWeb:**

Representatives are really good about getting back to you for help and feedback with the product, so I would say continue to give feedback and see if this product keeps improving.

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We just do not have enough representation among certain age groups and categories so we wanted to use PRWeb to access folks who we wouldn't normally reach. I've realized that it is beneficial in terms of sparking ideas for how to reach people that I haven't yet thought of.

  ### 35. Solid Press Release Program

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2019

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

I feel like we always get legitimate results in terms of pickups and getting our content shared.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

The user interface is stiff and can be a little rigid at times

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting our content our there and published is great. Even if all the links are no follow.

  ### 36. Works great for our small PR agency with a broad client base!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amanda D. | Nursing Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2018

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

Cision enables us to tailor the product to suit our needs. We can cast a large net if we want to, or narrow it down to something so specific, it almost seems hand-picked. It's been a great tool for us as a small agency with a broad spectrum of client sectors. The interface is easy to use, so you can jump from one client to the next with no issues.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

Cision is great! There are a few minor details that I personally would change, but nothing that hinders the functionality of the product. The interface is easy to use and any issues we had were quickly solved with customer support.

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Cision, we're able to reach a multitude of audiences - groups that can be easily manipulated to suit our needs which may change from day to day. In such a fast-paced line of work, it's imperative that we're able to dive right in and get what we need - Cision has enabled us to work more efficiently and to the benefit of our clients.

  ### 37. Easy and convenient!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Siddhant S. | Venture Capital Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2019

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

I like the ease of use, the relatively cheap pricing and the great customer service.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

I dislike the pricing model in that it requires you to add numerous options that I would want included in the base price for the sake of simplicity (even if that means a higher base price).

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use PRWeb to get press releases out about some of the companies we work with and what they're doing. It helps us with outreach and releasing information.

  ### 38. PR Web - Press Release platform

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2019

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

It's simple and easy to use. Quick turnaround for posting releases (about 3 hours before approval) and the price is reasonable. Quick pickup from other sites

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

The webpage when you view your release on the PRWeb site is a little dull in terms of color scheme

**Recommendations to others considering PRWeb:**

Start off with PRWeb before considering PR Newswire.

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes getting product/version update announcements out there easier.

  ### 39. PRWeb for media!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2019

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

Very easy system to use via CISION, you can tailor make your own lists or utilize database to send out. Definitely helps when wanting to distribute a targeted release.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

Nothing really...though I'd say PRWeb's reach isn't as widespread as PRNEWSWIRE. But it's not bad.

**Recommendations to others considering PRWeb:**

Good system for distributing your clients' news to select media.

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I do media relations, so it is a very effective tool in helping me put forth my clients' brand, important news, and raise their profile.

  ### 40. PR Professional Using Cision

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2019

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

The ability to curate and refine your searches.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

How precise it requires your search terms to be.

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s helpful when compiling targeted media lists of contacts from certain mediums, industries, locations, etc.

  ### 41. Number looks fancy but actually....

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 05, 2019

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

One post share and it is spread throughout different media outlets and the report that the system generates is pretty easy to access and reference for report.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

The number for impression looks fancy, but I feel like a lot of the time the article is shared on a media outlet that's hard for the user to find the articles on the website

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use the platform to publish press release for our client. A useful tool just one click and it is shared on different media outlets.

  ### 42. Good Service. Solid Product

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Margaret J. | Chicago, Internet, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2019

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

I have been using PRWeb for quite some time.I think they provide the best ROI. I leverage my distribution list and their ability to get good SEO to max my exposure.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

Their user interface is third-world. They don't have spell check or auto-save, can't upload a video if it isn't on YouTube.

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PRWeb is an excellent service. Used it in a marketing/PR fashion and was pleasantly satisfied with my results. Multiple pick ups from large media outlets and exposure. Website traffic rose and our overall presence in the market rose immensely.

  ### 43. Powerful tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** William D. | Delaware, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2019

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

PRWeb allows small businesses on a budget to get their news out widely and support other efforts to achieve earned media coverage. It’s a cost-effective alternative to similar services. It’s easy to use and allows you to include an image. It helps your press release appear in search engines (helps SEO).

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

There is nothing I dislike. The service is simply perfect

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The press release distribution experience is simple and intuitive. Representatives are easy to get a hold of and respond in a timely manner and a great at catching copy errors.

  ### 44. Great Tool for both big/small PR firms and both new/experienced associates

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2018

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

The best thing about Cision from a PR Associate's perspective is the detailed profile on journalists and media contacts - for example, Cision has saved me on multiple occasions by stating contacts' preferred method of contact and pitching (i.e., some journalists only will receive pitches by email, phone, etc). This has been a lifesaver! It's a very intuitive platform - easy to learn and use.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

The only complaint I have is that Cision doesn't allow for multiple users to be under one account - so if I and a coworker were attempting to use Cision simultaneously, one would be booted out of the system.

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cision has been an excellent tool for most of my day-to-day responsibilities. For example, my duties are heavily-researched based and require a lot of compiling PR and media lists. Being able to quickly filter contacts by location and subject matter has been hugely efficient. Additionally, the ability to create campaigns and content specific to my projects was helpful.

  ### 45. Fast, Easy, Good Results

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel C. | freelance writer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2019

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

Very easy to use in terms of distribution of media.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

"Alot of layers" to get through in sending out the info, though not challenging.

**Recommendations to others considering PRWeb:**

Great tool if you're looking to improve a client's SEO.

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Promotion! Definitely helps get our clients noticed.

  ### 46. A press release tool that gets the job done

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 30, 2018

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

PRWeb is incredibly easy to use—a simple text editor and clear options for release. In addition, their customer service has been phenomenal whenever we've needed to make a last minute change to a release.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

Previewing press releases is less than ideal. When changes are required, it requires many steps to return to editing and then progress back to previewing. This interface could be significantly streamlined and is a time-waster.

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We want to get our press releases out into the world and PRWeb makes that happen—consistently and with excellence.

  ### 47. Marketing Manager

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2019

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

I like how PRWeb focuses on the social media aspect of getting the word out about things

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

Something about PRWeb that I do not like is that it is a lot different from other things and is harder to navigate

**Recommendations to others considering PRWeb:**

Continue to attempt to figure out the website and it will become easier over time

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have helped with all of my social media and media engagement

  ### 48. Helpful Solution in PR Agency Toolkit

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2019

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

As a release distribution tool, PRWeb also offers strong integration with social media through automation. Broad network of contacts and good segmentation options for niche industries.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

While PRWeb is more cost-effective than many of the traditional wires, it's still a pretty decent investment for the more advanced distribution packages.

**Recommendations to others considering PRWeb:**

Cision's PR web is a significant investment and may be more cost-effective when purchased as an entire agency. For most freelancers or independent contractors, it's not a reasonable solution.

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PRWeb gets your company or client's news releases out widely - and fast, resulting in better SEO and more website traffic, in addition to increased visibility from writers and media.

  ### 49. Easy to Use Press Release Distribution Software

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abby M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2018

**What do you like best about PRWeb?**

The website used to input your press release text is easy to understand and navigate. Also their editorial team checks to make sure your press release hits certain parameters to give the best results for both PRWeb and your organization. I also like the report they give you about your press release distribution - very helpful information.

**What do you dislike about PRWeb?**

You have to schedule your press release 4 hours out (to give the editorial team enough time to review your press release).

**What problems is PRWeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PRWeb helps get our organization's name out there. It also helps me make better use of my time because I can work on the press release and save it if I need to come back to it later, or schedule it for sending in the future.
