It truly is the best program to use. It is very user-friendly and intuitive. The interface is simple, with menus at the top of the page to navigate and find different settings for the style of writing you are doing, and if you are an author it offers in house style or a specific publisher style. Or you can choose an overall report to tell you all the ways your work can be improved. It is not just a fancy spell check program and if you are like me and have not memorized every single English rule, then this program is for you. A real time saver if you are an editor as well. If you are an author like me, as you type you are already editing and there is no need to worry about hiring an editor, or proofreaders. As you work, you are able to easily find errors since the program will let you know if there are any inconsistencies, or if the story isn't transiting well, or even the level of education the reader must have to comprehend the story. It includes checks such as sticky, echoes, repeats, overused, length, style, summary, readability, cliches, diction, pronoun, core and so much more on the website editing page, and there is also a thesaurus to refer to if you can't think of a word or you want to use a less common word. What problems is ProWritingAid solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have not had any problems that have been solved by using this app, yet my writing skills have improved tremendously. It not only helps with misspellings, but it also corrects uses of punctuation, excessive usage of adverbs, and so much more. You can get a report of your entire body of work directly on the site, and it is amazing. One time while using, I became so absorbed in writing that my laptop died. I was so upset as I lost all my work, but since I had been working on the site directly, I was so happy that when I logged back in, I saw that nothing had been lost! This saved me from starting from scratch and losing all the precious ideas and work that I had just poured into the book I am writing and that alone makes this priceless. I have been able to send professional emails with no errors, as well as facebook posts and reviews on Amazon without errors or improper usage of grammar. I see it also has been having an effect on the way I speak! It truly has helped me in so many ways.
