"Nice tool"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Provar?

Provar is a very nice tool for testers who are migrating from functional testing to Automation. The tool has excellent documentation and is very user-friendly once the setup has been made. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Provar?

Initialization time and sometimes not responding Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Alexander Sherwood of Provar

Thanks very much for your review! We love the feedback - the good and the less good - because it really helps us a) know what we're doing right, and more importantly b) where we need to improve. If your initialization time is something that happens other than when you are creating a new test in a new org (i.e. you haven't built a test with those pages/layouts/elements before), then connect with Provar Support to get help troubleshooting. And...reach out to support for help with the responsiveness issue.

"Automation with ease"
5/5
What do you like best about Provar?

Reusable scripts and the automation at its best to help you go beyond the scripting plans. We use Provar for Salesforce testing automation but have plans to enhance it for robotics responses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Provar?

bit of tedious debugging and need technical expertise for the XML updates or XPATH updates Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Alexander Sherwood of Provar

Thanks very much for your review! 'Automation with ease' is exactly what Provar are shooting for, so it's gratifying to hear that we are hitting the mark. If you're still having trouble with XML and XPATH updates, Provar Support is the best place to get started. Just in case you're brand new to using xpath - here's a course recommended to me (a total newbie) to get up to speed - https://www.w3schools.com/xml/xpath_intro.asp. Please do check back in when you start expanding your tests for robotic responses - that sounds really interesting!

"Powerful and efficient test automation tool for Salesforce."
5/5
What do you like best about Provar?

Provar's ability to interact with Salesforce's changing UI is a definite plus.

You can go back and modify the code and replay the step without starting over.

This has saved me a lot of hours of restarting tests.

A nice IDE to have everything available at my disposal.

Also, their support is top-notch. They are available to help me out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Provar?

The IDE is sometimes a bit slow to load. I have accidentally modified an incorrect test because it did not refresh quickly. Good thing there's Undo button.

I hope they can support non-web-based apps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Alexander Sherwood of Provar

Thanks very much for your detailed review of Provar! It's clear from your comments that you're getting a lot of value and your test cases (UI end to end testing) cover a lot of ground. 'Provar's ability to interact with Salesforce's changing UI' is a fantastic 1st line - thanks very much for that :-) - and is a fundamental part of what makes Provar great. Salesforce UI changes (either minor updates or the 3 annual releases) typically don't break Provar tests. Big improvement over more traditional tools. Same thing for the runtime debugging and moving forward and back in the test - great to see that all that design work is benefitting real world users. If you're still seeing a slow metadata refresh rate, please reach out to the support team. As you pointed out, they are top notch. Given our focus on Salesforce and the surrounding ecosystem, Provar doesn't have plans at the moment to support non web-based applications. That said, we would be very interested to hear about your requirements. If you get a chance, let's connect via email (address below).

"Most efficient tool for Salesforce testing."
5/5
What do you like best about Provar?

I have been using Provar for testing Salesforce applications at iCare. It has helped me a lot in saving time in test execution and maintenance of test scripts. The best part is there is very minimal coding needed to use this tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Provar?

Enhance the capabilities to handle other Non-Salesforce apps so it can become a complete test automation tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Alexander Sherwood of Provar

Hi Shashiant,

Thanks for your review! Thrilled to hear that you're saving time in maintenance and test execution using Provar. Our no-code/low-code intuitive test building solution is a big part of what's making customers who are moving from manual, or sometimes no testing, to test automation for Salesforce. Are you looking for additional web applications already part of the eco system, non-web applications, or something else? Provar does enable end-to-end testing for a process flow crossing multiple applications - including being able to open multiple browsers on different applications, all in the same test. We're constantly looking for ways to improve Provar, so your feedback about support for non-Salesforce apps are much appreciated. If you get a chance, please let us know what applications are most important to your business.

"Provar is one of the most dynamic tool for automating Salesforce"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Provar?

The dynamic nature of tool and its meta data library which keeps on updating itself with each Salesforce release. User is able to find most of the objects without having to add separately Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Provar?

1. Provar application UI can be more interesting and catchy. Its a bit cumbersome to find many things within the tool

2. CI/CD should be automatically integrated with the tool without having to install separately Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Alexander Sherwood of Provar

Hello Mohd and thanks very much for your review! Your comments really hit the highlights on why Provar is special. Our intelligent use of metadata and timing Provar compatibility releases to match sandbox previews for Salesforce's Spring, Summer and Winter releases are a big part of what makes Provar tests unbreakable - meaning much more reliable than tests built with traditional web application testing tools. It's also why we're able to deliver a much more intuitive testing experience - so you can find objects without having to add them separately. Thanks also for your feedback on the UI and on the request for automatic integration with CI/CD tools. The good news is we're working on both! If you would be willing to share your ideas about where the UI could be improved and which CI/CD tools you're using, we would love to hear them. You can reach me at the email address below. Best of luck for your continued success with Provar!

I use Provar for SF Automation, which our things easier and it is specifically buit for salesforece, wher epeople who don't have coding knowledge can also work with provar, easy to learn and main it for longer run Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Provar?

Provar Documentation are not so good, they should make that clear also you can't do more customization. The main drawback is we can't pass the web elements from the Testcase. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Alexander Sherwood of Provar

Hi Arun,

Thanks for your review! Great to hear that seeing a 60x improvement (hours to minutes) using Provar instead of coding your Salesforce test automation. That's a fantastic outcome. If you are still looking for ways to do more customization, definitely reach out to the Support team. Providing customers with quick customization solutions is a big part of what they do - and it's a great way to have your feedback filter up to the Product team. Best wishes for your continued success with Provar!

Picks up Lighting web components with customizable path locators which are interesting. SOQL, DB, Excel integrations are useful when multiple environments are involved in testing web apps.. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Provar?

Response from Alexander Sherwood of Provar

Thanks very much for your review! It looks like you're well on the way to being an advanced Provar user. Watch the Provar community (discourse.provartesting.com) for news about some very cool updates around LWC testing. If you haven't already, please do let the Provar Support team know which components you use most and they will connect with the product team. Great feedback re. video tutorials for integrations. What are the applications most important in your stack - CI/CD tools, test management (check out our new Test Manager product on the Salesforce AppExchange), or something else? Thanks again, and please keep the feedback coming!
