What do you dislike about Provar?

Little slower in loading the tests, elements. Performance can be slightly increased from user point of view. s Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Alexander Sherwood of Provar

Thanks very much for your review! It sounds like you're doing end-to-end test automation with applications and APIs outside of Salesforce. Great to hear and we want to see more! If you haven't already reached out to Support about the performance issues you're seeing, definitely start there. One easy thing to check is reloading org cache - are you refreshing everything or just the changes? Keep that feedback coming and best wishes for your continued success with Provar!

What do you dislike about Provar?

Sometimes the test cases would break when running Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Alexander Sherwood of Provar

Thank you for your review! Great to hear that you're taking advantage of Provar's no-code test automation. It's fantastically easy to learn and use - many users are productive after a very short ramp-up time. Definitely reach out to Provar Support if you are still having the occasional issue while running tests. Being able to validate each test step as it's added to a test case (clicking 'add and do'), means that errors running the test are typically rare, so you make be experiencing something unusual - which is where the support team can really save you some time. Glad to hear that Provar is saving time and reducing errors - those are two of the biggest gains teams moving from manual testing regularly see. Looking forward to hearing about what's next in your test automation journey!

"The appropriate tool to implement Automation testing of Salesforce CRM application"
4/5
What do you like best about Provar?

None or very less knowledge of coding is required to work with the Provar automation tool, Its is very easy to create scripts as it supports drag and drop or record functionality.

Also the scripts created doesn't need much maintenance which is a huge differentiator compared to other tool as Saleforce.com release updates every quarter and they change the X-paths or the page layout a lot, since Provar work on the metadata concept, the scripts easily adapts to the changes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Provar?

Not much, if there is one thing they that has to be the better support for mobile testing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Alexander Sherwood of Provar

Hi Naveen,

Thanks for your review of Provar. You've absolutely hit the nail on the head with your comment about Provar tests having low maintenance compared to other tools. We're very proud of our record of making Salesforce updates as simple as possible for our customers and believe our intelligent metadata driven approach is the best way to do Salesforce test automation.

Please do reach out to the support team to discuss your mobile testing requirements. Provar supports testing via a number of different remote web and mobile testing platforms such as Sauce Labs, Perfecto, and BrowserStack. And, please take a look at the documentation on Provar testing with Appium and AWS Device Farm.

Simplified scripts for usage .

capabilities to use dynamic data sets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Provar?

Inconsistent Behavior of existing scrips after Salesforce releases.

Need to create multiple complex functions to satisfy requirements/flows.

No sufficient capability to handle Calander functions Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Alexander Sherwood of Provar

Thanks very much for your review! It sounds like you're making a lot of progress with Provar and have identified some really important elements that make Provar a great Salesforce test automation solution - flexibility to run tests in multiple orgs can be a HUGE time saver from a creation and maintenance point of view (we call that polymorphic - using a test in multiple contexts) , and that Provar Support is a wonderful resource. If you're seeing issues with scripts after Salesforce releases, the support team is the very best place to start. Winter '22 will be here soon with the sandbox preview scheduled for 7 Jan https://www.salesforce.com/blog/key-dates-sandbox-preview/. Provar will have been working with Winter '22 as part of our compatibility release for Winter '22, so early January is a great time to connect and get a conversation started about potential issues. The same is true if you're still having trouble with calendar functions and complex functions for flow testing - only don't wait until January. :-)

Thanks very much for taking the time to provide feedback. While not every review can be 5 stars, it's equally helpful for us to get information on the areas where we can do better. We have been building additional educational resources (check out the latest at the University of Provar - https://www.provartesting.com/university-of-provar/), and we also want to work directly with any teams having challenges. The fastest path to resolving any specific issue is through Provar Support. The support team can look at the startup, test loading and scalability issues, and work with you to improve performance. "Best tool for Salesforce Automation"
5/5
What do you like best about Provar?

Tool Options are fabulous and views are easy accessible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Provar?

Metadata Reloading is taking time to load Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Hetty Boardman-Weston of Provar

Hi Sree, thank you for taking the time to review Provar! We are really pleased you have had a positive experience.

In terms of the metadata reload times, we appreciate these can be frustrating. When it comes to synchronizing the metadata from Salesforce we are often dependent on the speed of Salesforce's platform response. If it helps, the metadata can be synchronized and cached so you only have to download the changes since the last sync. You can also share metadata via your VCS so that each user does not have to manage their own sync with Salesforce. If you'd like to know more about either of these please reach out to our support team and we'd be happy to guide you through it.

Thank you again for your fantastic review!

- Easy detection of fields and web element Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Provar?

- Slow execution

- If Google Chrome is updated, it might take a while for Provar to be updated, which renders scripts unusable

- Very expensive Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Alexander Sherwood of Provar

Hello Benjamin and thanks very much for your review! Great to hear that you're finding Provar useful for detecting fields and web elements and driving your Salesforce test automation. Saving time building, executing and maintaining regression scenarios are typical outcomes for Provar users - we're glad you're seeing many of the same things. If 'after a release' means after a Salesforce release - we couldn't agree more. Provar spends a lot of time making sure we're compatible with each new Salesforce release, so your tests will continue to work as each new Salesforce release goes GA. Tell your new users to check out the University of Provar for help in getting started. They can learn the basics right away and add advanced skills as needed. Thanks also for your comments about execution and Chrome updates. If you are still seeing issues in either of these areas, please reach out to the Provar Support team. They are experts at all things Provar and are the fastest path to solving any specific problems you might be having. Hopefully you've found that the benefits delivered by Provar (time saving in executing regressions, easy detection and mapping, easy interaction with objects) have provided good value.

Best regards,

"Excellent Testing tool for salesforce"
5/5
What do you like best about Provar?

I like the fact you can carry out any tests needed on salesforce and see if a new change has broken other elements of the system. It is very powerful and any org that uses salesforce will be able to use this to make sure that custom development moving forward is the best it can possible be.

I like the factor you can test both classic and lighting with one test case, and it is easy to reach out to other services like outlook 365 Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Provar?

Has a steep learning curve but this the learning areas has made this much easier.

2FA is interesting as you need to white list IP's if you want to use in tunnel Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Alexander Sherwood of Provar

Hello Jonathan,

Thanks very much for your review! It sounds like you've managed the transition from manual testing and used Provar successfully to make sure your development efforts are deployed with the highest quality and least amount of disruption. Also great to hear that you've been able to set up two factor authentication - if you run into issues, the Provar support team is ready to help. Thanks also for noting the University of Provar (assuming that's what you meant by learning areas). If you have ideas for additional classes, we'd love to hear them.
