## Provar Reviews
  ### 1. Impressive dive into Salesforce test automation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Provar?**

Provar Ui has a simple and intuitive design to manage my documents and file structure.
I have never searched for a long time how to do something.
When I am facing a new situation, the documentation is quite clean and the support is pro and reactive.
A huge among of situations can be achieved without any line of code written by the user but It is also pretty simple to add java code and use it directly if needed.

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

Like other automation tools, a big concern is to well identify the web component we are using in our step. Some custom web elements are sometimes hard to select. Also time there is no other way than mention a translated label in path or XPath that make this component selection only available in the selected language. In any case, we can find a solution or workaround but this part can be improved.

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Provar manages connexion and environment in a clever way that leaves the test cases with less maintenance time.
Test Reports are sometimes hard to configure and use, with Provar test reports are fully working, great looking and customisable out of the box.
The metadata direct access and the way Provar provide the functionality to build test directly from this list is a big benefit of speed to have test case prerequisite ready and a nice way to clean data at the end of a test script.

**Official Response from Alexander Sherwood:**

> Thank you for your review! It's always nice to hear from a happy customer and someone who sounds like a long time user - especially if you're reading and getting benefit from the documentation. :-) We're very proud of our intelligent use of Salesforce metadata - it's a big part of what makes our solution uniquely easy to use and create very low maintenance tests. It sounds like you are successful testing custom web elements even it if is a bit more work than other Provar testing. Provar is always looking for ways to improve our product, so we would love to hear more about the specifics of your use case. You can reach out to your Customer Success person if you're interested. If you are still looking for ways to expand reporting capability, please take a look at Provar Manager (available on the AppExchange). It's relatively new, integrated with Provar Automation, and provides several built in reports and dashboards, all of which are very easy to customize.

**Official Response from Alexander Sherwood:**

Thanks for taking the time to write this review! It sounds like you've been using Provar for a while and are seeing lots of benefits - test reuse across multiple environments is a great example. 'Error handling and auto coding systems are too good' is a fantastic quote - the marketing team will love that. If you're still looking for ways to optimize Xpath - make sure you reach out to the Provar Support team. They are ProvarX experts!

  ### 4. awesome and wonderfull

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashok Ramana P. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Provar?**

breaking points and API integration etc,

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

Everything is fine and good there are no commnets

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Maintenance break other than the selenium.

  ### 5. Useful tool but also with some limitations

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Pharmaceuticals | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Provar?**

I like that the tool is intuitive once you know how to use it. In my concrete case, it is helping me a lot to find errors in the UI as a consequence of the non-regression tests. To create new cases it is really user-friendly; someone with not too much knowledge of the tool could be able to develop tests with no problem. For the tests execution is fantastic because the headless mode allows you to run the tests while you are working on other things.

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

What I dislike of the software is for example that I don't know when the version of the tool is updated because I don't receive any email or notification. This means that I have to face some errors in Provar to realise that something is wrong and normally is that the Provar version has been updated or the Salesforce release has been updated and it is not compatible with my Provar version. Also some of the random Provar fails are really tiresome but I have to say that with the latest versions the amount of this kind of errors has decreased a lot

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Is helping me to check if the new implementations on my software create new bugs on my application.

**Official Response from Alexander Sherwood:**

> Thanks for your review! I'm glad to hear that you're finding success with Provar, but sorry to hear about your lack of information about Provar releases. The good news is that situation is easy to fix. If you haven't already, please go to https://success.provartesting.com and create an account. That should add you to the email list for release notifications. If you would like to be extra sure, email me directly at alex@provartesting.com and ask to be added to the notification list. And...if you are still having trouble with random Provar fails, open a case with Provar Support (on the Customer Success portal). They should be able to get things sorted out for you.

Best regards,

  ### 6. Salesforce automation tool suitable for people with or without a programming background

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Provar?**

Provar is a powerful automation tool that supports email , external UI as well as Salesforce automation testing. For a non programmer, you can create simple tests by drag and drop from the Provar UI. More advanced users can add APEX code or javascript through Page Objects. Provar has many helpful features, including Match which uses regular expressions to extract data, Wait statements to reduce the number of sleep statements and easy support for testing across multiple Salesforce environments. When you have an issue or question, you can raise a Case to Provar who will arrange a convenient time to call.

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

"Set Values" is the only variable supported. Strings/Lists/Sets could also be supported.

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Salesforce has three releases a year, Provar provides releases supporting any changes/updates reducing the risk of testcase failure.

**Official Response from Alexander Sherwood:**

> Thanks very much for your review! It sounds like you've been using Provar successfully for a while - especially if you're extending your tests with APEX code and/or javascript. Thanks also for noting the Provar releases timed with the Salesforce Spring, Summer, Winter sandbox previews. Our engineering team works hard to make sure Provar tests are compatible from release to release to drive down maintenance overhead. Without knowing about your specific use case, it's hard to give you great advice about where to look for additional variable support. You might start by looking at the data driven testing sections in the documentation - look for "Add Parameter Value Source". If that doesn't work, raising a case to Provar is your best bet. Good luck!

Best regards,

  ### 7. Helped in saving efforts during migration of Classic to Lightning and also during Salesforce upgrade

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hemavathi E. | Associate Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Provar?**

Minimal maintenance required during upgrade or migration activities

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

Bit difficult to write validation for the test cases

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Provar helps us in performing Regression Testing for every release which saves considerable amount of efforts

**Official Response from Richard Clark:**

> Hi Hemavathi

Sorry to hear you had difficulty in writing validation for the test cases, we believe our Asset functionality is top notch so would you mind submitting a Case for what usability issues you faced so we can take this into account for our product roadmap please?

Thank you for your review and please keep providing feedback. Apologies for the delay in anyone responding to your important points.

Richard

  ### 8. Provar is the ultimate destination for anyone who wants to achieve 100 percent Salesforce automation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gaurav B. | Automation Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Provar?**

Minimal coding requires so even a person with no experience in coding can automate the scenarios
Maintaining test cases is easy since Provar works on storing Metadata; therefore, your test cases work on a different version of the application without much maintenance.
Excellent customer support

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

Some features need improvement; for instance, we don't have any option to validate if specific fields are not available on the page; for these kinds of requirements, we need to write our functions.

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time and energy used to maintain regression suites are not the cases with Provar, which gives us more time to increase our automation coverage.

**Official Response from Alexander Sherwood:**

> Hello Gaurav!
Thanks for your review and for that fantastic quote! 'Ultimate destination..for Salesforce automation' is exactly what we're all about. And, yes, our use of metadata to make Salesforce tests ultra-resilient (especially across Salesforce releases) is a big part of why customers stay with Provar. More detail about your specific test would help - but, have you tried the Assert Attributes feature in Test Builder? It will help you identify is a control (on the page) is visible, enable, read only or focused. And, if that doesn't help, your best bet is to go to the Provar Support team for help. Best of luck!

Best regards,

Alexander Sherwood | Director of Analyst Relations | alex@provartesting.com

  ### 9. The tool is easy to use and easy to grasp. It makes testing a fun and not so daunting task.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sharon L. | Tester, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Provar?**

I like how the tool is integrated with Salesforce, so it already knows what it is I am adding to my script. It knows what type of standard object or field I am testing.

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

Nothing yet, I am still in the honeymoon phase with the tool.

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Provar is assisting us to test and at the same type assists with our reporting. It also checks that whatever it is that is built is working the way it is supposed to work.

**Official Response from Alexander Sherwood:**

> Thanks for your review Sharon! It sounds like you're having plenty of early success - that's just what we had in mind. If things change after the honeymoon phase, make sure to reach out to the Provar Support team to get help with any issues you may encounter, or even just to ask about best practices, how to optimize your test executions, etc. Best wishes for your continued success!

Best regards,

  ### 10. GoTo Automation Tool for Salesforce Test

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** JUDHAJIT R. | Senior Automation Test Architect, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Provar?**

Provar is deemed fit for all Salesforce automation. Being coupled to the Salesforce metadata, for every org refresh, it is just a matter of a few minutes for the Test scripts to be updated. The IDE also has the facility to add custom code along with the massive repository of rich Salesforce function libraries. Be it automation of LWC, Dynamic Forms, or Internalisation testing (to name a few),nothing automates as efficiently as PROVAR.

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

Automation for Windows Based Application Like Enterprise applications and Mobile automation capability

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Faster Automation ROI with regards to agile automation in Salesforce engagements

**Official Response from Alexander Sherwood:**

> Hello Judhajit,

Thanks very much for your review of Provar! We're proud of the way Provar delivers rapid ROI for Salesforce test automation and thrilled hearing from customers like you who are using Provar to its fullest. We've got no plans at the moment to move away from web based applications, but stay tuned for news next year about updated mobile testing. We would love to hear about your use case for mobile, so please reach out to your Customer Success Manager and let us know what you need.

Best regards,

Alexander Sherwood | Director of Analyst Relations | alex@provartesting.com

  ### 11. Intuitive tool for automation testing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Miguel P. | Lead Salesforce Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2022

**What do you like best about Provar?**

It allows users with little experience to develop test cases from scratch. The tool has a lot of features to develop test cases as Salesforce Connections, UI asserts, etc.

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

For CI/CD pipelines sometimes we got different test results for the same environment and code. Just make it more robust

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Develop automated testing test in few time

**Official Response from Alexander Sherwood:**

> Hello Miguel,

Thank you for your review of Provar Automation! Great point about Provar enabling users with little testing experience - that's one of the key design elements for the product and one of the outcomes of designing specifically for test resilience (don't require maintenance with most Salesforce release related changes). Without knowing more about the specifics of your use case, the only guidance I can give about changing test results when executing as part of a CI/CD pipeline is: reach out to Provar Support. They'll be able to troubleshoot the issue with you and hopefully make sure you get consistent results in the future. Good luck!

Best regards,

Alexander Sherwood | Director of Analyst Relations | alex@provartesting.com

  ### 12. Its very good tool to Automate Salesforce Testcases

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Viswanatha M. | Salesforce QA Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Provar?**

Provar provides the Xpaths for WebElements which saves my time a lot.

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

Sometimes, Provar will not allow you to choose Page Objects which we created our own. This is not happening every time.

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing Xpaths which is benefiting everyone

**Official Response from Alexander Sherwood:**

> Hello Viswanatha,

Thanks very much for your review. Thrilled to hear that you're enjoying Provar, and that you're taking advantage of a very cool Provar feature (that we really don't promote enough!) - ProvarX - which is accessed in Test Builder and generates xpath syntax when mapping page elements (all with a single 'right click to add to test'). Unlike typical XPath - ProvarX will automatically access the Shadow DOM for you, making mapping much simpler. If you're still having occasional Page Object recognition, please reach out to Provar Support. Best of luck with your continued success with Provar!

Best regards,

Alexander Sherwood | Director of Product Marketing | alex@provartesting.com

  ### 13. Provar tool helped us in Automating our regression test cases.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rekha V. | Quality Automation Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Provar?**

1.	Provar tool helped us in Automating our regression test cases. We are running our regression test suite in UAT and Production environment every day, that’s helping us delivering the high quality software.
2.	This tool reduced the automation development effort to very minimal. Thus we are able to create and run the automation scripts in Provar very fast.

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

There are some salesforce components in Provar does not work. Sometimes it is not able to read the correct xpath in some cases. It would be very great, if all the salesforce componets are working very well while automating.

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Official Response from Alexander Sherwood:**

> Rekha - Thanks very much for your review. It's always gratifying to hear from customers who are Provar successes. Making it easy and quick to build Salesforce test automation is what we're all about - and especially with the outcome of helping customers improve their release quality every single day. Thanks also for any feedback around less than stellar support for individual Salesforce components. Users are our best source of information about what we need to fix, and the very best reason to react quickly to any issue. Provar Support is always available to help and they're a direct pipeline to the product team for more complicated problems. Keep that feedback coming and best wishes for your continued success with Provar.

Best regards,
Alexander Sherwood | Director of Product Marketing | alex@provartesting.com

  ### 14. PROVAR-The excellent tool for Salesforce Automation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nirmal K. | Automation Lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2022

**What do you like best about Provar?**

Provar has many best features like API, In-built ready-made features like Test palette and the best Provar supporting team.

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

In one of my past projects, I struggled to build the test cases for the Community portal which was built by visualforce page.

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Provar has readymade solutions for most of the scenarios for the AUT.

**Official Response from Alexander Sherwood:**

> Hi Nirmal,

Thanks very much for your review! Glad to hear that you are finding success with Provar Automation for Salesforce. We focus on making test automation with Provar a very intuitive 'out of the box' experience, so customers can get productive right away. If you are still having issues building test cases for the community portal, please reach out to the Provar Support team. They have a lot of experience building tests for Visualforce pages and should be able to help.

Best regards,

  ### 15. Best tool for testing your Salesforce app

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2022

**What do you like best about Provar?**

Ease of use and scenarios that are being supported to test your Salesforce app. It has so much functionality that it supports almost any test scenario you can imagine.

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

The interface could be a bit more flashy, but on the other hand that is not really disturbing. A bit more guiding in how to set up a test scenario (with a wizard or so) would be very helpful.

**Recommendations to others considering Provar:**

The best tool to test your Salesforce apps.

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are developing Salesforce Apps for the AppExchange for ourselves and for Salesforce partners/customers. We have to test every newly added functionality and have to perform regression tests for every new release, to make sure the apps keep working as supposed to.

**Official Response from Alexander Sherwood:**

> Wow! 'best tool to test your Salesforce apps' and 'supports almost any test scenario you can imagine' are an amazing start to a product review! Thanks very much! If you're building apps for your company and for partners and customers, the size of your regression tests must be growing a rapid rate - this is where Provar's ability to scale and our virtually unbreakable (read ultra low maintenance) tests begin to really pay dividends. Thanks for the feedback on the UI - we're in the process of working on a refresh, so any detailed feedback you can provide the Provar Support team would be gratefully received.

Best regards,
Alexander Sherwood | Director of Product Marketing | alex@provartesting.com

  ### 16. Provar user experience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Provar?**

Mostly I like the test automation scripting using the point-and-click functionality, as a user you don't have to be well versed in coding and scripting, Provar does the whole lot of heavy-lifting for you.

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

Nothing much to dislike, just wish the navigation menu and tools page layout could be all logically arranged in a bit bigger icons, I just feel like they are way too small but I understand it's due to trying to have them all fit in one page.

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps in saving time when designing test cases as it's simple and pretty quick to create one's test cases meaning one can get a lot of test case done quicker and fast.

**Official Response from Alexander Sherwood:**

> Thanks very much for your review! Point-and-click sounds simple, but as you point out, there's a lot of heavy lifting going on behind the scenes - and that's what makes Provar users so productive. Thanks also for your feedback on the Provar UI. We're constantly working to improve the entire user experience, and customer feedback is essential to make sure we're going in the right direction. If you haven't already, please open a case in the Provar Customer Success portal with your suggestions.

Best regards,

Alexander Sherwood | Director of Analyst Relations | alex@provartesting.com

  ### 17. Best way to start testautomation for Salesforce!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Parveesh S. | Software Tester, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Provar?**

Testbuilder, Provar takes into account the Salesforce releases, easy to add several testusers, reportfunction

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

sometimes the testbuilder is not working properly and you need to start the test alover again.

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Provar also people with less technical knowlegde can start testautomation.

**Official Response from Alexander Sherwood:**

> Hello Parveesh and thanks very much for your review! As a non-coder doing Salesforce testing, I couldn't agree more with your comment about Provar enabling folks with less technical testing knowledge to be Salesforce testers. Provar spent a lot of time and engineering to make our product the easiest to use, most intuitive Salesforce test automation solution available. If you're still struggling with Test Builder (it would be interesting to hear about what you are testing - custom app, non-Salesforce app, or something else?), definitely reach out to the Provar Support team. They should be able to work through the issue and get you back to top productivity. Best of luck!

Best regards,

Alexander Sherwood | Director of Analyst Relations | alex@provartesting.com

  ### 18. Best test automation framework for SFDC.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ajay S. | Sr. Enterprise Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Provar?**

Anybody without coding knowledge can use this tool very well.
Easy to customize your scripts.
Market time is high as this help enables progressive automation or Automation first approach

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

Parallel execution depends on the number of procured licenses and the number of nodes tied to the licenses.
Execution speed is not great as every time the entire org level metadata has to be loaded, which is time-consuming.

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SFDC Testing automation, regression, parallel testing, progressive automation.

**Official Response from Alexander Sherwood:**

> Thanks very much Ajay for your review! It sounds like you're getting a lot out of Provar and if you're running parallel executions, you're looking at a lot of tests and likely some pretty sophisticated scenarios. Some things you might consider for speeding up your execution: 1) reach out to Provar Support for a review of your tests and test plans - they maybe be able to help you optimize some of the flows and some of the tests. 2) You've probably already tried this, but just in case, when you reload metadata, try loading only the changes to see if that helps. (It's an option that can be set in the Provar Org Browser.)

Best regards,

Alexander Sherwood | Director of Analyst Relations | alex@provartesting.com

  ### 19. Great Provar support team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shahajan A. | Test Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Provar?**

Amazing tool and the support teams have been brilliant in the way they've dealt with our queries and issues.

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

Nothing to dislike. So far we have had a satisfactory service.

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping us automate manual regression testing which is saving us time and effort.

**Official Response from Alexander Sherwood:**

> Hello Shahajan,

Thanks very much for your review! It's always nice to hear that we've successfully transitioned a team from manual regression to automated testing and that Provar Support is doing it's typical amazing job keeping customers happy. I'm looking forward to hearing more about your journey - CI/CD integration, test management and reporting (have you tried out Provar Manager? It's available on the Salesforce AppExchange), and much more.

Best regards,

Alexander Sherwood | Director of Analyst Relations | alex@provartesting.com

  ### 20. I had a good experience with Provar.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Provar?**

Drag and drop functionalities and easy-to-understand controls/methods with visible descriptions. Bamboo, SauceLabs, Salesforce. I'm not sure how it compares to others.

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

Very laggy and slowly loading interface. I'm not sure if there's anything that doesn't work properly. The interface could be have a quicker pace when using it.

**Recommendations to others considering Provar:**

N/A

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accessing locally stored files via SauceLabs. Yes, we are benefiting financially with Provar. I am productive with Porvar. Yes, our business performance has increased.

**Official Response from Alexander Sherwood:**

> Thanks very much for your review! Great to hear that you're finding Provar easy to use - drag and drop, clicks to create tests - all part of our design to make the most intuitive test automation tool available. It would help to know if the lag you're seeing in loading is something that is an ongoing issue, or if it is happening when you are first creating tests in an org (and even if this is a Salesforce testing issue, or other apps as well). For brand new tests in an org, you may see a slight delay as Provar collects metadata relevant to the page/element you are testing. Once that metadata is cached, the lag should disappear. If you're still seeing an issue, be sure to go to the Provar Success portal (https://success.provartesting.com) and open a case. The Provar Support team is amazingly good and quickly resolving issues.

  ### 21. Great but could be better

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zoltan K. | SDET @GlobalFund, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Provar?**

Xpath copy , page objects, callable tests, connections

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

Chromedriver is not closing if test fails or I kill the test builder, also if open a page object from the editor the navigator focuses on it, also many times In test builder mode it can't find my page object , it is not on the dropdown list so I stopped using it

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Email testing and salesforce general testing

**Official Response from Alexander Sherwood:**

> Hello Zoltan,

Thanks very much for your review! Since you're already using XPath, page objects and callable tests, it sounds like you're a veteran Provar user. Thanks for your commitment! I always recommend to customers that they reach out to Provar Support for any issues they are facing (large or small), because that's typically the fastest way to a solution. Test Builder has a built in 'clean up' mode so that if you click on the stop button in Test Builder or if you press the play button after the test has concluded, it will close Test Builder and the browser. Without more detail, it's hard to give you relevant advice about what to do - so...Provar Support is your best bet. Good luck and please keep that feedback coming. It's the best way we have of focusing on the things that will make Provar test automation better.

  ### 22. Provar is suitable for Salesforce

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Provar?**

Easy to Implement , good customer support , documentation is simple to understand

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

Sometimes execution is very slow than compared to selenium.. Also certain basic features are hard to implement in provar unlike JAVA, 6 - 7 steps are needed for simple functions

**Recommendations to others considering Provar:**

This tool for end to end functional test cases in Salesforce with Integration tools

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integrations with other tools is very easy , Easy to set up connectivity to Database, tools-GIThub,testrail etc

**Official Response from Alexander Sherwood:**

> Thanks for your review! Very happy to hear that you're finding Provar easy to implement - we spent a lot of time making sure that Provar is the easiest tool to start building Salesforce test automation with plenty of extensibility to cover the most demanding requirements. When you are seeing issues with test execution speed - is this something that you could test via the API? Many Provar users start with UI tests and then move to API testing which dramatically reduces test execution time. And, like the rest of Provar - API tests are very easy to create. If you are spending more time than you want creating tests for simple functions, definitely reach out to Provar Support to help you find a faster way. We're always looking for customer feedback on what to add next - your conversations with Support in this area will be much appreciated.

**What do you like best about Provar?**

Test Builder
Ease of test creation and execution

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

Reporting can be improved, and mobile browser support

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Develop robust automation test pack

**Official Response from Alexander Sherwood:**

> Hello Ashok and thanks for your review! Wonderful to hear that you're enjoying your Provar experience, especially with the ease (and probably speed) of test creation and execution. If you haven't already done a test drive, take a look at Provar Manager as an easy way to improve your reporting and dashboard capabilities. It's very easy to send test execution information from Provar Automation to Provar Manager, and once you have the flow set up, you can take advantage of pre-built reports and dashboards (plus, since Provar Manager is a Salesforce app, you can customize to your heart's content). Provar Manager is on the Salesforce AppExchange - https://appexchange.salesforce.com/appxListingDetail?listingId=a0N4V00000FgvBNUAZ.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Swaroop V. | Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Provar?**

Support for SFDC lightning UI automation

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

It is a heavy application, not lightweight

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Excellent customer support to solve automation framework challenges and automation challenges

**Official Response from Alexander Sherwood:**

> Hi Swaroop,

Thanks for your review! We love hearing that Provar is solving test automation challenges for Salesforce users and that the Provar Support team is continuing to confirm their stellar reputation. Because of the sophistication of Provar's engineered-for-Salesforce test automation solution, I'm not sure anyone would refer to Provar Automation as lightweight. :-) It takes a lot of engineering to deliver that much value. Best wishes for your continued success with Provar!

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

N/A. There is such dislikes as of not I faced with the product.

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Writing automated flows to integrate the use cases both in classic and lightning in salesforce.

**Official Response from Alexander Sherwood:**

> Hello Ravi and thanks for your review! Glad to hear that you are finding Provar so easy to use. We've spent a lot of engineering time making it the best no-code/low-code Salesforce test automation tool available. Interesting to note that you're testing classic. It turns out you're not alone - we have a lot of customers testing both and very happy with being able to create Provar tests that work for both. ### 26. Time saving test automation tool for beginners and advanced users

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christian V. | Test Automation Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Provar?**

Record and playback of scripts.
User-friendly IDE to write and execute test scripts.
Scripts are text-based which makes it easy for any SCM to keep track and multi-user development.

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

It needs to support salesforce community pages better.
It tends to be flaky in detecting those controls.
IDE tends to be slow when editing the page objects when they get really big.

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps with automating test case development and execution.
Its rich IDE and different options of running tests locally and remotely is definitely a good feature.

**Official Response from Alexander Sherwood:**

> Thanks very much for your review Christian! Nice to hear from what sounds like a pretty sophisticated user with a development background - IDE and SCM were my clues. :-) Provar has spent a lot of time building a test automation tool that works for both beginners and advanced users - it's great that customers are noticing! Thanks also for letting us know where we can improve. If you haven't already, definitely go to the Provar Success Portal at https://success.provartesting.com/ and start a conversation with the Provar Support team about the specific issues you're seeing testing Salesforce community pages, and especially performance around editing those really big page objects. We really need users like you to help us push the boundaries of what Provar can do, so thanks again for your feedback!

  ### 27. The Test automation for Salesforce

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bruce F. | S, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Provar?**

It is often updated to support the newest features or soft ware. It is flexible in the licensing where you can have a floating license or per person. They have excellent support where I get my questions answered fast.

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

It is tedious to set up, taking a lot of time to get the automation working. You need to do a lot of clicking through to make sure your script is working via provar, it is not like recording a macro.

**Recommendations to others considering Provar:**

Check if you have time to work on it. Have a staff member work on it full time if possible especially if there are a lot of customizations like visual force pages.

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Doing regression testing of the application. It is time consuming to test old parts of the software when working on updates. Working with provar has simplified our testing and work in the end.

**Official Response from Alexander Sherwood:**

> Hi Bruce,

Thanks for your review! Great feedback on Provar supporting the newest features - we spend a lot of time and energy working with Salesforce to make sure we support the newest updates and your existing Provar tests continue to execute. I'd love to hear more about where you're finding the setup tedious. Are you working a lot with custom objects and custom page layouts? Provar support can definitely help. Sometimes it might seem like building a test in Provar involves several clicks, but it's important to keep in mind that you are not just building the test, but validating each of the test steps in the process. This means that your test will execute correctly when you finish - and you can skip right past the more traditional build/run/debug/repeat cycle.

Great to hear that your regression testing is simplified. Best wishes for continued success!

Best regards,

Alexander Sherwood | Director of Product Marketing | alex@provartesting.com

  ### 28. Easy tool to begin automation adventure

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kamil K. | Test Automation Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Provar?**

For me, Provar is the best tool for beginners who don't have experience in the automation of salesforce applications. Provar allows you to skip the most challenging part of the automation process by automatically mapping objects, making them ready to use.

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

The Provar team should work more with updating metadata files. Sometimes it is difficult for the tool to execute simple action on an object visible on the screen, but Provar doesn't recognize it.

**Recommendations to others considering Provar:**

If you are looking for an easy tool to automate your salesforce-based applications, it is the perfect choice to start with. And If your team is not familiar with the tool, it will be very easy to learn, thanks to Provar academy portal.

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem that Provar solves is dynamic locators in salesforce applications. It speeds up the automation process and allows to cover more use cases in testing plan

**Official Response from Alexander Sherwood:**

> Hello Kamil and thanks very much for your review! Allowing users to 'skip the most challenging part' and 'automatically mapping objects' is a great commentary on what we call intuitive testing. That's a big part of what makes our customers successful, and, to your point on benefits, it definitely helps speed up the automation process and allows for more test coverage. A big win-win for anyone doing Salesforce test automation.

Regarding the occasional inability to automatically map an object, it would help to know more about the specifics. Was it after a metadata refresh, is the issue with a custom object, part of a custom application or something else? The experts at Provar Customer Support are always the best place to start.

  ### 29. Prover is a nice tool for salesforce automation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akshay S. | Sr. Salesforce QA, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Provar?**

The user friendly behaviour on creating a new testcase.

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

We can't do our other work when prover is running in the background.

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Provar is solving the lack of timing on testing.

**Official Response from Alexander Sherwood:**

> Hi Akshay,

Thanks very much for your review. It's good to hear that you're finding Provar a good tool for Salesforce automation and that you're freeing up some time from what I'm guessing was manual testing. If you are still feeling like Provar running in the background is an issue, please reach out to Provar Support. Provar has an execution only license that will allow you to execute Provar tests remotely, you can select the Chrome - Headless option to run your test, or you might consider running Provar on a remote desktop like Amazon Workspaces (I have this setup and it works really well).

  ### 30. Moumita

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Moumita D. | software engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Provar?**

Easy to code for new user, scriptless coding

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

Provar test builder frequently becomes unresponsive

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scriptless coding
Salesforce in built functions
inter-application coding
browser flexibility

**Official Response from Alexander Sherwood:**

> Hi Moumita,
Thanks for your review! My favorite Provar test building features are 'right click' and 'add and do'. It's amazing how much progress you can make in Salesforce test automation with just two mouse clicks. It would be interesting to hear more about the conditions under which Test Builder becomes unresponsive. Just in case, check to make sure that you're running on a supported browser. And, definitely reach out to the friendly people at Provar Support. They're expert at sorting out all things Provar related and great at fixing issues large and small.

  ### 31. Nice tool

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Provar?**

Provar is a very nice tool for testers who are migrating from functional testing to Automation. The tool has excellent documentation and is very user-friendly once the setup has been made.

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

Initialization time and sometimes not responding

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Good documentation and most of the answers to the questions can be found in the website

**Official Response from Alexander Sherwood:**

> Thanks very much for your review! We love the feedback - the good and the less good - because it really helps us a) know what we're doing right, and more importantly b) where we need to improve. If your initialization time is something that happens other than when you are creating a new test in a new org (i.e. you haven't built a test with those pages/layouts/elements before), then connect with Provar Support to get help troubleshooting. And...reach out to support for help with the responsiveness issue.

  ### 32. Automation with ease

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Provar?**

Reusable scripts and the automation at its best to help you go beyond the scripting plans. We use Provar for Salesforce testing automation but have plans to enhance it for robotics responses.

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

bit of tedious debugging and need technical expertise for the XML updates or XPATH updates

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping us solve the testing automation which is the major areas where we need a dependent regression tool.

**Official Response from Alexander Sherwood:**

> Thanks very much for your review! 'Automation with ease' is exactly what Provar are shooting for, so it's gratifying to hear that we are hitting the mark. If you're still having trouble with XML and XPATH updates, Provar Support is the best place to get started. Just in case you're brand new to using xpath - here's a course recommended to me (a total newbie) to get up to speed - https://www.w3schools.com/xml/xpath_intro.asp. Please do check back in when you start expanding your tests for robotic responses - that sounds really interesting!

  ### 35. Powerful and efficient test automation tool for Salesforce.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Security and Investigations | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2021

**What do you like best about Provar?**

Provar's ability to interact with Salesforce's changing UI is a definite plus.
You can go back and modify the code and replay the step without starting over.
This has saved me a lot of hours of restarting tests.
A nice IDE to have everything available at my disposal.
Also, their support is top-notch. They are available to help me out.

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

The IDE is sometimes a bit slow to load. I have accidentally modified an incorrect test because it did not refresh quickly. Good thing there's Undo button.
I hope they can support non-web-based apps.

**Recommendations to others considering Provar:**

If you are testing mainly with Salesforce, this a tool that you must you use.
It saves time and effort in maintaining UI tests.

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was implementing a UI End to End testing scenario. Imagine starting off from one application and validating the flow in different applications.
With Provar, you can do all of them (as long they are web-based) quite easily.

**Official Response from Alexander Sherwood:**

> Thanks very much for your detailed review of Provar! It's clear from your comments that you're getting a lot of value and your test cases (UI end to end testing) cover a lot of ground. 'Provar's ability to interact with Salesforce's changing UI' is a fantastic 1st line - thanks very much for that :-) - and is a fundamental part of what makes Provar great. Salesforce UI changes (either minor updates or the 3 annual releases) typically don't break Provar tests. Big improvement over more traditional tools. Same thing for the runtime debugging and moving forward and back in the test - great to see that all that design work is benefitting real world users. If you're still seeing a slow metadata refresh rate, please reach out to the support team. As you pointed out, they are top notch. Given our focus on Salesforce and the surrounding ecosystem, Provar doesn't have plans at the moment to support non web-based applications. That said, we would be very interested to hear about your requirements. If you get a chance, let's connect via email (address below).

Best regards,

Alexander Sherwood | Director of Product Marketing | alex.sherwood@provartesting.com

Our no-code/low-code intuitive test building solution is a big part of what's making customers who are moving from manual, or sometimes no testing, to test automation for Salesforce. Are you looking for additional web applications already part of the eco system, non-web applications, or something else? Provar does enable end-to-end testing for a process flow crossing multiple applications - including being able to open multiple browsers on different applications, all in the same test. ### 38. Provar is one of the most dynamic tool for automating Salesforce

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohd K. | Tester, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Provar?**

The dynamic nature of tool and its meta data library which keeps on updating itself with each Salesforce release. User is able to find most of the objects without having to add separately

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

1. Provar application UI can be more interesting and catchy. Its a bit cumbersome to find many things within the tool
2. CI/CD should be automatically integrated with the tool without having to install separately

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am automating Salesforce Regression suite.

**Official Response from Alexander Sherwood:**

> Hello Mohd and thanks very much for your review! Your comments really hit the highlights on why Provar is special. Our intelligent use of metadata and timing Provar compatibility releases to match sandbox previews for Salesforce's Spring, Summer and Winter releases are a big part of what makes Provar tests unbreakable - meaning much more reliable than tests built with traditional web application testing tools. It's also why we're able to deliver a much more intuitive testing experience - so you can find objects without having to add them separately. Thanks also for your feedback on the UI and on the request for automatic integration with CI/CD tools. The good news is we're working on both! If you would be willing to share your ideas about where the UI could be improved and which CI/CD tools you're using, we would love to hear them. You can reach me at the email address below. Best of luck for your continued success with Provar!

  ### 39. Benifits of Provar, how it made my life easier.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arun K. | Test Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Provar?**

I use Provar for SF Automation, which our things easier and it is specifically buit for salesforece, wher epeople who don't have coding knowledge can also work with provar, easy to learn and main it for longer run

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

Provar Documentation are not so good, they should make that clear also you can't do more customization. The main drawback is we can't pass the web elements from the Testcase.

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we can easily drag and drop more functions that don't need coding, also getting reports screenshots were made really easier, for writing the code it will take 1 hours were we can do in a minute by dragging and droping in Provar

**Official Response from Alexander Sherwood:**

> Hi Arun,
Thanks for your review! Great to hear that seeing a 60x improvement (hours to minutes) using Provar instead of coding your Salesforce test automation. That's a fantastic outcome. If you are still looking for ways to do more customization, definitely reach out to the Support team. Providing customers with quick customization solutions is a big part of what they do - and it's a great way to have your feedback filter up to the Product team. ### 40. More user friendly and robust in Salesforce Automation.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Provar?**

Picks up Lighting web components with customizable path locators which are interesting. SOQL, DB, Excel integrations are useful when multiple environments are involved in testing web apps..

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

Some challenges are here and there initially when we learn but mastering the tool itself is so good and useful for any Manual testers and Automation specialist.

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automate and integrating various apps with Provar is beneficial but challenges are also there when we miss certain steps. Video tutorials are missed here for quick help.

**Official Response from Alexander Sherwood:**

> Thanks very much for your review! It looks like you're well on the way to being an advanced Provar user. Watch the Provar community (discourse.provartesting.com) for news about some very cool updates around LWC testing. If you haven't already, please do let the Provar Support team know which components you use most and they will connect with the product team. Great feedback re. video tutorials for integrations. What are the applications most important in your stack - CI/CD tools, test management (check out our new Test Manager product on the Salesforce AppExchange), or something else? Excellent support from team and tool has been compatible for web portal, salesforce as well as rest api testing. s

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

Little slower in loading the tests, elements. Performance can be slightly increased from user point of view. s

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automation of portal comprised of web as well as salesforce automation. Also automation of web services areas for REST services. This has helped to speed up the execution work in test.

**Official Response from Alexander Sherwood:**

> Thanks very much for your review! It sounds like you're doing end-to-end test automation with applications and APIs outside of Salesforce. Great to hear and we want to see more! If you haven't already reached out to Support about the performance issues you're seeing, definitely start there. One easy thing to check is reloading org cache - are you refreshing everything or just the changes? Keep that feedback coming and best wishes for your continued success with Provar!

**What do you like best about Provar?**

Drag and drop functionality it is easy to build test cases

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

Sometimes the test cases would break when running

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is reducing the testing time and avoiding any human error...easy smoke testing in production

**Official Response from Alexander Sherwood:**

> Thank you for your review! Great to hear that you're taking advantage of Provar's no-code test automation. It's fantastically easy to learn and use - many users are productive after a very short ramp-up time. Definitely reach out to Provar Support if you are still having the occasional issue while running tests. Being able to validate each test step as it's added to a test case (clicking 'add and do'), means that errors running the test are typically rare, so you make be experiencing something unusual - which is where the support team can really save you some time. Glad to hear that Provar is saving time and reducing errors - those are two of the biggest gains teams moving from manual testing regularly see. Looking forward to hearing about what's next in your test automation journey!

  ### 44. The appropriate tool to implement Automation testing of Salesforce CRM application

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** NaveenKumar L. | Test Lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Provar?**

None or very less knowledge of coding is required to work with the Provar automation tool, Its is very easy to create scripts as it supports drag and drop or record functionality.
Also the scripts created doesn't need much maintenance which is a huge differentiator compared to other tool as Saleforce.com release updates every quarter and they change the X-paths or the page layout a lot, since Provar work on the metadata concept, the scripts easily adapts to the changes.

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

Not much, if there is one thing they that has to be the better support for mobile testing.

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As explained in the what i like best, Provar is helping our client automate testing of Salesforce CRM application as its better and easy to adapt compared to any other tools in the market currently. Also the scripts created doesn't need much maintenance which is a huge differentiator compared to other tool as Saleforce.com release updates every quarter and they change the X-paths or the page layout a lot, since Provar work on the metadata concept, the scripts easily adapts to the changes hence benefitting by saving the time required for maintenance of the scripts.

**Official Response from Alexander Sherwood:**

> Hi Naveen,

Thanks for your review of Provar. You've absolutely hit the nail on the head with your comment about Provar tests having low maintenance compared to other tools. We're very proud of our record of making Salesforce updates as simple as possible for our customers and believe our intelligent metadata driven approach is the best way to do Salesforce test automation.

Please do reach out to the support team to discuss your mobile testing requirements. Provar supports testing via a number of different remote web and mobile testing platforms such as Sauce Labs, Perfecto, and BrowserStack. ### 45. Provar In Our Global Salesforce Org

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Provar?**

Excellent knowledge and guidance from Provar Support, consistent follow up to fix issues.
Simplified scripts for usage .
capabilities to use dynamic data sets.

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

Inconsistent Behavior of existing scrips after Salesforce releases.
Need to create multiple complex functions to satisfy requirements/flows.
No sufficient capability to handle Calander functions

**Recommendations to others considering Provar:**

Highly recommended for the functional test flows in salesforce. Not much suitable for Integration tests. There are pros and cons

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ability to automate Integration use cases that use calls to external APIs with great flexiblity and less code.
Flexiblity to run tests in multiple orgs in case of need.

**Official Response from Alexander Sherwood:**

> Thanks very much for your review! It sounds like you're making a lot of progress with Provar and have identified some really important elements that make Provar a great Salesforce test automation solution - flexibility to run tests in multiple orgs can be a HUGE time saver from a creation and maintenance point of view (we call that polymorphic - using a test in multiple contexts) , and that Provar Support is a wonderful resource. If you're seeing issues with scripts after Salesforce releases, the support team is the very best place to start. Winter '22 will be here soon with the sandbox preview scheduled for 7 Jan https://www.salesforce.com/blog/key-dates-sandbox-preview/. Provar will have been working with Winter '22 as part of our compatibility release for Winter '22, so early January is a great time to connect and get a conversation started about potential issues. The same is true if you're still having trouble with calendar functions and complex functions for flow testing - only don't wait until January. :-)

One problem with it is scalability and issue loading up provar.

  ### 47. Best tool for Salesforce Automation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sree Harsha B. | Technical Lead - QE | Salesforce Admin Certified | Provar Certified, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2020

**What do you like best about Provar?**

Tool Options are fabulous and views are easy accessible.

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

Metadata Reloading is taking time to load

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communities and Regular Salesforce

**Official Response from Hetty Boardman-Weston:**

> Hi Sree, thank you for taking the time to review Provar! We are really pleased you have had a positive experience.

In terms of the metadata reload times, we appreciate these can be frustrating. When it comes to synchronizing the metadata from Salesforce we are often dependent on the speed of Salesforce's platform response. If it helps, the metadata can be synchronized and cached so you only have to download the changes since the last sync. You can also share metadata via your VCS so that each user does not have to manage their own sync with Salesforce. If you'd like to know more about either of these please reach out to our support team and we'd be happy to guide you through it.

Thank you again for your fantastic review!

  ### 48. I was amazed by the amount of functionalities and integration with salesforce

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Benjamin B. | Développeur solutions, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Provar?**

- The way SObjects and fields can be easily interacted with
- All the useful functions like random name generators
- Easy detection of fields and web element

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

- Slow execution
- If Google Chrome is updated, it might take a while for Provar to be updated, which renders scripts unusable
- Very expensive

**Recommendations to others considering Provar:**

It might take some time to get used to it, but it has all the power you need and even more. Make sure you really understand the basics first

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Just saving time in executing regression scenarios after a release

**Official Response from Alexander Sherwood:**

> Hello Benjamin and thanks very much for your review! Great to hear that you're finding Provar useful for detecting fields and web elements and driving your Salesforce test automation. Saving time building, executing and maintaining regression scenarios are typical outcomes for Provar users - we're glad you're seeing many of the same things. If 'after a release' means after a Salesforce release - we couldn't agree more. Provar spends a lot of time making sure we're compatible with each new Salesforce release, so your tests will continue to work as each new Salesforce release goes GA. Tell your new users to check out the University of Provar for help in getting started. They can learn the basics right away and add advanced skills as needed. Thanks also for your comments about execution and Chrome updates. If you are still seeing issues in either of these areas, please reach out to the Provar Support team. They are experts at all things Provar and are the fastest path to solving any specific problems you might be having. Hopefully you've found that the benefits delivered by Provar (time saving in executing regressions, easy detection and mapping, easy interaction with objects) have provided good value.

  ### 50. Excellent Testing tool for salesforce

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan W. | Digital Marketing Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Provar?**

I like the fact you can carry out any tests needed on salesforce and see if a new change has broken other elements of the system. It is very powerful and any org that uses salesforce will be able to use this to make sure that custom development moving forward is the best it can possible be.

I like the factor you can test both classic and lighting with one test case, and it is easy to reach out to other services like outlook 365

**What do you dislike about Provar?**

Has a steep learning curve but this the learning areas has made this much easier.

2FA is interesting as you need to white list IP's if you want to use in tunnel

**What problems is Provar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We make lots of changes on our salesforce org and need to ensure that these have little impacts on the existing configuration.

Before all tests were run manually and it was easy to miss certain cases.

**Official Response from Alexander Sherwood:**

> Hello Jonathan,

Thanks very much for your review! It sounds like you've managed the transition from manual testing and used Provar successfully to make sure your development efforts are deployed with the highest quality and least amount of disruption. Also great to hear that you've been able to set up two factor authentication - if you run into issues, the Provar support team is ready to help. Thanks also for noting the University of Provar (assuming that's what you meant by learning areas). If you have ideas for additional classes, we'd love to hear them.
