What I love most is just how convenient it is to use every day. The password generator is excellent, and I really appreciate the syntax highlighting—distinguishing between confusing characters like a capital "O" and a zero "0" saves so much frustration. ​The flexibility is also a huge plus. Being able to add file attachments and custom fields directly to any login item means I can store all the specific business data I need in one place. On top of that, having built-in dark web monitoring gives me real peace of mind, knowing I'll be alerted immediately if any of our credentials leak. The biggest annoyance is that the autofill feature can still be a bit hit-or-miss. It happens fairly often that the app simply fails to detect the login fields on a website or inside another app. On mobile, it frequently gets stuck, and I have to minimize and reopen the browser two or three times just to force Proton Pass to recognize the form and trigger the autofill. It solves the mess of having passwords, 2FA codes, and secure files scattered across different apps, bringing everything into one secure place. ​The biggest benefit is how much time it saves daily. The autofill works flawlessly, and having integrated OTP codes generated directly inside the login means no more switching to a separate authenticator app. I also love the email aliases, which let me sign up for services without exposing my real business inbox to spam or leaks. Plus, being able to attach sensitive files like API keys or recovery codes directly to a login is incredibly useful. Security. Obviously, the system is not fully protected. None are. However, if you're dealing with bad actors who are not the "deep state", you're good. And if you are dealing with the deep state, but you're not "too deep", then at least you have plausible deniability. Because what matters isn't if they see the information or not, but if it is admissible in court. They would have to reveal their illicit/shady methods of getting the information (which they can) if they were to deal with you. They don't want to do that. There are some frustrating UI issues still, credit cards don't always autofill, it's very hit or miss on mobile filling inputs, and for the websites I have Authenticator baked in, it doesn't always recognise. I really liked that I trusted it right out of the gate. That was becuase I had already been using Proton Mail, Proton VPN, and Proton Drive for years before I started using Proton Pass, and never once had an issue with either of the platforms. I had avoided using ANY password manager until Proton Pass came about becuase I didn't trust them. There were reports of other password managers being hacked, and so I never used one - until Proton Pass came out. Trust for me equals peace of mind and to me that's priceless. Proton Pass by itself has more parameters and features than even I have been able to take advantage of, and I would probably have something to dislike if I used it to it's full ability, but for how I use it, it's been perfect. Also, I'm a seriously difficult and picky person when it comes to evaluating most any product, be it a phone, a car, or a password manager and if there was something I disliked you'd know about it. It's allowing me to have a one-stop shop for all my logins, banking info, password creation, alias email creation, and management of all above across all platforms. Previously I was using several different methods, and each time I had a new login or password, I had to update it across each of the different methods. I've now consolidated them all into Proton Pass. Also, in the past, I've heard of hackers breaking into other password management systems, but this has never happened with Proton Pass. I love that it generates high-security passwords for all my business accounts. Since I run an astrology channel with over 100K followers, I have logins for multiple social media platforms and consulting tools, and having them encrypted in one place is a lifesaver. The browser extension is also really smooth. It automatically fills in my credentials so I don't have to go hunting for passwords when a client is waiting for a Astrology consultation.
