"Glad to have an alternative to Gmail"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Proton Mail For Business?

Grateful to have a safe, secure alternative to Gmail and Google products. Proton Mail works great. The Gmail migration tool makes it super-simple to move over. So glad I made the switch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Proton Mail For Business?

It's definitely not quite as flashy -- right now the calendar lags, and there's no drag-and-drop email automatic filtering (yet?) like there is in Gmail, which means you have manually make a filter for nearly *every* single thing you want to skip the inbox and land elsewhere... But I'm hopeful there will be fixes and more features to come. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Very Useful"

What do you like best about Proton Mail For Business?

I mainly use the email service and the docs, and it’s really nice to have both in one place. I also just started using the calendar booking page, and it’s been very simple to set up and use. The peace of mind of E2E encryption is another big plus for me. There are a couple of things that could be improved, but overall it fits my needs for my small business, and my clients appreciate that I care about keeping their messages protected too. What do you dislike about Proton Mail For Business?

The tiers really reel you in, but the features you’d think you’d need end up costing extra. I understand why it’s set up that way, but it still almost feels like a bait-and-switch tactic. Also the small file size uploads. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Secure, easy to use, packed with smart features"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Proton Mail For Business?

The most helpful feature of Proton for Business are the security features and encryption. The best upside of Proton for Business is that the ecosystem is well-designed and actually improves my daily workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Proton Mail For Business?

The only minor downside is that Proton isn’t as universally used as Google or Microsoft, so people are not as familiar with the brand. Proton also does not integrate with other systems like Google and Saleforce. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Proton Business Suite"
5/5
What do you like best about Proton Mail For Business?

Proton Mail (and the entire Proton suite of apps) has been a fantastic alternative to the Google ecosystem for me. It’s been a great fit for what I need with some nice features such as: multiple email addresses feeding into a single inbox, easy to set up with a custom domain, easy admin configuration and addition of other users. There user support was fantastic the one time I’ve needed it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Proton Mail For Business?

I’ve had no issues that weren’t self inflicted Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Proton has improved massively over the years"
4/5
What do you like best about Proton Mail For Business?

Privacy, and Proton’s policy of keeping data safe, secure, and encrypted, is its best feature. I also like that Proton stays ahead on the basics—for example, having SMTP disabled by default, unlike other platforms such as Google workspace. That kind of default setting helps ensure small to medium businesses using Proton are better covered and compliant for things such as Cyber Essentials. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Proton Mail For Business?

Because Proton is still a fairly new platform, some users may struggle to understand and use it, especially if they’re accustomed to more established options like Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Proton has come a long way"
5/5
What do you like best about Proton Mail For Business?

I like that Proton now basically includes all the features you’d expect from a 365 or Google Workspace account. It wasn’t always like this, but Proton feels like it’s finally “there.” We use Proton exclusively because we rely on it being “privacy first.” Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Proton Mail For Business?

I wish we had more options for server-side backups. It would be great to keep everything under the same tent and manage it all in one place. A Linux-based Proton Drive would be a game changer for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"It does most of the job"

What do you like best about Proton Mail For Business?

Integrations to tools/solutions like jumpcloud, okta are lacking. Glad to have email encryption out of the box. User management is simple. I wish there was more robust message tracing and mail flow tules like Exchange has. I wish there was more completeness in identity management like Googlr Workspace and more features like Okta. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Proton Mail For Business?

Lack of business features. When you create a certificate for a used’s email that certificate is automatically made the default and so it is very easy to delete your old cert (which is used to open your old emails) thinking it’s not the old one because it is no longer enabled since creating new cert.

I wish there was better message logging for users in my workspace Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best email system that does not think your information is theirs"
5/5
What do you like best about Proton Mail For Business?

It irritates me when internet providers think that my information is theirs. It's NOT. I believe in privacy and have been utilizing Proton mail and their services for a few years now. It's seamless and it's private. I highly recommend their services. I can also send information encrypted using a password without any issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Proton Mail For Business?

That everyone does not use it so that emails that go out of the system are not secure on the other end. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"An incredible alternative to Gsuite"
5/5
What do you like best about Proton Mail For Business?

As someone who used Google for decades, the complete disregard for data security drove me to seek alternatives. I couldn't be happier with Proton's offerings. Proton Mail has completely replaced Google, not only for my business but also personally. It's fantastic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Proton Mail For Business?

As someone who uses aliases a lot, but still forwards some remaining Gmail Emails to my account, it'd be great if it would automatically generate an aliased response instead of having to do it manually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
