It is easy to use and navigate the software. The state information flows directly from federal. All the mailing information can be printed along with the return. There are instructions on what is required at each form and where to input the information is easily available. The penalties and interest is calculated automatically. Not able to import excel sheets for depreciation and 5471's. Sometimes it is difficult to understand where you need to input the values. The help icon sometimes doesn't assists you in determining where you need to input information. In these situations sometimes you need to override the system and input the data directly on the form. Sometimes the software will not open and you need to restart the computer to start the software. You are not able to e-file the returns. hate that you must sync binder continuously to ensure you don't lose work, should have auto-syncs or recover work if there is a crash at least. Also aesthetic looks pretty dated, could be refreshed. What I like best about ProSystem fx Suite is the organization level. Everything is relatively easy to find and some of the details are easy to work with. Some of the reports are really easy to use and run and others can be difficult. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I dislike about ProSystem fx Suite is the fact that it is difficult to use for taxed items and merchandise that we sell to our clients. I do realize that its not necessarily intended to be used that way but for us, we do as well as time entries. There needs to be a few extra features for customization of reports to be run. We need invoice reference information to be tied back to the original order and there are very few ways to actually access that information, much less run reports about it. ProSystem fx Engagement was a great tool for streamlining our audit process. It improved communication between the tax and audit departments, and allowed us to easily organize all audit workpapers in one place. Very smooth, check in - check out features are great. Trial balance functionality is very good. Audit trail functionality is good too. Auto sync on exit is a good feature that force it to sync each time binder is closed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
