What do you dislike about Prostream? Customer support response times lag during Germany's peak textile order seasons between August and October. Our team occasionally encounters workflow routing glitches with large multi-page textile contracts, yet support tickets often take 24 to 48 hours to receive a reply, slowing down time-sensitive sample order approval workflows. More local German-language support agents and faster priority ticketing for mid-sized manufacturing businesses would resolve this pain point. The platform’s mobile interface is far too limited for on-site production and field sales staff. Many of our wholesale sales representatives travel to meet fabric retailers across Germany and neighboring EU countries, and our production supervisors regularly inspect fabric batches on the factory floor. The Prostream mobile app only supports basic file viewing; users cannot edit textile spec sheets, adjust workflow approval statuses, or modify client folder permissions while offline. When a sales rep meets a buyer who requests an updated fabric color chart right away, they have to wait until they return to an office desktop to submit revisions into our document pipelines. Adding full offline editing, mobile approval toggles, and simplified permission management for handheld devices would eliminate these workflow delays for our field-based team members. I can see every edit, every approval, and every user who accessed a file, which is crucial for quality assurance and compliance. I also appreciate the stable and structured folder architecture. We manage thousands of technical documents across multiple projects, and Prostream keeps everything neatly organized without file corruption or messy overwrites. What do you dislike about Prostream? While Prostream meets our core document control needs at Trumpf Stuttgart GmbH, there are several areas where it doesn’t fully fit our industrial engineering workflow and could be improved. First, the handling of large technical files and CAD drawings can be slow. Uploading, previewing, and downloading heavy 3D models often takes longer than expected, which disrupts engineers during time-sensitive design work. Native, smooth CAD preview without external plugins would be a major improvement. Second, the search and metadata filtering is less flexible than we need. We work with highly specific engineering documentation, and the system doesn’t always recognize custom part numbers or technical keywords reliably. I really appreciate Prostream’s fully separated, permission-locked project channels paired with detailed, exportable audit logging, as this combination drastically cuts our compliance workload. I can create independent closed channels for each training cohort, corporate client contract, and internal Automation Anywhere bot development project, with custom access rules that I set once and reuse. Prostream keeps everything neatly organized and compliant, which is a huge relief during audits. Another standout feature is its dedicated branded upload portals, which improve our workflow by standardizing the intake process for confidential materials. Submissions auto-sort into folders, and I get immediate notifications, making it easier to manage everything. Prostream’s ability to securely share large encrypted training files is also invaluable, especially since our training libraries contain multi-gigabyte content that email can’t handle. It’s also excellent for securely sharing files with password-protected, auto-expiring guest links, making life easier for busy corporate teams. What do you dislike about Prostream? Very limited functionality on mobile devices. I often travel to client sites across Berlin to discuss custom enterprise APA training roadmaps or conduct on-site process assessments. The Prostream mobile interface only allows basic file preview and downloads. Critical administrative actions are locked to desktop browsers: creating new project channels, building branded upload portals, adjusting tiered user permissions, generating password-protected expiring links, or reviewing condensed audit logs. If a corporate L&D manager urgently needs a dedicated portal to submit their internal automation process documents while I’m out of the office, I cannot set it up remotely and have to wait until returning to my desktop, slowing down project kickoff timelines. We also lack customizable mobile push alerts—right now the app sends a notification for every single file upload, with no filters to only flag high-priority submissions from enterprise clients or certification bootcamp students, leading to constant distracting alerts during client meetings. I like how expansive it is. When I used it for a few personal projects, it was extremely helpful for planning and implementing everything.
