As an IT Manager, I value the speed and accuracy of the tech support team on those rare occasions when it's needed. We're able to generate a new price book every quarter with minimal IT effort. As of the more recent versions, the application is stable and performs well. The data model is easy to understand and the user administration/setup is easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Conga POM (Price Optimization & Management)? There are limitations on characters used in part names that have caused minor inconveniences. Restarting the application can cause users to lose certain preferences for how screens are laid out. The application requires a lot of memory (160+GB) per server, in a multi-server configuration. It's right on the border as to whether to use physical or virtual machines. I'd like to see more efficient memory usage. On some screens when a report or process takes a long time to run, the session will become disconnected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Conga POM (Price Optimization & Management): We have an on-prem solution implemented and integrated with dozens of other applications. If you take a similar path, plan on having a professional services engagement with the PROS Support team to improve performance and stability a few months after initial implementation. PROS allows me to do my job more efficiency by giving me tools needed to perform. For the most part using lookup and price lists are quick and intuitive. I feel like we are able to publish more rates then we had been previously when we were on a much more manual system. PROS does a good job with large scale rate changes and updates. I would also say that there are a lot of different tools to accomplish rate changes that are all simple to use and easy to get to once the you have experience in the environment. I would also say push the system being the development team has really pushed the system forward with our requests and made it over more user friendly to all.
