Solid Proposal Builder Going Through Some Growing Pains **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Nate K. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2021 **What do you like best about Proposify?** The whole system is well thought out and makes creating dazzling new proposals very easy. My close rate on work was significantly high after using it, and changing little else. **What do you dislike about Proposify?** I have been using Proposify for years at this point. for the last 2 years, they have been transitioning to their updated 3.0 version. Some of the new features are useful, the layouts are clean, and the editor seems to be improved (though nowhere near where it should be in 2026). However the transition to the new system has been anything but smooth. There is no reliable way to migrate proposals and templates from the legacy system. There are a number of features, like pricing table settings that are no longer available. My biggest gripe with the old system was a rickety editor, but I have gotten used to it. Point being, I am still using the 2.0 system, which limits my capabilities, because I still can't upgrade without upending my entire workflow. I have no intention of switching, because even the old version is still better than the competition. Interesting note, I would imagine new users would not have any of these issues with the new system, as they don't need to migrate or miss pre-existing features. **Recommendations to others considering Proposify:** There are a few major options when considering a proposal tool. I've tried all of them. Proposify is the best one, hands down. **What problems is Proposify solving and how is that benefiting you?** We can produce proposals that used to takes us 2 hours in about 15 minutes. And they close at a higher rate. ### 2. As quotation is something which can also be made in other softwares so spending a large amount of money for its premium is not worth at all according to my experience but I generally prefer using it's free plan **What problems is Proposify solving and how is that benefiting you?** Giving different type of car detailing services to our customers is our day to day work and providing them a clean and clear quotation for those services is what we need to do everyday. So, we prefer to use proposify to give it a premium look and make it more descriptive so that the chances of customer conversion can increase. ### 3. We use it nearly every day. Before implementing the system, we were sending quotes in emails or We've created our own templates for quotes, and I like that the system can calculate totals and discounts easily. I also love that my clients and team members can download a PDF of each quote to save in their files if needed. Proposify helps our team stay organized and gives our clients a professional experience. **What do you dislike about Proposify?** I haven't been impressed by the Proposify mobile app. It's fine for checking in the status of proposals, but it's really difficult to create new proposals within the app. I ended up deleting the app entirely and only use Proposify on desktop. **What problems is Proposify solving and how is that benefiting you?** With Proposify, we've been able to standardize our quoting process and increase our professionalism in providing quotes to clients. It has provided a one-stop place to go back and reference prior project quotes and contracts without digging through months worth of emails. ### 4. I've used every tool and function on Proposify and have never had any trouble getting it to do what I need it to. The stats and metrics we have access to are particularly useful for my team- our sales have doubled since onboarding with Proposify. My team and I love creating content on the platform and our clients have been very impressed with how well it showcases our products and services. I've used other platforms before and I have to say this is by far my favourite yet. **What do you dislike about Proposify?** When we first started, the platform did go down a few times and we weren't able to fix the issue ourselves. However, the support team quickly fixed our issues and we haven't had a problem since. As well the ability to see when a potential client has viewed the proposal, how long they viewed it, etc. is great for understanding buyer behavior. **What do you dislike about Proposify?** The refresh of updates to a proposal don't always happen as quickly or in realtime. Web Development, Social Media Management, Inbound Marketing etc. This coupled with actually turning a proposal into a standardized client agreement (contract) with electronic signatures, game changer! **What do you dislike about Proposify?** For us there's not much to dislike at this point. The editor is a little outdated but works. Pagination can be finicky but not enough so that we'd ever want to go back to Word docs and PDF's. Font options, size and color could be easier. **Recommendations to others considering Proposify:** Give it a try and compare it to others out there. Their library allows me to easily "plug in" different contracts, testimonials, or other items based on a client industry . I can now put together a proposal in minutes instead of hours. Even better, I can see where potential clients are spending their time on the proposal review. Pro Tip: Walk clients through the proposal in Presentation Mode in Webinar for highest close rates. The ability to add PDF's into your presentation is a relatively recent improvement that has been a huge win for us. We have a lot of documentation in PDF format that is easily uploaded now. The Hubspot integration makes importing contact and business information into the contract a breeze. You can even collect a setup fee through Proposify now. They are incredibly responsive when it comes to customer support and product enhancements. **What do you dislike about Proposify?** They have a lot of templates, but I wish it were even more. They're really helpful and allows anyone to make a great looking presentation. **What problems is Proposify solving and how is that benefiting you?** Proposals were taking a long time to create and depending on who created them there was some inconsistency. We now have "authorized" templates that can be spun up in a matter of minutes. Easy to keep track of outstanding proposals and pipeline.
