It allows us to switch versions, time, and layout quickly. The workflows are useful for reminding people to enter data. Prophix saves us time on report creation, as it's faster and more reliable than using Excel, where there's always a concern about formulas or errors. **What do you dislike about Prophix Software?** Although the workflows are great, we've had issues with users not getting email notifications (which they said they fixed last year), with the opposite now, of users getting multiple duplicate emails. The Dashboard could also use more options, like more graph types available, with different color schemes and dynamic data. **What problems is Prophix Software solving and how is that benefiting you?** Prophix Software consolidates data across ERPs, eliminating multiple Excel versions prone to loss, enabling custom reports for quick ad hoc requests, and providing workflows that remind users to enter data promptly, making it faster and more reliable for financial planning and analysis. ### 2. It is easy to add/remove/alter the structure you have built as a result of corporate reorganizations or acquisitions/divestitures. **What do you dislike about Prophix Software?** The product struggles with processing assumptions entered to build forecast or budgeted balance sheets and cash flow statements. Users are required to find creative ways to reduce the processing time, which can lead to increased manual work required. **What problems is Prophix Software solving and how is that benefiting you?** Prophix helps us with the time crunch of month-end and the budgeting process, as well as with data integrity. You have the ability to build the system in a way that is flexible to your business needs. The models can be as granular or high-level as you want. Once it is setup, it does an excellent job of allowing you to automate reporting and modeling and maintain various scenarios. **What do you dislike about Prophix Software?** While the flexibility is great, my experience has been that it requires quite a bit of technical/consultancy time to get the integration setup and maintain the software due to the complexity of the implementation. The customer support has also, in my experience, been a bit slow to respond. **What problems is Prophix Software solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are in the process of implementing Prophix for sales budgeting and sales forecasting. The software allows for you to build a robust process for maintaining the forecasts and budgets, and then save them for future comparability to actual data (or alternative forecasts and reforecasts). We then plan to look into utilizing it for building out a full P&L forecast and budget. ### 4. As a corporate performance management (CPM) solution, Prophix has transformed how our finance team handles budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis. Prophix truly shines in automation and data integration. We were able to connect it to multiple data sources, streamlining our month-end close and enabling real-time insights. The time we’ve saved on manual processes alone has been a game changer. Plus, the version control and audit trails help us maintain data integrity and comply with internal controls. Another standout feature is the scenario planning capability. We can easily run what-if analyses, which has helped us make more confident, data-driven decisions in a volatile business environment. The ability to quickly pivot and model different outcomes is invaluable. **What do you dislike about Prophix Software?** While Prophix offers a powerful suite of features for financial planning and analysis, one of the main challenges we encountered was its steep learning curve. While Prophix does offer helpful resources and responsive customer support, organizations should be prepared to allocate time and training to ensure users become comfortable and can leverage the platform's full capabilities. **What problems is Prophix Software solving and how is that benefiting you?** Prophix Software is solving several key problems in our financial planning and analysis processes, primarily by reducing manual work, improving data accuracy, and enhancing our ability to forecast and analyze performance. Before Prophix, we relied heavily on spreadsheets, which were time-consuming, error-prone, and difficult to manage as our organization grew. With Prophix, we’ve automated budgeting, reporting, and forecasting, which has significantly cut down on time spent compiling and validating data. This has allowed our finance team to focus more on strategic analysis rather than administrative tasks. Additionally, the software provides a centralized, secure platform for financial data, which improves collaboration across departments and ensures everyone is working from a single source of truth. The ability to run real-time scenario analyses and quickly adjust forecasts has also been a major benefit, especially in today’s fast-changing business environment. ### 5. The best thing about Prophix is there Customer Success Program (CSP). The CSP has outstanding support and resources. In addition, we have built great relationships with many individuals at Prophix. They are eager to solve problems and want you to succeed. **What do you dislike about Prophix Software?** Due to the nature of our business, our transaction count is extremely large. The one continued hiccup we've experienced is performance. That has been the only dislike about Prophix. **What problems is Prophix Software solving and how is that benefiting you?** It has been our only source of budgeting and forecasting at a granular level for almost ten years now. It's allowed us to get into our number in order to make better decisions. It helped us during the pandemic and allowed us to do scenario planning and stay afloat. Where our competitors took a huge hit. ### 6. It can seamlessly integrates with your identity provider for SSO needs. **What do you dislike about Prophix Software?** Sometimes it feels slow but maybe it's just the network or something related to cloud. User may find it difficult initially if they weren't trained. **What problems is Prophix Software solving and how is that benefiting you?** We used to use another tool and sometimes spreadsheet for our financial needs, this tool gets rid of all that. It also becomes harder for Finance to coordinate with other departments, but this tool helps removes that barrier. Also helps managing who should have access to what and provides centralized management and role based controls. ### 7. You can slice and dice the data in any way you need to see it, and the user interface is very clean, modern, and easy to use. I also really enjoy the support that comes with the Continuous Success Package (CSP). I feel that I can reach out at any time and I will have a knowledgeable consultant to answer my questions. It keeps up with our daily use for 10 active users and rarely do we run into functionality issues with servers going down or anything like that. **What do you dislike about Prophix Software?** A downside that I have with using Prophix is that the reporting can take a while to load if you have many different unique member combinations. We have to limit the filters in certain reports or create duplicate reports with slightly different filters to get to certain reports if we don't want to wait 10 minutes for a report to load. My other complaint is that the integration with O365 isn't very intuitive in Excel (getvalue formulas rather than being able to click and connect like some other products) and there is not a streamlined powerpoint integration that doesn't show the full web-interface within the PowerPoint deck (which causes deck building to take many hours each month rather than a simple click and refresh). **What problems is Prophix Software solving and how is that benefiting you?** Prophix is solving the need to create manual excel reports and rather lets you automate those by building them in Prophix and being able to pull those on a Monthly basis. It is also allowing us to run an allocation process to push enterprise cost from a select number of departments to a bunch of geographix areas. We had a long complicated excel process that was doing this originally, but we were able to build it in Prophix and make it much more dynamic.
