Prophetic is an American technology company developing the Halo, a non-invasive neuromodulation device designed to induce lucid dreaming. By leveraging advanced technologies such as transcranial focused ultrasound (tFUS), electroencephalography (EEG), and functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS), the Halo aims to activate the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (dlPFC) during natural sleep cycles. This activation enhances self-awareness and cognitive control within dreams, enabling users to consciously navigate and manipulate their dream environments. The Halo is currently under research and development, with reservations available and fully refundable. Key Features and Functionality: - Transcranial Focused Ultrasound (tFUS): Utilizes precise ultrasonic waves to stimulate specific brain regions, particularly the dlPFC, to promote lucid dreaming. - Electroencephalography (EEG): Monitors electrical brain activity to assess neural oscillations and determine mental states during sleep. - Functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS): Measures changes in blood oxygenation to track brain activity, ensuring accurate targeting and effectiveness of the neuromodulation process. Primary Value and User Benefits: The Halo offers users the ability to achieve lucid dreaming, providing a platform for enhanced creativity, problem-solving, and self-discovery. By facilitating conscious control over dream narratives and environments, users can explore limitless scenarios, practice skills, and gain insights into their subconscious, effectively blurring the line between imagination and reality.
