It is just a matter of uploading the file and with the click of a button I was able to produce documents in the format of excel that I needed. **What do you dislike about ProperConvert app?** At first I thought some transaction details were missing, but realized it was a setting that I needed to edit. Had I not tried on a small sample database to test, I wouldn't have realized or known about this setting change to be performed. So an advise would be to test it out on sample database to see if all the data is converted correctly. If the PDF is very complicated it may miss out on them. So need to recheck each and every field if exported correctly. **Recommendations to others considering ProperConvert app:** Best to try it out on a small subset sample data, change the settings of the tool as required and also thoroughly test out the final data report to ensure nothing is missed out (this is especially important in case of sensitive PDFs where some data may not be recognizable by this software. One of the best features of this tool is confidentiality especially when using it on sensitive data as it is locally installed and does not use any other websites / online sites wherein you may need to upload your data to convert it. It was very simple to use and understand. Sometimes some data may not get read / converted correctly as it is a very data sensitive tool, but nothing that I could not easily correct for my purpose of use. **Recommendations to others considering ProperConvert app:** I would positively recommend this tool to anyone wanting to achieve the same results. The tool is very simple to use. The tool may fail to recognize some very specific data formats and is sensitive to it, but for simple uses, it works perfectly without any issues. I do need to delete some data after I export it, but that's just my requirement and has nothing to do with the tool and its effectiveness. Sometimes I do see some data not getting read / converted correctly, but it was a one-off instance and I could easily adjust the small subset of data. I am not allowed to share the PDF version with other teams and can only share certain fields of the data report. Also, It required some tweaking to get the data parsed into fields recognized by Quicken. **Recommendations to others considering ProperConvert app:** Be able to understand database systems and how to look at parsed data so that you can control the parsing to your greatest benefit **What problems is ProperConvert app solving and how is that benefiting you?** In March 2017, I was able to convert downloaded financial data files from multiple banks and credit accounts for the whole of 2016 from CSV format offered by those institutions to the QFX format that is importable into Quicken for Home and Business 2017. My goal was to be able generate business financial reports for 2016, including tax deductible expenses, so that I did not have to create them myself in Excel, as I had for many years in the past. My online bank and credit accounts do allow for direct data downloads into Quicken, but most of them limit the data to the last 7 months, which would not have given me all of 2016. And once a template is set up, you don't need to do the mapping again for future usage, unless anything changes, **What do you dislike about ProperConvert app?** Mapping function is a bit complicated for first time setting up, and it is not a visualize mapping tool. Sometimes this causes mapping errors since we are not able to pick the correct path. When I was using the converter, sometimes I was not able to figure out the final format data will be credits or debits, until the conversion is completed. **Recommendations to others considering ProperConvert app:** It will be better if the mapping screen has a split vision, so user can drag the fields for matching. Also, a preview screen with the converted file is very helpful. That has been the best way to go for me and my firm and is very much worth it. Clients also greatly appreciate the quick turnaround from when they provide their source info to our firm, with the ability to get them information far sooner than manual entry would permit or allow us to do. I almost gave up on this and entered a lot of data in manually, but when I finally tried *one more application* (PDF2CSV) I was delighted to discover what I had been looking for the whole time. With that, I find it a little tedious to be switching from one software to the other, every single time. It would have been great if all the PDF converts could have been in one software. **What problems is ProperConvert app solving and how is that benefiting you?** With this software, I've been able to convert various PDF files, easily & conveniently. My bank was not listed, so I followed the recommendation to leave the default. This is really an issue with quicken but this app has a lot fewer issues like this than the other apps I've tried. You should still double check for errors because nothing is 100%. I had to convert 3 years worth of statements when our company transitioned to QB. I was able to edit this, but overall I think it's a great product. I wanted to load historical 401(k) data, for a long-running account, to Quicken Mac. Not possible without using Quicken Windows; and then it required converting file formats; and a supporting bank. I had 10 years' CSV data downloaded from T. Rowe Price; had to convert to QIF for import to Quicken Windows; then try to export for Mac use.
