What do you like best about Epicor Propello?

Ease of use. Support personnel are prompt and knowledgeable. Allows us to do things in our small mom and pop hardware store that I previously was not able to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Epicor Propello?

Probably the toughest thing for us is the cost especially during the lean winter months in northern Michigan. Early on we ran into many times when the item price through Propello wasn't the same as the vendor (Do It Best) price. Like the files weren't fully downloading. This has mostly been rectified. What problems is Epicor Propello solving and how is that benefiting you?

The most prominent benefit initially was to be able to create shelf labels for all of our products. This allowed for better organization and merchandising within our store. This made the shopping experience better for our customers. It allowed for much better inventory control for us through use of reports and less out of stocks. It is helping us run a much leaner organization, identifying strengths and weaknesses in our mix. It has taken our old hardware store that was founded in 1882 and had allowed us access to the same tools that the big boys have. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Browser Navigation and an Intuitive, Straightforward POS"

What do you like best about Epicor Propello?

The POS is straightforward and intuitive. The Quick Find feature is very helpful for bulky or large items or those stored in a yard or backroom where you don't have a barcode to scan. Also helpful for bulk items or items by the piece (hardware, chain, rope, pipe, etc.) Easy to navigate the software in the browser to various areas to perform back end functions. What do you dislike about Epicor Propello?

Some of the reports require quite a bit of manipulation of the data in Excel in order to get the information you want. The regularly scheduled reports are nice but the information disappears (link no longer active) after a certain amount of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Epicor Propello solving and how is that benefiting you?

Biggest help is with inventory and pricing management. Prior to implementing Propello, the store when I purchased it was paper and pencil, if that. There was no inventory management to speak of and many loose items (think bins of plumbing and electric fittings, etc) had items with 2 or 3 different price tags from different orders over the years and a bin tag that may not have matched any of them! What do you like best about Epicor Propello?

Propello is very easy to learn and use. It gives us a lot of information that our old, outdated system simply couldn’t provide. Since it’s cloud-based, our managers and staff can access it from anywhere they have Wi‑Fi, which makes it much more convenient for day-to-day work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Epicor Propello?

Epicor Propello allows us to train our seasonal staff rapidly to prepare for our busy season. The ease of use allows our business to run more registers and shorter lines leading to a better customer experience at our store.
