Proofpoint email security solution giving us the better result on phishing email analysis, email security gateways. In our environment its implemented in a very efficient way so most of the time phishing, spoofed, and malicious attachment related emails automatically contained by Proofpoint itself. so we did need to provide any extra efforts to investigate it. The security and technology offered by Proofpoint is head and shoulders above our previous product. The intelligence and information employed and presented in the dashboards makes issues easily understandable and simple to action. The many functions such as TAP, TRAP, CLEAR etc, all help to create a clean and secure email landscape and the improvements in the product come through thick and fast. We use the interface every day and it's like second nature now and the customer support is second to none. What do you dislike about Proofpoint Core Email Protection? The many, many portals. Especially the old POD portal which is slow, cumbersome and hard to manage. Proofpoint has really helped to prevent BEC issues within our business as this is something we were really suffering with whilst with our previous product. The product is easy to implement, integrate and maintain. Once it's stood up, few adjustments are needed. My favorite thing is the balance provided between the end-user and the admins, emails flagged by Proofpoint can be released by the recipient or by the admins and easily flagged as safe if mislabeled as malicious. I think the digest gives too many options to the user to release spam emails. First the detection rates are top notch for both spam, phishing, and bulk email. Our users are not wasting time filtering through emails. The false positive rates are low and the system learns quicklyif we do get some. The URL detection is top notch and has protected us from a number of possible issues. Sometimes the pricing and licensing structure is hard to deal with. New features are sometimes "addons" and not just added to main product. This can be a pain if you want those features. ESP provides great security. Out of box deployment reduced our end user spam and risk delivery by an estimated 40%. AFter performing tuning and customization, we were able to reduce this number further to over 60%. customer support help is always very responsive. Proofpoint has done an incredible job blocking phish and spear phishing attacks. The amount of Spam and Phishing that gets trapped is amazing. The Spam filter is so good that most of our user started to report that they were not getting any spam in there spam folders. This product is simple and easy to use. When it comes to email security, this product is at the top of the market. What do you dislike about Proofpoint Core Email Protection? The one thing I do not like about the product is that there is no sort of SSO configuration. We can track down emails being sent from external users and create a log full of details relevant to our inquiry. For example, how many emails were sent by this one user? To whom have they sent this email to? Furthermore, by being able to track down the specific email, we can then use another Proofpoint Product (TRAP) to automatically pull those emails from user inboxes, thus ensuring that unwanted emails are removed from your environment for good. The least helpful item about Proofpoint is the lack of communication during a service outage or other issue that affects email delivery. Legal firms must handle alot of "non-business" emails such as gmail, outlook, etc. Proofpoint email security allows the firm to continue business without large security risks.
