"Quality, Diverse Studies with Clear Rewards and a User-Friendly Interface"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Prolific?

What I like most about Prolific is the speed with which I can recruit participants. With the variety of options for targeting, it becomes much easier to locate the right participants according to the necessary research criteria, compared to the process of participant recruitment without the use of Prolific. In addition, I would like to highlight the simplicity of the participant selection process, especially if it comes to locating certain demographics and experience levels. Finally, I would like to point out that Prolific has become a great option for integrating into the process of using the tools for research. In addition, the simplicity of the tool on the participant side is appreciated as well. Being a participant in some experiments, I easily manage to understand all the details of the process and the task to be performed. Thus, I have a clear idea of what the participant experiences in order to create my own studies in the same way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Prolific?

To be honest not a lot of negative but there is one thing which i dislike, that is certain specific participant needs will make the recruitment process much slower. In some cases, it may require some additional time for verification of the target audience and changing of criteria. Other than this I've has only positive experiences with prolific Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Prolific Delivers High-Quality Studies with Fair Pay and a Respectful, Transparent Experience"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Prolific?

What I like most about Prolific is how it prioritizes research quality over sheer volume. The studies generally have clear instructions, realistic completion times, and fair compensation compared to many other survey platforms. I also appreciate that participant screening happens before invitations are sent, which means I spend more time completing relevant studies instead of being disqualified after answering several questions. The platform feels organized, transparent, and respectful of participants’ time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Prolific?

One area that could be improved is study availability during peak hours, as opportunities can fill up very quickly. I would also like more detailed notifications or scheduling options so it’s easier to catch studies before they reach capacity. Aside from that, the platform has been reliable and easy to use. "Prolific Makes Research Participation Simple, Efficient, and Reliable"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Prolific?

Prolific has consistently offered me very interesting research studies, and participating in them has always felt productive. The UI is straightforward and simple; it includes a dashboard that lists recent studies, and there’s a payment dashboard as well. The eligibility screening also helps ensure the studies are relevant, which makes the overall experience more efficient and reliable than many other research platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Prolific?

One area where Prolific could improve is study availability, since the number of studies I’m eligible for can vary a lot depending on a participant’s demographics and location. Some higher-paying studies also fill up very quickly, which can make them hard to join in time. In addition, it would be helpful to see more detailed information upfront about each study’s requirements and expected workload before participating, so users can better judge which studies are the best fit for them. "Gold Standard for Reliable Research Data"
5/5
What do you like best about Prolific?

What I like best about Prolific is the exceptional data quality. As a researcher, it's critical to have confidence in my results. Prolific provides a pool of engaged, honest participants, and studies show it delivers higher quality data than other platforms, which means less time and money wasted on cleaning bad data . The platform makes it incredibly fast and easy to collect responses, with studies filling up in hours, and the flexible tools allow me to target the exact demographics I need . Ultimately, using Prolific gives me peace of mind and lets me focus on the research itself, knowing I'm working with reliable insights from the start. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Prolific?

What I dislike least about Prolific is the limited participant pool in certain niche demographics. While the platform excels in data quality, recruiting specific populations (e.g., left-handed bilingual engineers over 50) can take longer than expected. Occasionally, study slots fill up within minutes, which can be frustrating for time-sensitive research. Additionally, the pricing is slightly higher than competitors, though the quality justifies the cost. Lastly, I'd appreciate more customization options for pre-screening questions beyond their standard demographics. These are minor gripes, and Prolific remains my go-to platform overall. "Clear, Well-Organized Interface with Helpful Earnings Overview"
5/5
What do you like best about Prolific?

I love how clear and easy the interface is. It’s well organised, making it clear which studies are available, what type they are, etc. The submissions and earnings pages give a really clear overview of what you’ve completed/earned, and the top balance widget is so helpful to see your earnings at a glance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Prolific?

Sometimes studies show as available for a long time, even though they aren’t when you click on them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible, Well-Paid Studies and AI Training"
5/5
What do you like best about Prolific?

Prolific is very flexible. Whenever I log into the platform, there are plenty of studies available. I’ve also found that the more priority questions I answer, the more likely I am to be matched with studies that fit my requirements. The studies pay well, and the platform clearly shows the hourly rate, which makes it easy to decide what’s worth my time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Prolific?

Sometimes I’m able to log in, but there aren’t any studies available. When studies do show up, they fill up really fast, so I can end up waiting quite a while. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Outstanding Research Tasks, Responsive Support, and Smooth Onboarding"
5/5
What do you like best about Prolific?

The quality and variety of the research and annotation tasks are outstanding. The support team is also highly responsive, and the initial onboarding process clearly sets expectations, helping ensure projects run smoothly through to completion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Prolific?

Occasionally, when a technical issue comes up or a study submission is questioned, it can take some time to get a timely response from the researcher or the support team. A more streamlined, in-platform dispute resolution process would really help resolve these rare situations faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive, Easy-to-Navigate Platform for Applying to Research Studies"
4/5
What do you like best about Prolific?

The ease of navigation across the platform, the intuitiveness and how clear and simple it is when looking to apply or undertake in any research studies. I also think the layout is helpful in terms of enabling clarity on where to go if you need to update your profile, browse studies, get in contact, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Prolific?

More personalisation on the research available would be good. Overall improving availability or giving a heads up e.g. "keep an eye out next month for X type of research". Other information which would be extremely useful is giving a percentage likelihood of being accepted onto research based on competitiveness (number of applicants), profile compatibility, answers to screening questions. "Great Profile-Matched Studies, but Spots Fill Fast and Pay Can Vary"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Prolific?

It matches the surveys/studies to your profile, so you can tell whether you qualify for them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Prolific?

Sometimes they send out studies, but they fill up really quickly. Also, the compensation doesn’t always feel fair for the amount of work you do or the type of information you’re asked to provide. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Quick, Engaging Surveys with Fast, High-Paying Payouts"
5/5
What do you like best about Prolific?

It has quick, interesting surveys, and some of them pay well. Payouts are also fast. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Prolific?

Researchers can easily cheat participants by coming up with unprovable reasons for why they won’t pay for the submission you send. It ends up feeling like a researcher’s market, where as a participant there’s very little you can do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
