Payroll made simple. The customer support reps are amazing. First, they have excellent training and support. Our Account Manager, Belinda, always answers questions in a timely fashion and is very helpful. That said, Proliant also offers accounting support for payroll. For instance, they detected there was city tax that should be withheld that was not being withheld by our previous payroll company and they were able to address that issue, including getting us an account with that city. This was an extra fee, but it was small and well worth it. Their payroll site is easy to use and also they make it easy to transition from another provider. Our old provider, who is one of the larger payroll providers out there, continually made things a challenge, including failing to pay our withholding taxes on time and causing us fees. Once we switched, we never have had any issues again. This has now been about a year using Proliant. I am not planning on shopping this service in the near future. **What do you dislike about ProLiant?** Proliant is going to be a little more expensive than your giant well-known payroll providers, at least for a small business. However, as having left one of those large payroll providers (where I perpetually had issues), I am gladly paying the nominally greater price and would not have it any other way. **What problems is ProLiant solving and how is that benefiting you?** Proliant has solved all of our payroll problems, including faciliting timely direct deposit of employee checks, integrating our 401k plan, and making sure all of our payroll taxes are correct and up to date. We have employees in multiple states and municipalities. Having Proliant makes it easy to manage this. ### 3. It's extremely easy to onboard new employees. It's easy to look up employee information and payroll is a snap (if you have everything together that needs to be changed). The end user interface on the mobile device is easy to use as well. I use it almost every day to run different reports and to check on employee's time records. **What do you dislike about ProLiant?** In my opinion, Proliant is easy to use, however, there are multiple downsides. The sales representative had asured us that if we went with them, everything that we were doing could be implemented in Proliant. We came to find out, with the implementation specialist that was not true. There were multiple reports that we no longer had access to, that we did have in our old systems. If you are an administrator but do not have access to all of the payroll, then you no longer have access to different types of reports (New Hire reports, terminations, etc.) The Time and Labor system does not talk to the RPO system and the PTO balances cannot only be tracked in the Time and Labor system, it has to be tracked in the RPO system and then it filters down, but you have to look in 2 separate places for it. **What problems is ProLiant solving and how is that benefiting you?** Proliant solved the problem that we had with our old time and attendance system. The system would freeze and then employee's time was not properly tracked. With Proliant, we have not had any issues with the clocks freezing or employees unable to clock in. ### 9. The team who helped do the integrations was excellent. Payroll day has turned from a 3-4 hour ordeal to a quick 1 hour process on payroll day. **What do you dislike about ProLiant?** I'm not a huge fan of the reports. The simple work around had been to import the data from several reports and create my own. **What problems is ProLiant solving and how is that benefiting you?** Simplified the payroll process. ### 39. When you go to see your last check - it doesn't provide much until you actually print it. The print out is very good. I'm actually hunting for reports as I don't know what they are called - I don't know if that is a Proliant issue or an internal issue as I never received any OTJ training. It was basically, here are a few things to know about and then I was left to my own accord. **What problems is ProLiant solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have no idea what purposes other than payroll we use Proliant - but I'm sure we use other listed as we do annual reviews in Proliant and I believe we have Core HR and do some onboarding as well. ### 40. It's very user friendly. It has the time clock option or you can enter straight payroll hours. The property that I use this on, has seaonal workers. It's very easy to add a new employee or to termination seaonal workers. You can pull payroll reports that provide the correct information for the yearly workers comp repports and insurance rates. I would highly recommend this system for payroll processing! **What do you dislike about ProLiant?** Locating non frequent accounting reports is diffcult due to the naming. **Recommendations to others considering ProLiant:** Work with your consultant and test before going live. **What problems is ProLiant solving and how is that benefiting you?** We had swtiched over for on board Direct deposit. This has been a major benefit for both accounting and employees. The on boarding for a new employee is so easy now. Automaticlly doing I-9 background checks. Actually had one employee that found someone else was using his social security number with this process. That alone is a major win for using Proliant. ### 41. It is very straight forward with actions that need to be taken. The support team is incredibly helpful and always assists very quickly. **What do you dislike about ProLiant?** It doesn't integrate into all of my individual health insurance plans, meaning I still have to go in and manage the health insurance plans myself. I have worked with other plans that do that work for you. **What problems is ProLiant solving and how is that benefiting you?** They are currently assisting me with our onboarding presentation, getting that set up, including all covid protocols and proper paperwork that is involved in the onboarding process. We are moving to a movie platform for onboarding employees and they have been quick to give suggestions. ### 42. Proliant is easy to use. Employees love all the features. We can run all the reports ourselves instead of always asking someone at the payroll company. Once everything was set up properly, the function is working fine. **What problems is ProLiant solving and how is that benefiting you?** We used another large prominent payroll company and we had constant problems/complaints. It is easy and intuitive and our accountant loves us for using Proliant! When we run payroll, the payments are in the employees' bank accounts by the next morning. Proliant offers solutions for every payroll issue and allows us to keep everything about our employees in one place. The support staff is also incredibly helpful. We have an assigned customer service rep, Anthea, who is on top of everything! Despite the ease of using this system, early on, I made a mistake. I called Anthea and she was able to stop the transaction before it hit the bank and I could re-do it. I cannot say enough about how much we appreciate Proliant and the vital service they provide. Proliant does put People First! **What do you dislike about ProLiant?** There are no down sides that we can see. I have spoken with our CPA and our accountant as well as the owner of our business and several employees, and they all agree. The downside is that we judge all of the other programs we use in our office by the standard set by Proliant, and no one measures up! **What problems is ProLiant solving and how is that benefiting you?** Handling our payroll, payroll taxes and other vital steps in running a successful business. Benefits have never been easier and involved so little paper! **What do you dislike about ProLiant?** As with any new software/program, there were bumps along the way with integration, but our specialist took the time to help us. Training on the different modules could be a little more company-specific than general, but you can ask for a second training when you are in the software, so it all works out. I would like things to be more all-in-one, living on the dashboard for an at-a-glance view instead of opening different modules in different tabs to view the PTO, Expense, Benefits, etc., information. **What problems is ProLiant solving and how is that benefiting you?** Proliant gave us an all-in-one solution to all that HR was handling and the employee needed.
