A widget that walks you through an employee set up step by step would be helpful. Features included are robust enough to compete with other much more pricier HRISs. Integration with Employee Navigator and I believe some other benefits portals too. **What do you dislike about ProLiant?** Lots of hiccups and roadblocks that took longer than expected to get over during time and labor setup. Things as simple as a working PTO system were not working out of box, granted maybe because it was due to our custom policies. The backend system is a bit of a nightmare since they don't seem to own the development of it; it seems to be another vendor's system. In the end, they worked hand-in-hand with us to get our benefits integrations and PTO working. **What problems is ProLiant solving and how is that benefiting you?** Insane price hikes by other HRIS providers which is self explanatory. The report writer is a great asset to have access to. We have easily created several custom reports in a very short period. The customer service team is great. If we have any questions or system issues, they are available. Training courses are available in both live sessions and prerecorded. Having access to the prerecorded sessions is great for new and current employees. The implementation team was great to work with. They did all the heavy lifting to get the system up and running. We have integrations with our timeclock system, benefits, Paycard and our ERP solution. We even have early wage access for our employees. **What do you dislike about ProLiant?** The report descriptions are sometimes confusing. Therefore, you may have to run a few diferent standard reports to find the one that produces the information you are looking for. If the standard reports do not produce the information we need, we create our own with the report writer. **Recommendations to others considering ProLiant:** Proliant offers several modules, such as Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, and WOTC. I would suggest setting up all the modules that your company plans to use simultaneously. **What problems is ProLiant solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have direct integration with our ERP solution, which is great. It has eliminated the need to export and import a journal entry. It also auto balances the journal entry for us. We have several locations that borrow employees, and we enter our payroll costs at the location level. Having the employee self-service portal has been a great way for us to communicate with all of our employees at the same time since we don't have a company intranet. Proliant does all our tax filings each quarter and year end along with the Work Opportunity Tax Credits and W-2 filings. ProLiant also intergrates with the system we use for employee benefits and our 401(k) plan. Both of these intergrations ensure that deductions for benefits are correct and the timely deposits of contributed funds to our 401(k). ### 18. Their implementation and customer service team are both very helpful, and willing to jump in and assist at a moment's notice. There were some snags with the implementation, but even when those issues arose we felt supported by the customer service team. **What do you dislike about ProLiant?** I wish some of the employee interfaces were more customizable from an administrator end, specifically when adding new employees or trying to see the quick view of employee information. We use ReadyTime/punching in and out, and all of the system updates throw off our employees and timecards as they are unable to clock in and out when the system is updating. **What problems is ProLiant solving and how is that benefiting you?** Having the HR systems and time and attendance systems fully integrated is beneficial, I wish the scheduling piece was up and running. ### 25. I have worked with different payroll companies in the past and generally speaking they are all pretty equal on the services offered within their respective systems. In my experience, it's the customer service that the company provides when there is an issue that sets them apart from the rest. Proliant has passed this test and provided very good customer service. **What do you dislike about ProLiant?** I believe onboarding was a little more overwhelming than it needed to be with the onboarding excel spreadsheets. I am used to seeing that in my position, however, if you are working with someone new to payroll administration (which someone in our organization was) then it was a bit overwhelming to say the least. First, they have excellent training and support. Our Account Manager, Belinda, always answers questions in a timely fashion and is very helpful. That said, Proliant also offers accounting support for payroll. For instance, they detected there was city tax that should be withheld that was not being withheld by our previous payroll company and they were able to address that issue, including getting us an account with that city. This was an extra fee, but it was small and well worth it. Their payroll site is easy to use and also they make it easy to transition from another provider. Our old provider, who is one of the larger payroll providers out there, continually made things a challenge, including failing to pay our withholding taxes on time and causing us fees. Once we switched, we never have had any issues again. This has now been about a year using Proliant. I am not planning on shopping this service in the near future. **What do you dislike about ProLiant?** Proliant is going to be a little more expensive than your giant well-known payroll providers, at least for a small business. However, as having left one of those large payroll providers (where I perpetually had issues), I am gladly paying the nominally greater price and would not have it any other way. **What problems is ProLiant solving and how is that benefiting you?** Proliant has solved all of our payroll problems, including faciliting timely direct deposit of employee checks, integrating our 401k plan, and making sure all of our payroll taxes are correct and up to date. We have employees in multiple states and municipalities. Having Proliant makes it easy to manage this. ### 47.
