It would be good to see an hourly burn stacked against a fixed fee project to determine the gain or loss. If this could be compared to the remaining overall fee it would be helpful. If it divided the remaining fixed fee across the remaining months and gave a monthly average remaining fee with corresponding hours for personnel assigned to the project it would be helpful. Projectworks makes it really easy to manage projects because everything like time tracking, billing, and budgets is in one place. The timesheet is simple, so the team can log hours without confusion, which helps in correct invoicing. One thing I feel is missing is smart AI features, as most planning and forecasting still needs to be done manually instead of getting helpful suggestions from the system. We sync ProjectWorks with Xero. Leave, invoices, and payments can only be exported once. If any of these need to be edited in either platform after export, the same change then has to be manually updated in the other platform as well. I love Projectworks for its time tracking and invoicing capabilities. I can easily adjust time codes and assign blocks of time to invoices, as well as adjust billable hours and track budgets. I love that it is web-based and can be accessed anywhere on any device. Resourcing is input intensive and not easy to keep up to date as day-to-day workloads change. As a New Zealand-based company, there's no concept of paid overtime or time off in lieu of overtime (TOIL) integrated into Projectworks, making it difficult to track and report this to Xero. We have to manually calculate TOIL and input this data into Xero. Additionally, the timesheet and time columns are in HH:MM format, but Xero and most other programs use decimal hours. It would be really helpful to have the ability to choose between HH:MM and decimal hours. Also, the ability to send overtime hours or TOIL hours to Xero is needed. I also don't like that the price is going up 17% and we just have to accept that and move on. I can see why it has gone up, I still think it is worth it, I'm still happy. But how many price hikes will I sustain and still be happy? I'm not sure. You should communicate and consult with your userbase for price-hikes well in excess of inflation. The custom reporting in Projectworks, while powerful, requires a learning curve. You almost need a data analysis mindset to use it for complex tasks. Also, the mobile app is really basic. I like being able to see our every month financial forecasts quickly and see how our team is being worked and how much time it takes to complete each task. I like Projectworks because its UI is great and makes my work more enjoyable. I also find the project linking works very well, allowing me to connect tasks efficiently. Additionally, the utilization tracking is fantastic for keeping an eye on team performance. In the timesheet view, I'm able to open a new tab for a project and see a breakdown of the fiscal progress, which is incredibly helpful.
