"Real-Time Budget Tracking and Flexible Reporting"

What do you like best about Projectworks?

The real-time project status is very helpful, since we can quickly see how much budget is left, especially for clients with strict budgets. The customizable reports are also nice, as long as you have the knowledge to build a report.

What do you dislike about Projectworks?

I find the onboarding part a bit limited in terms of what you can enter. I hope it can be integrated with other HR platforms aside from Bamboo. We currently use Hibob, and it would be quicker and easier if the two were connected to reduce manual input.

The customized reporting feature could also be improved to make it more user-friendly. Right now, the process can be difficult to navigate, especially for users who don’t typically use BI tools.

Also, the invoicing part feels very limited since it’s basically just sending an email. I hope there’s an option to set up automated follow-up emails, especially for overdue invoices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Projectworks solving and how is that benefiting you?

Projectworks helps us maintain an overall view of project health, especially in tracking projects that may be going over budget. It also provides good visibility of resource allocation, including identifying employees who are currently on the bench, which is helpful for forecasting and planning.

"Great Features and Processes"

What do you like best about Projectworks?

The transition from using the forecasting tool to being able to prepare an invoice.

I also like the access level settings and being able to create these to align with staffing groups. Setting up custom fields is another feature I like. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Projectworks?

The data migration wasn't exceptionally smooth, so we have had to make a lot of adjustments and still come across invoices not assigned to the correct budgets etc.

Another thing I struggle with is some of the limiting filters, especially in the time entries tab - it would be beneficial for us to be able to filter by Budget.

A stronger search function. All of our projects start with 80XXX - would be good to be able to search for XXX and the project to pop up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy-to-Use Platform for Timesheet Tracking and Leave Management"

What do you like best about Projectworks?

It’s very easy to add time logs for the tasks I complete during the day. The interface is very user-friendly, which makes the tool much easier to use overall. One thing I dislike about Projectworks is that, as a standard user, the functionality can feel somewhat limited. Most of the available features are focused mainly on logging time and leave, so there is not much flexibility or visibility beyond the basic day-to-day tasks. It helps solve the problem of tracking work hours, leave, and project-related time in a centralized system. What do you dislike about Projectworks?

One of my pet pieves is the integration with Employment Hero when it comes to leave, it needs some refining ie. it only recognises full days, not part days of leave. Another one is that you are not able to add suppliers manually, they sync from xero to PWs but only ones these have bills associated with them, so items reconciled as a spend doesn't pull through as a supplier per se. "We are improving the way we use Project Works"

What do you like best about Projectworks?

What do you dislike about Projectworks?

Some settings don't appear in the most intuitive locations; however the support function is useful and with more time using the system it does become second nature. It would be helpful to be able to run a simple workload forecast based on the number employees , remaining hours / budget remaining. The dashboard feature could be improved. What problems is Projectworks solving and how is that benefiting you?

We've found Project Works' in-house consultant (Craig Dalley) fantastic to work with. Craig is assisting us with optimising the environment specifically for our company, and has provided valuable insight on how to improve efficiency across timesheets, budget and timecode setup, user permissions, invoicing and data capture. We are in the process of standardising our processes using Craigs help. We expect to have a better view on how PW functions once this is complete, in 2-3 months.
