## ProjectWise Reviews
  ### 1. Good secure platform for project files management and sharing

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sumukha B. | Electrical Engineer, Design, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2023

**What do you like best about ProjectWise?**

Its highly secure, tons of options for file management, information storage and support multiple types of data including direct integration with Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit softwares for direct and easier access and management.

**What do you dislike about ProjectWise?**

Its difficult to use, little complicated UI and require sign in everytime dor added security which is kinda annoying. Moreover each data sources need seperate authentication and access too.

**What problems is ProjectWise solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use ProjectWise for project files/documents/drawings management, review and sharing with the clients. Some of the classified projects are required by clients to use this secure platform for managing files and sharing.

  ### 2. This being a Bentley product is slow to open Autodesk drawings.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rezwan K. | Utility Coordinator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2022

**What do you like best about ProjectWise?**

Once you get a hang of the workspace its a good product to control usage of data.

**What do you dislike about ProjectWise?**

The really slow opening of AutoCAD drawings.

**What problems is ProjectWise solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When a group of global team members are working on a multi-billion dollar project it helps to keep important documents on track and helps define how specific files are to be used.

  ### 3. Multitasking program

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mahmoud o. | Mechanical Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2021

**What do you like best about ProjectWise?**

It is easy to use, showing all the details for any file " purpose, progress, who uploaded, who updated, status, date ". Very helpful tool to keep on track the progress of your project

**What do you dislike about ProjectWise?**

Very very very slow, taking too much time to download, upload specially if the file is heavy. We can estimate that you as a user will have to waste 20% of your time just for that which is really uncomfortable

**What problems is ProjectWise solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Drafting drawings, uploading trackers, signing documents and reports.

The biggest benefit is that you keep track of everything and anything which is very helpful in big scale projects.

  ### 4. PWDI is a must for big companies and projects.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Civil Engineering | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2020

**What do you like best about ProjectWise?**

Managing users via different criteria and fast plot of whole projects.

**What do you dislike about ProjectWise?**

The time to understand how it works and to change colleagues mindsets so they can appreciate the benefits of the software.

**What problems is ProjectWise solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fast plot, user management, attributes editing without the need to open files.

  ### 5. Good data sharing platform

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2019

**What do you like best about ProjectWise?**

--- It is a great way to organize files in one place
--- Ability to share data anywhere in the world
--- Because of workflows and automation; the aspects of the sheet creation process is a huge time saver

**What do you dislike about ProjectWise?**

--- Sometimes, it takes more time to load files
--- It can be a little confusing to use at first

**What problems is ProjectWise solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's good for us to increase collaboration speed and quality of information exchange between our various departments (i.e. Design, Purchase and Engineering). It's quite easy for design team to access & share designs and get it timely approved. Once it's approved, Procurement team will get a notification and as per approved design, they start working on supplier and bid management. Engineering team is able to manage entire project team as per approved design / model and also able to keep track of your contractor's and labor's work reports with daily logs.

  ### 6. Terrific idea, mediocre performance

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Evan M. | Staff Professional I, Civil Engineering, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 03, 2019

**What do you like best about ProjectWise?**

It's an excellent way to connect an entire company together and put all their data housed under one roof. Multiple offices or regions and can access each others client's information, projects and data simply by navigating through the same interface. File organization is very similar to your typical Windows explorer display and operates similarly. Recovering files, running audits and scans on project folders is a helpful tool included as well.

**What do you dislike about ProjectWise?**

My experience led to slow performance of our major design projects. It was difficult to work on projects that were complicated in nature and had multiple files and folders and data associated to them within the projectwise network. the software is heavily reliant on your internet speed as well. If your office or company does not have decent internet speed, then your connection to projectwise documents will be slower because of it; keep this in mind if you have remote workers at their homes instead of the office as well.

**Recommendations to others considering ProjectWise:**

I would first consider the size and complexity of your project before using projectwise. If you have several large files and copious amounts of data thats tied to the project, combined with the complexity of your team and who will be involved. That could determine if using a software is right for you. However, the program is easy to use and adapt to.

**What problems is ProjectWise solving and how is that benefiting you?**

its a great way to share files between teams that are separated, or if multiple teams are working on the same project.

  ### 7. Great on paper, frustrating in practice

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike H. | GIS Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2019

**What do you like best about ProjectWise?**

Automated single source of truth alignment - the same document can be shared and worked with by multiple people, with recorded editing and versioning.
The ability to open new CAD and other documents directly from a prescribed template.

**What do you dislike about ProjectWise?**

Clunky and overly complex menu and interface.
Lack of direct interface with GIS software.
Multiple methods of doing the same thing are confusing
Uploading document menu has many windows and can be slow.

**Recommendations to others considering ProjectWise:**

Be wary of using ProjectWise for multi-disciplinary projects, the software works well with CAD and .pdfs, but not with all other packages such as GIS.

**What problems is ProjectWise solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Meeting BIM requirements on large projects, partcwhere multiple organisations need to access and work together in one environment.
