"Honest Review | WhatsUp Gold"
5/5
What do you like best about Progress WhatsUp Gold?

What I like best about Progress WhatsUp Gold is its clean and intuitive user interface — it makes network monitoring feel less overwhelming, even when dealing with complex environments. The ability to quickly visualize network topology and spot issues through interactive maps is really helpful. I also appreciate how customizable the alerts and dashboards are — it gives me control without being buried in configuration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Progress WhatsUp Gold?

One thing I dislike about WhatsUp Gold is that the initial setup can feel a bit heavy, especially when integrating with other systems or customizing advanced alerts. Some of the configuration options aren’t always intuitive and require digging through documentation or trial and error. Also, the licensing model can be a bit limiting depending on the number of devices you want to monitor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Cost effective and ease Tool"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Progress WhatsUp Gold?

WhatsUp Gold is easy to use, understand, and deploy. The licensing is flexible, scalable, and cost-effective. During an upgrade issue with our old scripts, the support team went above and beyond by staying past their support hours and even brought in additional engineers to help fix the problem. With new features like NTA+ and WhatsUp Gold 360, the tool now offers more advanced network performance monitoring and diagnostics, giving users better control and flexibility. What do you dislike about Progress WhatsUp Gold?

Nothing to dislike this app as of now. It is super Ease to use and various number of features available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"They refuse to honor perpetual license purchased just before the world went to subscriptions."
1/5
What do you like best about Progress WhatsUp Gold?

Product is pretty good; however, their developers and support people and sales people are all in distictly different areas and it is painfully obvious. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Progress WhatsUp Gold?

They sell a perpetual license but then want extremely high priced "support," renewals, which includes patches and updates. You buy a perpetual license, but can't get updates without paying for the support contract, and their support people do not know the software at all, so the support contract is useless except needed for patches.
