What do you like best about Progress WhatsUp Gold?

The support that you receive is A+. They show care in assisting and answering every question that a customer may have. Somebody addresses my issue every time quickly and respectively. A great feature is the maintance mode that allows notes to be left. This is a great thing to prevent our NOC from reporting device issues for something that is already known and being addressed. What do you dislike about Progress WhatsUp Gold?

I wish there were more built-in monitoring tools for fiber SFPs. Annual Training/ refresher of the product and its capabalities at time of renewal. This would not need to be very long but would be great fo thoes team members who hardly manage the product. I am currently unaware of any device minipulation ability from WUG but if so that would be a nice feature. I am aware of the real-time monitoring but if switch commands could be ran from the product that may benefit our NOC. In addition to features that could be supported on mobile devices for field use. I currently have to loginto a hotspot to mark a device as maintance and that is sometimes not always easy to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Progress WhatsUp Gold solving and how is that benefiting you?

The product gives much real-time up/ down status along with the history of device status. It also includes vital information about the device environment. It solves the critical business problem of needing essential real-time monitoring. We are always looking for ways to use more of the product to assint in our network monitoring needs. The product's customization also allows it to be very specific to our environment. We try to make the finctions of our NOC very easy and becasue of the tools customizations and places for notes it allows for easy information gathering that also helps to eliminate down time.
