## Progress Telerik Reviews
  ### 1. Progress (Telerik) Winforms/Blazor 2026

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris M. | Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

Having used both the WinForms and Blazor UI packages for a few years now, the great thing about that (plus all of the additional packages that I have access to) is the ease of implementation and the support/documentation (which is extensive to say the least). Pretty much everything has a mini-demo which makes it easy to utilise that particular component. Due to the subscription I'm on, the customer support for tickets is usually 24 hours - I've had to contact them a few times over the years when I was querying rather obscure issues and the team are more than happy to generate projects to try and replicate the problem or will suggest code snippets for me to try (which usually fixes the issue). Overall, very happy with everything they offer and they show no sign of slowing down with updates etc.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

There have only been 1 or 2 instances where what I have been trying to achieve has not been possible (due to how a particular component has been built, but usually they will take what I am asking for into consideratioon for a future build), but apart from that I can't think of anything negative to say about what they offer.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to build an entire solution around their UI packages allow me to focus on building the business solutions into the code without having to worry about creating the visual elements from scratch - it saves weeks (if not months) of time.

  ### 2. Versatile reporting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yolanda C. | Co Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

I use Progress Telerik to create reports included in applications and appreciate it for its ease of use, performance, and versatility. I especially value the UI controls available for MVC, WebForms, Angular, and Blazor as they cater to a wide range of needs. The initial setup was very easy, which made the transition to using it smooth.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

I think documentation could be improved with more advanced use cases and scenarios. Some features of the products are not available in the documentation, for example, some advanced databinding features for Reporting.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Progress Telerik to create reports included in applications, solving the need to display data with a predefined document standard.

  ### 4. Modernize the applications with Fluent, but with some difficulties

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrea P. | Senior developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

I use Progress Telerik to modernize my Windows applications. It allows me to enhance the aesthetic appearance of applications that are many years old. I appreciate the support for the latest Microsoft styles, particularly Fluent, as I can give my applications a modern look that follows Microsoft's Fluent guidelines.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Although the support for Fluent is good, it is not perfect and differs slightly between Windows Forms and WPF.

I use Progress Telerik to modernize my Windows applications and improve the aesthetic appearance by following Microsoft's Fluent guidelines.

  ### 5. Comprehensive Component Set for Seamless Development

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Frank B. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

I appreciate Progress Telerik's extensive choice of components that we can seamlessly use across Blazor, MAUI, and WinForms applications. This singular set of components streamlines our workflow by eliminating the need to learn different component sets for each platform. This consistency not only saves valuable time but also ensures that our applications benefit from the robust features Telerik offers, such as the flexible data grid in Blazor, which supports sorting, column switching, and fixing. The extensive demo apps provided by Telerik have been invaluable in getting up to speed with the toolset. Utilizing Progress Telerik since 2010, I've experienced how it continuously helps us in crafting high-quality custom software. I also value the supplier's commitment to simplicity while maintaining high-quality components.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Learning a new component set takes time, as you do not know all the components and their properties, which can be challenging at the beginning.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Progress Telerik for Blazor, MAUI, and WinForms applications. It consolidates our component sets, reducing the need to learn multiple tools and includes components that solve specific problems, like the datagrid in Blazor for sorting and switching columns.

I use Progress Telerik for web app development, benefiting from its high-functionality and flexible controls that ensure a consistent look and behavior. The wide range of controls, including file uploads, QR codes, and charts, enhances my development process.

  ### 7. Top notch controls to use in business apps

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luis F. | Software Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

Telerik provides a long list of very rich UI controls beyond the basic, with high extensibility, customization and a variety of functionality we use in almost all web enterprise applications with Visual Studio.

The downside we have found is some issues when versioning with GitHub apps with Telerik, with have to clarity by now how to overcome.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The development of web applications with rich interfaces in a short time with a unified visual style

  ### 8. Over a Decade of Reliable, High-Quality UI Components

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brendan O. | Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

Telerik’s components—both the original AJAX suite and the newer Kendo UI—have always been rock-solid, well-documented, and feature-rich. They save me countless hours on front-end development and make it easy to deliver polished, professional-looking applications. The Telerik Grid, in particular, is incredibly powerful and customizable. I also ap

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Nothing really! There’s a bit of a learning curve when moving between suites (e.g., from AJAX to Kendo UI), and occasionally the documentation could be clearer for edge cases or advanced configurations. Licensing costs can add up for smaller teams, but the value delivered still justifies the investment.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Progress Telerik helps solve the challenge of building rich, responsive, and user-friendly interfaces without reinventing the wheel. Their component libraries dramatically reduce development time by providing ready-made, customizable UI elements—especially for complex features like data grids, forms, scheduling, charts, and file uploads.

In our case, this has translated into faster project delivery, consistent UI/UX across modules, and lower long-term maintenance. The components integrate well with both legacy Web Forms and modern JavaScript frameworks, which is particularly valuable in our environment where we support both. Their tools help us focus on business logic instead of getting bogged down by front-end complexities.

  ### 9. Great Support, but a Slightly Steep Learning Curve

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

I really like that there are plenty of usage examples for each component, which makes it easier to get started. The implementation with Angular is also very smooth, and I use it daily in my projects. It’s very rare that I can’t find a component I need — there seems to be a solution for almost every use case. However, if I need to customize something beyond the basic examples, I usually need to reach out to support. I haven’t really used third-party integrations yet, so I can’t comment on that.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Some components have a slightly steep learning curve, especially when it comes to more advanced customizations. Also, the price can feel a bit high for smaller teams or projects.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me develop applications faster by providing ready-to-use and well-designed components. It also ensures code standardization across the project and avoids unnecessary duplication of components. This saves a lot of development time and helps keep the codebase clean and maintainable. Updating to a new version is very simple, and there are frequent updates that keep the library improving over time.

  ### 10. Progress Telerik's suite of controls are great and their support team can be very helpful

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

Telerik's products and support are quite good. They have a large suite of controls that we use and when you engage their support, you don't have to wait too long for a response. They have extensive documentation, so it is relatively easy to get started and to add controls you may not have used in the past in an existing project. I really like the fact that their support often creates sample projects for you to test out their solution to your problem.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Like most things, if you want something very out-of-the-box, it can be hit or miss. Sometimes, Telerik has the solution and engaging their support early-on has been very beneficial. Other times, it is a known issue or limitation, and you can tell it is not likely to be fixed in the near future. It is disappointing to get that news, but at least their support is very responsive and lets you know quite quickly. Sometimes they have a control that you find really useful but unfortunately it is not used by many and so does not get the attention you would like (in terms of making it better and easier to integrate into your project).

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are created extensive component libraries for both desktop and web applications that we use in our products. They are continuously improving on their products and adding new components. They have good documentation and demos which are very useful in both the planning and implementing stages. And when we get stuck, their support team has often gotten us un-stuck. We have also used their document generation libraries and report generation libraries.

  ### 11. I use the product in almost all my projects

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dariusz L. | Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

thethe vastness of available controls and the quantity of guides and examples to view both for web forms and for the ASP part

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

The first disadvantage for users is the price of the suite. For a developer working alone, it's a bit high.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I found myself faced with a problem, I opened a ticket related to the problem and in a short time I received a response from Telerik with the solutions and examples.

  ### 12. A solid suite of native components with good coverage for common UI needs

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthías Leó T. | Software Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

Kendo provides a wide range of flexible components available across the most popular web frameworks, and they integrate seamlessly into our Vue 3 applications. Whenever I’ve run into issues and reached out to customer support, they’ve been quick to respond within the promised timeframe and provided clear, helpful solutions.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

My biggest issue with Kendo-Vue right now is the broken event type support. As a TypeScript user, I’m not a fan of being forced into using a generic catch-all for event handlers. The documentation also feels crowded and difficult to navigate, with examples that are often too basic to cover real-world scenarios. Additionally, the website could use a refresh — the layout feels bulky, the fonts are oversized, and the high-contrast color scheme (dark blue/white/red) is a bit straining on the eyes.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Developing financial applications with lots of tabular data (virtual grids) and excel file handling, most of our UI is built with Vue 3 using Progress Telerik components.

  ### 13. Reliable development toolkit that saves tons of coding time!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prita C. | Senior Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

Telerik makes front end and UI development much faster. The pre built components look modern and professional, so I don’t have to spend hours styling or debugging small things. The integration with .NET and Visual Studio is smooth and stable, which really speeds up project delivery.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Some updates break older projects or need a few tweaks to work again. The documentation could be a bit clearer in places, especially when using newer components.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It cuts down repetitive coding and helps us deliver consistent interfaces across multiple projects. We can focus more on logic instead of layout and UI bugs. The time saved on front-end work easily translates into faster turnaround for clients.

  ### 14. Outstanding UI Components with Telerik's RadGrid and RadMultiColumnComboBox

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John P. | UI/UX Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

Telerik continues to set the standard for high-performance UI controls, and RadGrid and RadMultiColumnComboBox are prime examples of why developers consistently trust their tools.

RadGrid: Feature-Rich and Incredibly Flexible

•	The RadGrid is a powerhouse for data presentation. It supports an impressive suite of features including sorting, filtering, grouping, and paging—all out of the box.
•	Customization is effortless. Whether you're integrating templates, enabling inline editing, or setting up custom command buttons, RadGrid delivers intuitive flexibility.
•	Performance is top-notch. Even with complex datasets, the grid remains snappy and responsive.
•	The support for data-binding options (like declarative and programmatic) makes it versatile across various architectures.

RadMultiColumnComboBox: A Beautiful Data-Driven Dropdown

•	This control combines the best of a grid and a combo box, allowing users to search and select from structured data with multiple columns.
•	It's highly customizable in look and behavior, making it easy to match your application’s style.
•	With its built-in filtering, virtualization, and keyboard navigation, it dramatically enhances the user experience for selection-heavy interfaces.
•	It’s particularly useful when simple dropdowns fall short—like when displaying items with multiple fields (e.g., product name, SKU, and price).

Final Thoughts: Together, RadGrid and RadMultiColumnComboBox provide developers with powerful building blocks for enterprise-level applications. Whether you're aiming for high usability or robust data management, these controls make the job faster and the outcome more polished.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Nothing, Telerik provides the perfect balance of form and function for third-party controls.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

From UI/UX Architect perspective, Telerik provides the perfect third-party controls.

  ### 15. Possibly the best UI library for Blazor

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin B. | Application Development Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

They have an incredible selection of controls. I have yet to find something that I've needed that they don't have. There are so many additional controls that I haven't needed yet, but I see value it all they do.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

The price is a bit high. If you're not going to use a lot of the product then it may be worth looking elsewhere. Also, there are no free templates to get you started.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can quickly generate dynamic user interfaces.

  ### 16. Great out of the box

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mia C. | Full Stack Web Development Teaching Assistant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

The best part about Kendo React UI besides the components themselves is the Support.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

There's still a few lingering bugs our team has pointed out. For a paid product, I was surprised there were several bugs we found while trying to implement a few different components.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kendo React UI allows us to spin up UI updates and new features much more quickly than "hand-rolled" frontend code.

  ### 17. Good products and great support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Diego B. | Software architects, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

A complete, stable, and professional set of components.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

The product release cycle does not always bring new features. Some products have gaps that have not been addressed for a long time.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It accelerates my development, and my products are highly professional and enterprise-grade.

  ### 18. Almost 20 years of using it does not wrong

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** ilan m. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

The wide range of controls cover almost every need of the systems we build, from public sites to admin side.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Honestly, there is not much not to like, they have a great product as well as great support team.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before we start using Telerik controls. we spent a lot of time and resources on building controls ourselves, which were lower quality and more expensive than Telerik control proved to be.

  ### 19. Very helpful tools and well documented

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adriana M. | Senior software developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

I am using the UI controls from telerik for WPF. I like the documentation, you can find most of the things you need in the documentation. All the controls look modern. At work we are using Fluent theme that i like very much.
I love that telerik provides a lot of examples and solutions to common cases and when you have complicated scenarios you can fill a ticket to customer support.
All controls are easy to use in the company solution and we are using them all the time.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

i like everything.
Some performance improvements for big data would be good

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

use nice looking controls with minimal effort.

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

The huge amount of components we can use. Our client(s) really loves that. Is is easy to use and implement and integrate.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Nothing to mention here. All is working as expected.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

That depends. For now is it solving the issue of having a lot of components you need to maintain. With Telerik, all is there.

  ### 21. Powerful UI controls that saves time and effort.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nathan H. | Front End Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

Our team used Progress Telerik UI for Blazor to develop an internal web based dashboard for tracking business analytics in client’s laundry and dry cleaning operations. I like it’s pre built UI components, which significantly reduces development time. The Data Grid with build-in sorting, filtering and packaging works seamlessly with our database, which allows us to display large amount of data efficiently. Also, the Charting library helped us visualise revenue trends without needing extra tools.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

The learning curve was significantly steeper for first time user compared to other competitors in the market. Also, integration with third-party API is like SendGrid required extra customisation that was not straightforward.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Progress Telerik is an excellent choice for developers looking to speed up UI development with feature rich and customisable components. Now our team spend less time debugging UI issues since the component are well optimised and tested. Also, their well structured documentation makes it easier for new developers to onboard.

They do provide a rich set of controls to build both modern and responsive applications to covers a wide range of frameworks.
They provide outstanding customer service.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Their devcraft toolset offering has a rather steep entry point price for beginner shops considering license purchase.
Integration of license key registration could be painful.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building controls which which enhance look and feel of pages. These tools are great providers for developer productivity.

  ### 23. I am liking using the Telerik Controls, especially Kendo UI is amazing.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

The only problem i noticed is the online documentation. Sometimes it is hard to find the item I want among different packages, i had to use bookmarks for the API sections and UI samples to find them easily.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As I mentioned earlier one of the apps I was involved in its development was related to health coaching management and for the scheduling part, i used Telerik scheduling UI .

  ### 25. Excellent UI components but some improvements needed

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lucas M. | Senior Data Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

My team used Telerik UI for ASP.NET Core to build a vendor management portal for tracking vendor performance and managing payments. The Data Grid component was extremely powerful which allows us to implement real time filtering, shorting and grouping without much custom logic. Also it's build in authentication and role management simplified user permission to great extent.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

We tried to integrate Telerik UI into our customer billing system, aiming to improve the user interface. But the default themes looked significantly outdated and memory usage was high when handling large datasets which leads to performance lags.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Despite few issues, Progress Telerik has greatly improved our billing systems usability, making it easier for employees to process payments quickly. It's ready-made UI components allowed us to launch the systems 2 months earlier than planned.

Its rich set of polished UI components that let me build professional, feature-rich apps quickly—especially in .NET environments. I like using the Telerik Grid—for example, to create reports or manage and display data with filtering, sorting, and export options.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

I can't think of something I dislike about Telerik

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It benefits me by speeding up development with ready-to-use components, ensuring a professional look across the app, and reducing bugs thanks to reliable, well-tested tools.

  ### 27. Good product, Insufficient technical support

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

The tools are very helpful for quickly getting components added to a page. And most offer a considerate number of features. As well as ample documentation and API information.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

My most recent customer support interaction was abysmal. I shared information and requested support which we pay for. And the response amounted to the agent pasting the results of a Google search as a response. They took no time nor interest in helping my resolve the issue I encountered while using their Blazor template.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The tooling allows to quickly display large data sets in their grid component.
And we no longer need to import third-party icons sets.
Overall, the Blazor UI suite speeds up the productivity.

  ### 28. Great products but with need of improvement

They have many components, rich in features that make the life of developers easier.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

I've tested RadPDFViewer and it had few bugs related to annotations that prevented me from offering what users needed. A workaround that was providing some of the functionality was offered by support which was good but not ideal.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They make life easier by providing functionality to developers and avoid writing them from scratch.

  ### 29. Great library

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

Their products are wide-ranging and useful. For the most part, whenever we've needed a new control, Telerik has had an option available. We use Telerik in all our applications, including web applications, and desktop applications.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Their coding examples are sometimes too general, which can make them difficult to implement, particularly when your implementation varies slightly.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sometimes when you want to add user functionality beyond what comes in vanilla MS controls, Telerik offers the flexibility without having to build a custom control from scratch.

  ### 32. Create beautiful software

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

We have been using Telerik components for 15+ years and the continuous evolution of the products (Silverlight, --> WPF --> Blazor), rock solid support and exceptional documentation and resources makes is a no-brainer renewal each year.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Still think their TeamPulse product was one of the best toolsets out there - real pitty they killed it

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Telerik solve the UI/UX so I can focus on solving the business problem. Most of our work is bespoke development

Documentation can always use work but honestly better than most companies. Same with support.

It lets you focus on building your application functionality without having to deal with all the nuance of building custom controls.
