## Progress Telerik Reviews
  ### 1. Intuitive Docs and Clean Razor + Code Workflow When It Works

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

When it works, it really works. OOP is easy to implement, and the documentation feels intuitive to use—at least when it isn’t missing code. I especially like being able to keep both the code and the Razor file together in one place. Also, the under-the-hood shared-memory approach for passing @VarItem to child components is a real boon when I don’t need to micromanage the resource.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

When I need a component to do specific things, then things can get tricky on how I need more minute parts of the component or having to make a JSInterop script implementation entirely.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the lower level micromanaging of resources, handlers, micromanaging aspects by keeping the components simple, implementable to ADA compliance, and scalable. It seems to perform well under load or at least, the OOP implementations even upon multiple layering seem to perform well under large data contexts that I've seen be troublesome in other non-telerik projects.

  ### 2. Fast Development, Responsive Support, and Easy Start with Pre-Made Projects

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alfonso A. | Student intern, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

I appreciate the speed of development and the responsiveness of user support, along with how easy it is to get started using the pre-made projects.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

It’s a bit difficult to learn at first, and I’ve also noticed that the properties of certain components aren’t always consistent with those of other components, which can make things confusing.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has been helping me prepare a school practice project, especially because it greatly speeds up development thanks to its pre-established designs.

  ### 3. Modernize the applications with Fluent, but with some difficulties

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrea P. | Senior developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

I use Progress Telerik to modernize my Windows applications. It allows me to enhance the aesthetic appearance of applications that are many years old. I appreciate the support for the latest Microsoft styles, particularly Fluent, as I can give my applications a modern look that follows Microsoft's Fluent guidelines.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Although the support for Fluent is good, it is not perfect and differs slightly between Windows Forms and WPF.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Progress Telerik to modernize my Windows applications and improve the aesthetic appearance by following Microsoft's Fluent guidelines.

  ### 4. Efficient Support and Well-Maintained Telerik UI Components

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alain P. | Senior Developper, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

Telerik made a big effort on UI components.
Support is efficient: thay answer fast (<24h) and with solutions.
Components maintenance is good.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Sometimes, some lack in documentation on very technical points.
(but support is answering questions if necessary)

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They provide UI components to give better user experience.
And technical solutions. For example : generate PDF/A-3 with attachments.

  ### 5. Accelerate Development with Ease

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** FerMind Z. | Consultor senior, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

I like that Progress Telerik offers quick onboarding and a useful roadmap. Additionally, I appreciate that it helps shorten software development time by allowing us to use basic components that are already tested and have advanced functionalities. I also find that the initial setup is simple.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

more integration with Entity Framework

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Progress Telerik to incorporate already tested, functional components and to shorten software development time.

  ### 6. Great component suite, I use the data grid in all my apps

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

The data grid is amazing. It's easy to setup in any language I've used and saves me so much time. The input controls are ok, some are no different than HTML controls but others are more robust. It would be nice if some controls were more customizable but overall they are great.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

The licensing. Each project has had different requirements for implementing the license. Sometimes it's a file included with the project. Other times it's a pretty complex process to have it included in a deployment pipeline. I think someone needs to look at how licensing is applied and make it even easier than the controls you supply.

I also find the examples are a little simple. It would be nice if you had an example application that showcased real world examples of how your controls can be used. Maybe have 3-4 different ways ranging from simple to complex.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Telerik is here to simplify the front-end coding for our dev team. Instead of spending countless hours re-inventing the wheel we use your controls that already have the features we need rolled into them.

  ### 7. Progress Telerik's suite of controls are great and their support team can be very helpful

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

Telerik's products and support are quite good. They have a large suite of controls that we use and when you engage their support, you don't have to wait too long for a response. They have extensive documentation, so it is relatively easy to get started and to add controls you may not have used in the past in an existing project. I really like the fact that their support often creates sample projects for you to test out their solution to your problem.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Like most things, if you want something very out-of-the-box, it can be hit or miss. Sometimes, Telerik has the solution and engaging their support early-on has been very beneficial. Other times, it is a known issue or limitation, and you can tell it is not likely to be fixed in the near future. It is disappointing to get that news, but at least their support is very responsive and lets you know quite quickly. Sometimes they have a control that you find really useful but unfortunately it is not used by many and so does not get the attention you would like (in terms of making it better and easier to integrate into your project).

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are created extensive component libraries for both desktop and web applications that we use in our products. They are continuously improving on their products and adding new components. They have good documentation and demos which are very useful in both the planning and implementing stages. And when we get stuck, their support team has often gotten us un-stuck. We have also used their document generation libraries and report generation libraries.

  ### 8. I use the product in almost all my projects

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dariusz L. | Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

thethe vastness of available controls and the quantity of guides and examples to view both for web forms and for the ASP part

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

The first disadvantage for users is the price of the suite. For a developer working alone, it's a bit high.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I found myself faced with a problem, I opened a ticket related to the problem and in a short time I received a response from Telerik with the solutions and examples.

  ### 9. A solid suite of native components with good coverage for common UI needs

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthías Leó T. | Software Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

Kendo provides a wide range of flexible components available across the most popular web frameworks, and they integrate seamlessly into our Vue 3 applications. Whenever I’ve run into issues and reached out to customer support, they’ve been quick to respond within the promised timeframe and provided clear, helpful solutions.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

My biggest issue with Kendo-Vue right now is the broken event type support. As a TypeScript user, I’m not a fan of being forced into using a generic catch-all for event handlers. The documentation also feels crowded and difficult to navigate, with examples that are often too basic to cover real-world scenarios. Additionally, the website could use a refresh — the layout feels bulky, the fonts are oversized, and the high-contrast color scheme (dark blue/white/red) is a bit straining on the eyes.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Developing financial applications with lots of tabular data (virtual grids) and excel file handling, most of our UI is built with Vue 3 using Progress Telerik components.

  ### 10. Effortless Coding Made Simple with Telerik

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cindy N. | Web Deverloper, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

I like how easy and shorter it makes for me to do simple code

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

I dislike the help articles on the website. I need more visual examples and code. Especially for first time user, I feel like the documentation needs a lot of improvement to help me incorporate Telerik into my code.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Definitely benefits me in time where I spend less time coding due to Teleriks help

  ### 11. Clear Documentation Makes Learning the Components Easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alcocer F. | School intern for the development team, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

The documentation is clear, and it makes it easy to learn how to use the components.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

The ability to troubleshoot errors and resolve compatibility issues is a key benefit.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

What I like most is the speed of development, along with the pre-made components.

  ### 12. Strong and versatile reporting tool, with some shortcomings

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

Telerik Reporting abstracts away pdf management and offers many options for report generation and rendering. They're also quick to respond to questions through their support portal and offer useful assistance. I recommend using the standalone designer tool over the visual studio integration option as it's a lot less buggy.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Setup for Reporting can be cumbersome and feels a bit too complicated, especially designing reports by linking them to classes in assemblies, and setting up the ReportsController to work as required. While it can work out of the box by following default settings, if something doesn't work, it can be hard to pinpoint what's wrong. Fortunately Telerik Support is generally handy for cases like that. Reporting items for tables need a bit more documentation on how chaining items inside works.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The most beneficial problem solved by Telerik for us is minimising the boilerplate code we need to write while offering meaningful customisation options

  ### 13. Professional UI frameworks

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

Proven technology. Very good support and friendly people.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

It's not open source, but that means also not the drawbacks of open source :)

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Excellent toolset of components for our blazor app.

  ### 14. Good products and great support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Diego B. | Software architects, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

A complete, stable, and professional set of components.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

The product release cycle does not always bring new features. Some products have gaps that have not been addressed for a long time.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It accelerates my development, and my products are highly professional and enterprise-grade.

  ### 15. Progress Telerik Use and Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Pharmaceuticals | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

We've been using Telerik UI Controls for a number of years now, and not only are the controls themselves extremely capable and feature rich, but their support is really good.

My team have contacted them a few times with support questions and every time they give me a working solution within 24 hours.

Their tech support people know their product inside out.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

We found ourselves outdated and out of support after a couple of years without upgrading, so we spent a good deal of time upgrading all of our applications to the latest version. In some cases, we were way behind and had to re-write the applications.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Progress Telerik helps us streamline and accelerate our application development lifecycle, specifically for .NET and JavaScript. We like the consistency across projects and applications that it brings. We have a small team with little UI/UX experience, and it helps us provide a good quality UI/UX for our internal users. Telerik also has solid documentation and support when we need it.

  ### 16. Huge Component Library That Clients Love

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Machinery | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

The huge amount of components we can use. Our client(s) really loves that. Is is easy to use and implement and integrate.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Nothing to mention here. All is working as expected.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

That depends. For now is it solving the issue of having a lot of components you need to maintain. With Telerik, all is there.

  ### 17. Mature product with great support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michał M. | Senior software developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

It's a mature product for many platforms/frameworks - quite easy to integrate with new projects. In case of any issues support is always responsive

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

I liked old way of building reports better (now you need external tool for that instead of editing reports in VS)

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Generating reports and providing set of ui controls

  ### 18. Powerful UI controls that saves time and effort.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nathan H. | Front End Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

Our team used Progress Telerik UI for Blazor to develop an internal web based dashboard for tracking business analytics in client’s laundry and dry cleaning operations. I like it’s pre built UI components, which significantly reduces development time. The Data Grid with build-in sorting, filtering and packaging works seamlessly with our database, which allows us to display large amount of data efficiently. Also, the Charting library helped us visualise revenue trends without needing extra tools.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

The learning curve was significantly steeper for first time user compared to other competitors in the market. Also, integration with third-party API is like SendGrid required extra customisation that was not straightforward.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Progress Telerik is an excellent choice for developers looking to speed up UI development with feature rich and customisable components. Now our team spend less time debugging UI issues since the component are well optimised and tested. Also, their well structured documentation makes it easier for new developers to onboard.

  ### 19. Great variety of components, but Excel export of the grids is a bit slow

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

the variety of available components.....

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

slowness with exporting grids to Excel

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't know yet as I have just updated it after 10 years.

  ### 20. Telerik Reports

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris C. | Director of Engineering, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

The reporting engine is highly flexible and is one of the few products we have found capable of handling the complex layouts required for mandatory medical reporting.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

We use the tool with Visual Studio Professional. I have found it challenging to modify existing reports and to train new developers on how to maintain and create reports, as the learning curve can be steep for those unfamiliar with the product.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Telerik Reports is an integral part of our solution.

  ### 21. A complete set of UI for every framework

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mehrzad K. | Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

I am using Telerik for Angular, jQuery, MVC.Net, and Blazor. A lot of UI options including scheduler that I used in development and application

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

The only problem i noticed is the online documentation. Sometimes it is hard to find the item I want among different packages, i had to use bookmarks for the API sections and UI samples to find them easily.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As I mentioned earlier one of the apps I was involved in its development was related to health coaching management and for the scheduling part, i used Telerik scheduling UI .

  ### 22. Excellent UI components but some improvements needed

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lucas M. | Senior Data Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

My team used Telerik UI for ASP.NET Core to build a vendor management portal for tracking vendor performance and managing payments. The Data Grid component was extremely powerful which allows us to implement real time filtering, shorting and grouping without much custom logic. Also it's build in authentication and role management simplified user permission to great extent.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

We tried to integrate Telerik UI into our customer billing system, aiming to improve the user interface. But the default themes looked significantly outdated and memory usage was high when handling large datasets which leads to performance lags.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Despite few issues, Progress Telerik has greatly improved our billing systems usability, making it easier for employees to process payments quickly. It's ready-made UI components allowed us to launch the systems 2 months earlier than planned.

  ### 23. Good suite of controls for almost every major framework.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

Using Telerik speeds up development. It prevents having to manage a number of controls that could be abandoned, and gives a unified look and feel to the end product. Very easy to integrate to ASP.Net Core and WPF. Quick to implement. Support has been good.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

At times the performance of the controls on some frameworks, like MAUI for iPhone is not ideal, but this might be a MAUI problem. The cost is a little high, but saves development time and effort.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing controls that aren't native to frameworks and platforms and speeding up development by pre-solving problems. The code examples are also helpful for doing non-standard things.

  ### 24. Great products but with need of improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Logistics and Supply Chain | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

They have many components, rich in features that make the life of developers easier.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

I've tested RadPDFViewer and it had few bugs related to annotations that prevented me from offering what users needed. A workaround that was providing some of the functionality was offered by support which was good but not ideal.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They make life easier by providing functionality to developers and avoid writing them from scratch.

  ### 25. Help accelerate development times

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Javier Enrique B. | Project Manager & Dev Leader, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

Telerik allows developers to achieve amazing results very quickly, especially when creating web components that can be easily customized. The customer support is also very good and the online documentation is easy to read and very useful.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Sometimes updating the library is not that simple.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have no problem to report.

  ### 26. Huge set of controls with lots of features

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

I'm mainly using the WPF controls by Telerik. These are in general very good an cover a lot of functionality to create modern, flexible UIs. What also needs to be said is that the tech support is very good. You get an answer within 24 hours and very often ready to use sample code is included with the answers.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

The theming approach is a bit complicated and sometimes results in unexpected behavior. Creating custom styles often requires creating copies of HUGE control templates and styles, which makes maintenance quite difficult.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Telerik is great for creating modern UIs.

  ### 27. Very good product, decent documentation, broad community, and outstanding customer support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

Their products are wide-ranging and useful. For the most part, whenever we've needed a new control, Telerik has had an option available. We use Telerik in all our applications, including web applications, and desktop applications.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Their coding examples are sometimes too general, which can make them difficult to implement, particularly when your implementation varies slightly.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sometimes when you want to add user functionality beyond what comes in vanilla MS controls, Telerik offers the flexibility without having to build a custom control from scratch.

  ### 28. Great Tools, fast Development

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leonardo P. | DevOps Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

The tools are great, but the support is so amazing that any problem you have you forget.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Some time they make a bug return to later versions.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

frontend tools

  ### 29. Great UI Components & fast support

Using Telerik, We've been able to increase the velocity with which we push updates. The integration has been so smooth and was easy to onboard any new member. Finally, Customer service has also been top-notch helping us whenever we were blocked.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

There were a few custom developments that we had to do, that would've been easy to implement on the Telerik library itself.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have our website creator product, which is a low-code/no-code tool for our customers. We have integrated telerik to make our product have widgets that are built out of the box.

  ### 33. Telerik is a well supported component library for building custom applications.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Philip A. | Director, Full Stack Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

Teleik support and forums are very helping and support tickets attended to promptly. Also feedback is always reviewed by their engineers and attended to via future releases.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Sometimes the speed of developing components is lacking when compared with their competitors, however, the quality of their releases are unmatched.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Telerik is providing us base components and styling for our application which we will then go on to further customise.

  ### 34. Telerik Review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

Greatly encapsulates common functionality and can create very professional-looking websites much easier.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

The documentation is poor and their website seems to be designed to keep you from finding the information you need.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Their technical support has been helpful. The grid component is very full-featured but difficult to know how to use (mainly due to the very poor documentation).

  ### 35. Very pleased with Progress Telerik

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chip S. | Software Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

I like the controls and reporting. I've used them in written in Winforms, MVC, Xamarin and Blazor.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Seems like some documentation isn't quite as detailed as it could be. Some examples are too basic.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Telerik gives our applications a modern look and feel, definitely quicker than developing our own controls.

  ### 36. Easy to build application, easy to reuse components.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rajesh S. | Sr Manager Application Development, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

Telerik Grid is the best; with less time, you can build an excellent tabular report with search and filter features.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Dropdown list or list box, not easy to implement or flexible to use.
Big data reportings.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

converting aspx pages to MVC,
Faster and flexible.

  ### 37. Great for rapid prototyping

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rich M. | Senior Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

Telerik enables rapid application development for the demonstration of concepts. It provides a good set of themes and functional additions to a UI development environment. Each control is packed with valuable features. The support team is responsive and very knowledgeable about making their product work in whatever situation you need.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Out-of-the-box performance on inferior hardware is lacking. Our industrial PC (2014 Celeron SoC) struggles to load views containing Telerik controls. Adjusting the nitty-gritty margins that are included with some of the controls requires manual adjustment.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were able to rapidly prototype and develop a concept application for our new hardware. We needed a way to allow users to move fixed elements around a screen, similar to PowerPoint, and Telerik had an out-of-the-box solution ready to go. We anticipated this would have required at least two person-months to replicate.

  ### 38. Having more than 4 years of experience using Progress Telerik UI

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Farhan A. | Lead Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

Telerik UI provides and set of controls that help users to make the development fast and give all the features to make the user interface more aesthetic. Its reporting and grid controls are excellent. It allows us to customize the UI as per client needs. It provides several controls, and we need to set the attribute value and to pass the data. It provides controls for both desktop-based applications and web-based applications. It is a complete toolkit for UI design that can be embedded in any application that supports .Net assemblies/classes.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

It provides several controls with many attributes; sometimes, it's confusing what controls to use and how to set its attributes to serve our purpose. I feel its documentation can be improved by providing live examples and sample code.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress Telerik:**

If you want to move from conventional UI to modern UI, then Telerik UI is the best option for you.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are making aesthetic and clean user interfaces for all types of applications like web-based, desktop-based, and mobile.

  ### 39. Cost Effective - Easy to Use - Set and Forget

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Wholesale | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

We use Telerik Reporting on our customer portal. It is very cost effective and easy to use. We have used the product since a consultant introduced us to it in 2009. Since then we've been able to maintain the reports and update to the newer versions of Telerik Reporting without breaking the code. We needed an easy way for our customers to print data about their accounts, and Telerik Reporting gave us a great option for that. We also like the export functions such as export to PDF, CSV, etc.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

I don't know that I have any "dislikes". The look and feel of our reports probably needs some updating, but that would be something we need to look into as I am sure there are better options with newer versions of Telerik Reporting.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solved problem of having an easy reporting tool.

  ### 40. Telerik UI super saver software

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jyoti M. | Software Engineer II, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2020

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

Telerik UI is easy to learn and implement. So it saves lots of time for UI design. UI looks very beautiful and talkative.
Telerik UI provides lots of customization so that we can customize UI as per clients requirements. We can maintain more clients just with simple customizations.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

When we do restore nuget packages without setting up nuget package folder path then it mess up all the thing as it fails to restore. need to spend ample time to fix the issues as code nt able to identify telerik.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress Telerik:**

Telerik UI is very easy to learn and implement so it save lots of time of development. This product is worth of price.
as it saves time builds and release happens on time. As a results our users are happy and we are doing well business.
so go for it.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using grid on lots of page where we need to interact with database to perform CRUD operations. Using grid we can provide lots of options to user like add, edit, delete records, sorting ,filtering , grid paging etc.
Using makes text box we can put formats on users input so that software can take only values which are in acceptable format.

So customization is very useful and this is the main reason to use this.

  ### 41. Excellence of Telerik and Kendo UI

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Imran U. | Senior Software Engineer Team Lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

Powerful UI components which save development time with minimal coding. One of the best third party UI provider for .Net technologies.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

It's support could be improved, whereas community can also play vital role.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress Telerik:**

l

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Because we have bulk of data to manipulate in our applications, so we used reporting tool of the Telerik very much. Default pagination of grid as well as subset of the data using expander/collapse panel is one of the many fantastic components those we used in the application.

  ### 42. Go for it, its just Plug & play!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arvind M. | Senior Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 05, 2021

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

It's Plug & plays components/gadgets; no need to care about too much for coding, pass the attributes. Even UI design is customizable.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Kendo Grid sorting & filters are complex & hard to customize.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Autocomplete Dropdown on Angular Js with Kendo jquery. Kendo Grid for diff data sets, validations

  ### 43. Telerik UI saves a lot of time spent in UI

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sharfaraz A. | Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2020

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

Grid feature is very handy
Responds very fast for the support tickets(within 24 hour)
Did a very good job in the Blazor version overall

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Could be better in making some of the features responsive in small screens
Adding custom controls on top could be a pain sometimes

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Telerik UI for Grids, Date pickers, Multiselect inputs, and so on. We get to save a lot of time spent in UI and have uniformity in design. I really loved the Grid controls in recent versions for Blazor.

  ### 44. Quick honest review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Souvik B. | Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2020

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

Good documentation. Rich collection of UI elements

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

The support is not prompt but it replies to the ticket.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress Telerik:**

Have good knowledge in jquery

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to display data in table format and have good data editing tools.

  ### 45. A powerful and complete library

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2020

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

Very simple to use and one of the first available on .net core.
Very good price, high quality. Good support.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

some component in new technologies are not present or not fully implemented, or not so quickly as expected.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we can develop web apps in a symple and quick way.

  ### 46. Telerik UI does simply help save tons of time

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Airlines/Aviation | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2020

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

I love the Telerik UI. It does the work. Simplify lots of steps and save tons of time.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

The service turn-around should be quicker.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Many controls are cool. They are ready to use out of the box. Drag/drop and wire them in the application would speed up the development. The documentations are nice enough.

  ### 47. Probably the only powerful Grid you can find in the market

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Curtis X. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2018

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

Definitely the grid feature, it's filters and things are so powerful and convenient to use with the DataSourceRequest, then the DropDownList, also extremely helpful to get things done.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

The theme is a bit plain and ugly, to be honest, need something that can be better looking. I like the new bootstrap like the theme but it could be better for sure. Also, the mobile version just can't get the grid working so nicely.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving the problem by building business CRUD applications quickly, so Telerik allows us to get a complete product in probably just one day without having to be the most talented programmer. It's pretty amazing how much their product can do with how little effort.

  ### 48. Telerik UI for Xamarin provides enhanced controls for multi-platform mobile apps

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2018

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

It extends and adds new useful UI controls to the basic UI controls provided by native Xamarin.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Although there are trial versions, it is not cheap to use them for production usage as you'll need to pay a per developer licence.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress Telerik:**

Play with their trial version and make sure the controls fit your purpose before pursuing for purchasing the license. If they turned out to be useful to you, it may not be considered too expensive if you do not have many developers working on the mobile application as it'll take a tremendous amount of time to develop and maintain those UI controls, and the cost may well worth it.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Telerik UI for Xamarin adds 70+ UI controls for developing cross-platform mobile applications using Xamarin. It provides a more complete set of UI controls than what's provided by Xamarin.

  ### 49. A very robust framework that covers most of your UI needs

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

Telerik UI is one of the best frameworks out there to easily visualize data without a lot of backend coding. We are able to display data in easy to read formats like tables, charts, and graphs and the Telerik UI framework makes this so easy that almost anyone with some programming knowledge could learn how to do it.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

They guarantee a 24 hour response time to support tickets but 50% of the time they respond after that. Not a huge issue but it would be nice if a credit was given when they miss their target response time.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Great data visualization for front-end users.

  ### 50. Rich UI with Telerik

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2018

Get ready made controls
Rich user interface
Callback functions and properties

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Upgrading to new versions is difficult and time consuming
Some of the properties/functions are removed in latest versions, which is again rework

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ExportToExcel, Grids, Treeview functionalities. Less efforts with rich UI
