"Best Proxy Server Tool I have used"
5/5
What do you like best about Progress Telerik Fiddler?

For web developers, it is one of the advanced tools with the simplest UI in the business. Easy to use. Lots of features.

The main reason I turned to Fiddler Telerik was the autoresponder tool. we work on lots of projects are in different environments and very difficult to set up that environment in a local machine. The Autoresponder makes it easy to verify my changes just by using the local file on my machine when using actual servers.

Other reasons for considering fiddler were:

Good trial version (most of the features available to use with some limitations)

A great tool to intercept the network traffic and debug the APIs.

When debugging a major issue, you can save your session in fiddler and even share it with your team members if needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Progress Telerik Fiddler?

On some complex features, documentation lacks a bit. I was able to get lots of good information on youtube from various other users but it would have been good if official documentation describes most of it.

Another minor thing is a grouping of Autoresponder rules, a couple of years earlier, I was able to group rules and was able to perform one action (enable/disable/delete) for the whole group. This was very useful when using different projects or in the same project on different environments. I would love it if they bring it back. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fantastic tool"
5/5
What do you like best about Progress Telerik Fiddler?

My work involves a lot of integration with third party APIs, this tool provides a clear breakdown of API calls and makes it really simple to see the raw request so that we can write code to build that same request. We have found that in a lot of cases, it highlights missing headers in the requests as well as gives the raw json data which is easy to pull out and create matching classes

It's so simple to use, really easy to filter out requests to only see the bits that you are actually interested in

It's such a useful and well built project that I insist all developers on my team have it so that they can use it for debugging and to aid in building new integrations.

Invaluable tool, cannot recommend it enough Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Progress Telerik Fiddler?

Nothing! This is a fantastic product and I have nothing that I can say I dislike about it Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Makes My Life Easier"

What do you like best about Progress Telerik Fiddler?

The ease of testing without the need to deploy my changes to servers. Working as a proxy is the best thing; so I can test anything I need Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Progress Telerik Fiddler?

I just dislike sometimes the complexity of adding new rules to fiddler, where I don't know sometimes what to choose from (Magic String, Response File ...) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fiddler is a staple in my teams debugging process"
5/5
What do you like best about Progress Telerik Fiddler?

This tool is perfect to run code locally without ever having to publish changes to a server. It's proved much more useful and intuitive to set up than other tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Progress Telerik Fiddler?

The only downside would be auto filtering options on requests are not very robust but I'm still able to find what I'm looking for manually using the search box Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fiddler Everywhere is a great tool to setup proxy server"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Progress Telerik Fiddler?

I liked how I can customize my proxy responses and then save them and export them. Fiddler is also very convenient to use. Good for beginners too. I also liked using Autoresponder. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Progress Telerik Fiddler?

In order to delete a custom response, I have to manually delete each one of them. There should be an option to delete everything at once. Also the import and export can be updated Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy debugger for front-end developers"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Progress Telerik Fiddler?

The third-party application is safe and secure and is able to intercept API calls over the internet. The navigation across tabs is quite user-friendly in nature. It not only records the response data but also records the request data. It can alter the data while sending to the server and alongside while receiving from the server which helps in testing the end to end behaviour of the application and where it can break the normal flow. Tracking the speed of the data flow is another important feature of the software which is noteworthy. The main differentiator of the product is that alteration and testing can be done on a local codebase while developing. It greatly reduces time to market. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Progress Telerik Fiddler?

The software is not allowed on all corporate networks though the free version is available. Other than that, the requests when imported to LoadRunner is not smooth and up to the mark. The online response of the customer team could have been better and since this software is still not widely used there are relatively less resources over the internet. What do you like best about Progress Telerik Fiddler?

There're a lot of features for almost every kind of developer, which is especially useful while debugging. Apart from the renowned "traffic capture" feature, there're options to encode/decode responses. It can even replace PostMan to test a web API. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Progress Telerik Fiddler?

So far there's nothing that I dislike about this tool. But, if there's something I would like to get improved, it's the documentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
