I've been using this program for probably a good 15 years. I can't imagine running my website without it. I'm not a fan of the concept of editing files live on the server, like with some other programs, so I've always liked using FTP programs. Not much. I've run into a few errors over the years, but nothing that hasn't been fixed by Ipswitch. My biggest problem is when an updated file won't go through and I have to sit and wait a few minutes before it allows it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This is a great FTP client! It is very stable and I have never had any issues with it. I use it all the time at work, almost on a daily basis, and I have never been dissatisfied with it. I like the fact that it keeps track of the total amount of data that you have uploaded/downloaded in the past, so it tells you on the Splash Screen that you've transferred X number of GB since you installed the software. I like this feature and think it is kind of neat that it shows you how much data you have moved in the past. Let's you know you're getting your money's worth out of the product. There's isn't much that I dislike about this software other than the fact that it isn't free. It's great software and works extremely well for both client and server applications. ipswitch WS_FTP does a great job of a simple job: uploading files to a web host. It comes in both free and for purchase editions that suite the needs of both consumers and business users alike. Best of all, the program is fairly light in terms of using system resources and it can be setup fairly easily. Its not going to win any advanced awards for having a ton of features. Its more robust competitors can offer those but at a higher costs. However, it also managers to do a superior job of file handling than many web hosting programs that use basic FTP programs. The program is not for beginners. Even with its easy to functions, new users may find some of its functions harder to use. I think what I like best about Ipswitch FTP is the ease of use with the product. It is very easy to set up FTP connections and I have had no issues hooking into a variety of different vendor FTP connections.
