If there is, it is almost impossible to find. Our data has never felt less secure since we have been with your company. It is slow - takes too long to update - even when I have a file checked out, constantly getting notices when I save that a newer version is available - how is that possible - I have the file checked out? It is not just me - not just my computer or network, all of our users report the same issues. The transition was terrible and your help desk had no idea how to help. You now have all of my end users asking that I find something else. **What problems is Progress ShareFile solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before the move to Citrix files - it felt like a solid product. I could explain how it was working we had nearly zero end-user issues. Constantly trying to figure out if our data is OK and helping end-users understand why their files aren't saving correctly - why are they getting versioning errors etc. Why when they check in a file does it still look checked out to everyone else 5 minutes later... Help desk is not very helpful and has given us wrong answers on how to handle a problem if you can get an answer at all in any kind of timely manner. Our "rep" was less than helpful on the transition, and would not get any of the answers we asked for including a deadline for transition to Citrix files - we got turned off without any notice and got a that's too bad from the help desk. ### 9. The learning curve is quite gentle in Sharefile hence it is easy for newbies to learn and start using immediately. We get a lot of interns and new staff who benefit from Sharefile's intuitive workflows and UI. I like that you get notifications on any activity on folders you own or shared folders. I like that ShareFile gives you two upload options i.e the JavaScript or HTML uploader in case you are having challenges with JavaScript or you do not have it installed at all. I also like the progress bars that you get for uploads so that you are aware of the rate of upload and/or percentage left this way you know if the upload has failed or still in progress. I like the fact that it allows large file uploads with long file retention periods than many other file sharing platforms. This gives enough time for our reviewers to go through the large volume of files for review. **What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile?** One thing I dont like about Sharefile is its lack of features (especially the chat feature for real time conversations) compared to other upcoming collaboration platforms but I guess those would cost way more and would probably be overkill for what we use Sharefile for. **Recommendations to others considering Progress ShareFile:** I feel Sharefile is great for simple collaboration projects and specific use cases (file sharing) because it has limited features. You would need to integrate it other tools to get more features. **What problems is Progress ShareFile solving and how is that benefiting you?** Share file is a platform that we primarily use for sharing large files that we cannot send via our company email due to our policy on attachment sizes. We use it to collaborate on projects which need feedback and reviews on large sets of rich media. We have a Shared folder where each country around the world deposits their rich media for the reviewer to access and this also provides a chance for everyone to learn from feedback for other countries or offices. ### 13. With the outlook plug-in sharing large documents is so quick and easy. I also like the security and control that is provided for who can access the documents and tracking the changes within them. I think it does well at protecting information that leaves the company. I also think the website is well organized and easy to use. It was very easy for us to implement and train our employees on the proper use of the website and software. **What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile?** One of the downsides that I noticed was that there is no document lockout tool so if multiple users were to access and edit a file at the same time there is potential for version errors. Strong internet coverage is required. Without good internet, accessing files and syncing them to the cloud could be difficult. The price can be a bit high especially for the smaller businesses but you do get the support that is not available for free cloud services like Google Drive. **Recommendations to others considering Progress ShareFile:** I have used Citrix ShareFile for two years and it has worked well. However I have another app that I have been using on my desktop, that I just switched to in cloud version. It will allow me to do what Citirx ShareFile does, and more, for about 60% less. That is a huge savings for me. **What problems is Progress ShareFile solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use ShareFile for all of our field teams to be able to easily access the project documents while they are on site throughout our area of operations. Using ShareFile has helped our "out of the office groups" have access to all their necessary project documents while having them backed up, all without having to wait for long download times from remote servers. It also allowed our teams to share pertinent information with our subcontractors as needed while still keeping them safe from tampering. ### 15. I recently had to share an entire litigation file, including dozens of photographs and videos, lengthy reports, etc. with another attorney. The ability to upload it to ShareFile and then send a download link to the other attorney made file sharing a snap. Clients who are not technically savvy love it when I tell them they can send a large file to me by simply clicking on the link in my email and following the simple instructions from there. There are a number of features of Citrix ShareFile that I will confess I do not use. It's a collaborative feature (allowing people in different locations to work on the same files) that appears to be robust. I just don't personally have a need for that very often. **What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile?** Editing in the mobile app it is a little limited, some tools have this custom, they deliver in the mobile application an adapted and limited version of the web/desktop version and the sharefile is fitting in this point. The search function is also somewhat limited, I had trouble finding some terms, I could have more filters. Price is a bit high, could be more competitive. **Recommendations to others considering Progress ShareFile:** If you work on your own or work in teams with large numbers of people or work with people in different branches or locations that need to work together on one project, Citrix ShareFile will fit perfectly into it, it will "eliminate physical distance" by reducing your expenses with travel, tickets for company employees, etc. **What problems is Progress ShareFile solving and how is that benefiting you?** ShareFile is used by a subset of our users. However, it is not restricted to any one department. Predominantly, ShareFile is used by those employees who need to access their data files wherever they might have internet access. We first began looking at ShareFile to provide a HIPAA compliant method of seamlessly accessing our documents and spreadsheets while at home or on the road. ### 16. As a file storage solution it works fairly well. I like the web interface as well and the ability to store unlimited backup copies and previous versions is a big plus. **What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile?** The transition from Sharefile Drivemapper to Citrix Files was less than smooth. Citrix Files has a tendency to disconnect or log out the users and require logging back in. The customer service is abysmal. I emailed for support and never heard back. Phone support is often less that helpful and googling issues seems to be the best method of finding solutions. **Recommendations to others considering Progress ShareFile:** Know what you are doing before making the change. Customer service is currently not great and getting help may be difficult. **What problems is Progress ShareFile solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is an excellent file storage solution and when it stays connected and syncing correctly, clients of any size will have a decent alternative to using a Windows or Linux based file server. ### 23. Data is backed up, and Sharefile keeps great versioning records. Available through desktop integration (with your regular file directory) as well as online with sharefile.com. Syncing speeds are almost instantaneous! Permission settings and folder and subfolder levels **What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile?** It isn't the most collaborator-friendly tool. I don't know of a way to have multiple editors simultaneously working on a document. There also doesn't seem to be a way to lock other users to prevent making unwanted duplicate copies. Working off of sharefile.com is a bit clunky. **What problems is Progress ShareFile solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use sharefile to store all of our client records. The automatic data back-ups, and the almost immediating uploading/synchronizing are huge time savers. ### 27. It is very good at keeping historic data on previously signed documents. **What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile?** When you start a signature request, you fill out information on the email such as subject and message. However, once you move onto the next step, you can't go back to edit the message. You will need to start over. I also use this for a lot of graphic projects and the formatting will look off once it is sent. The receiver will need to download the document to see how it actually looks like. **Recommendations to others considering Progress ShareFile:** If you are only sending documents for signature that have a small file size, this is the right fit. It is online and accessible anywhere, which is extremely convenient to use anywhere I go, regardless of whether I am using a desktop or a laptop. Logging in is very simple, and can be done in less than a minute. **What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile?** It really slows down the speed of your computer. It has sometimes consumed close to 100% of my CPU and caused other files to crash if I have too many open. **Recommendations to others considering Progress ShareFile:** Make it less buggy, as it tends to cause other files to crash, including Microsoft Excel files. It is good, but not great. **What problems is Progress ShareFile solving and how is that benefiting you?** It provides a single repository for most business applications, saving time. I don't really use it much for file sharing. There are various trading systems that my company uses it for, and it is has a good dashboard layout for the user. Access can be controlled for each individual application that is linked to Citrix, including test environments. Overall, the benefits of using Citrix, when mitigated, are far greater than the flaws and I believe what it comes down to is the net investment a company wants to invest in this product. For a large organization like the one I work for with the high security demands, I would say that it is definitely worth it to use Citrix. Even for smaller organizations, it would be beneficial to have Citrix. ### 35. It works great for sharing documents and the mobile app is useful. **What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile?** Through the various updates, different glitches would occur. For awhile, documents wouldn't preview on the first or second time, and wouldn't allow you to access the document at all. Now, about 50% of documents scanned from an external scanner and saved as a PDF will not preview and the document must be downloaded to even see what it is.
