It's easy to set up, and security seems very strong in comparison to most other systems. Administrative tools are powerful and easy to use. What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile? It costs more than the systems I already have (OneDrive, DropBox, and Google Workspace) - or have tried in the past (Synology). If I would talk about the upside, then it would surely be the security. I must acknowledge the fact that Citrix was one of the most secured platforms out there in the market. The thing that I would dislike about Citrix is that it would make the system very slow which in turn affected outr productivity. Be aware of security issue - You can self elevate your access from a shared folder that you have only 'Upload' access to 'Admin' access by moving the shared folder to your personal folder in Sharefile then move it back to where it was. We showed this to ShareFile and they didn't want to admit that this was a security flaw on their end. The issue couldn't be duplicated, they said. ShareFile has a extremely easy of use when it comes to uploading documents so this feature make it easy for new clients using this service to be able to comprehend and easily access and upload files without struggles especially within our company as we need to constantly give and share these documents with our staff. Our organization had switched to ShareFIle 10 months ago. Latency between folder navigation is crippling. We haven't been able to get any traction from support on this. It's going to cost a bundle to switch to another product but that's what we're doing. I wouldn't recommend this product if the number of documents you're storing here is of any significant count. What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile? Lack of customer service and assistance in set up. This is our 2nd time using ShareFile, the first time we paid for 6 months and were never able to implement the service. the 2nd time they told me they received a lot of feedback similar to mine and had made changes to fix that, so they now have services available to help set up etc. This was completely twisted because the services that they implemented are just videos you watch to figure it out yourself. We are a small business and I wear many hats, I spent over an hour trying to figure out what I needed to do first to get this up and running. I finally called for assistance and was redirected to the website to watch videos. This is my 2nd time with them. I had the exact same issues before and they sold me on this telling me that they had received a lot of feedback based on my previous experience and others, and had made changes but it looks like they haven't made any of the necessary changes.
