## Progress ShareFile Reviews
  ### 1. Fradulent billing. Unauthorized $$$ charges. Bonehead "support"

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dean S. | COO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Progress ShareFile?**

Nothing. It used to be an okay service when it was created and managed by Citrix. Not anymore

**What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile?**

This company does not have any moral or ethical principles or any common sense at all.
It starts with me subscribing to the premium package at $85 per month on a monthly basis, month to month. I enter the credit card and get the access and start designing my company's branding.

The next thing is I receive an invoice for $936, which is the annual subscription, which I never subscribed to. I start communicating with their support and I'm shocked to discover that their support neither cares nor even understands what the problem is.
They all are sitting in Bangalore, India, where the time of people is worth zero. They say, "Well we reviewed your account and it looks like it was billed an annual subscription price." Well duh, I kind of know that but how did you dare to charge my card and issue a fraudulent invoice for an annual subscription when I only offered you $85 per month on a month-by-month basis?
Then I escalated to their Legal and Sales department and it takes them a long time to even understand what the problem is. After long exchanges that lead nowhere, what it ends up being is that the India-based support sends me an email that we refunded your $936 and we also canceled your account. I spent a tremendous amount of time creating the branding and the look and feel for my clients. A tremendous amount of time, tremendous investment, and this is all lost. No apologies, no compensation offered, nothing. I've never worked with a company that is supposedly a publicly traded company with such a extreme incompetence, no common sense, no decency, no ethics.

**What problems is Progress ShareFile solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is supposed to be solving the data room need but since they can't even onboard you, it's not benefiting me in any way, shape, or form.

  ### 2. Progress Support needs an overhaul

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pablo L. | Principal Enterprise Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress ShareFile?**

The product is good and has been good since before the acquisition.

**What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile?**

Customer support since Progress acquisition is some of the worst within the industry. It's impossible to get a response from support, the partner programs team, or the account manager. I highly advise staying away from this company. As of today (November 13) we have been awaiting an answer to a question for over 2 months (September 11) and have been ignored entirely.

**What problems is Progress ShareFile solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Secure file sharing

  ### 3. Great for Collaboration, But Platform Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Commercial Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress ShareFile?**

It allowed us to file share and collaborate with outside parties.

**What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile?**

Poor customer service, poor tech support. Bugs went unresolved for months.

**What problems is Progress ShareFile solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sharefile was solving the problem of file sharing with outside vendors.

  ### 4. Worst customer support ever

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2024

**What do you like best about Progress ShareFile?**

Secure file saving and uploading, lots of APIs

**What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile?**

Worst customer support I've ever received and changes to software without alerts, thanks "Jose M"

**What problems is Progress ShareFile solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease of document retention and secure sharing

**Official Response from Mitchell Drysdale:**

> Hi there,

I'm extremely sorry to hear that you had a poor customer support experience. I'd be happy to try and assist with what you reached out to support about if you're interested. Please reach out to me at mitchell.drysdale@sharefile.com.

  ### 5. Overall poor product for our license size of 70 users

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martin W. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Progress ShareFile?**

We had just switched our 70 users from the nightmare with a cloud competitor, so ShareFile seemed a welcome change. Unlimited storage, free access to RightSignature e-signature, secure/encrypted email module for Outlook. What more could I want?

The price started at $17.50 per user per month and hasn't changed in 4 years.

I absolutely love their ShareFile Migration Tool for mass uploading files from our network to the cloud. It works flawlessly, and I use it regularly. This tool is a godsend because uploading more than a few files through the web browser or other tools is problematic.

We've used it as an FTP server with great success. Employees can use FileZilla to retrieve or send files, and we've baked in FTP to some web apps that transfer directly to user folders.

And the Request Files (file drop) is another amazing Outlook add-in tool. It allows me to email a link so that a recipient can open and just drop files into that ultimately show up in my ShareFile folder.

**What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile?**

At the time I write this review, there are only 48% five star reviews and 34% four star. In my opinion, there is a reason reviews are so bad. My company has used ShareFile since 2017 before Citrix completely changed its business approach. Ah, the good old days when ShareFile was fast and support was easily accessible.

- Very high latency to the ShareFile cloud, whether via browser or Citrix Files app. Takes many seconds or minutes to populate file folders
- Navigating user folders in any web browser is painfully slow
- Frequent outages (subscribe to their status.sharefile.com and you'll be aware of every outage, every freakin time)
- Citrix Files app does not refresh content in a timely manner. Five or 20 minute wait times for content to refresh, sadly, is normal.
- Slow sync using Citrix Files
- Offline cache mode is problematic
- Offshore support staff

And we have 50M/50M dedicated fiber, so yeah, it's not our internet.

The Sync tool works well, just like Dropbox's and other competitors. But ShareFile has not updated this tool since 2019 and it's slated for End of Life status in Dec 2021. https://www.citrix.com/blogs/2020/12/22/announcing-built-in-sync-to-citrix-files-migration

Early on, there were two of many tools, Sync and Drive Mapper. Sync simply did what it's supposed to. The Drive Mapper was a live connection to cloud content, useful for directly accessing cloud folders instead of using the web browser. They got the bright idea to merge the two into Citrix Files using Offline Cache.

Great idea, but its implementation sucks. Files are cached in some undisclosed location on your computer while you're at its mercy to sync whenever it wants. At a minimum, you must wait 2 minutes to sync even a tiny 10 Kb spreadsheet. At least the Sync tool, and even Dropbox sync, updates instantaneously. This means you've got a cloud version that's different from your local version. And if you have shared the folder with others, they also have different versions until 2, or 5, or 20 minutes elapses when the sync finally happens for everyone. We've even had workstations that NEVER sync changed files and the ShareFile support staff cannot resolve this.

Then they switched to offshore tech support. At least for now the final technician is a native English speaker, but jumping through hoops to create a ticket with very nice, but non-native English speaking phone support is just frustrating. The language barrier is real.

The combination of all these unresolved frustrations sounded the death knell for our time with ShareFile. We simply cannot survive all these unresolved issues and retain our sanity.

Consequently, after a tumultuous 4-year relationship with ShareFile we've decided to go to a competitor. ShareFile just is not ready or reliable enough for heavy SMB business use.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress ShareFile:**

It may work for you if you don't mind delayed file access, or just use it as a file dumping ground. But if you are one of those users who needs to open files quickly, and feel like you shouldn't have to wait 60-120 seconds for a file to open and view/edit then look to another product.

**What problems is Progress ShareFile solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have cloud storage; that's been a plus. Another big help has been the ability to email encrypted (secure) files through Outlook. This can also be done through their web interface, but hands down using the Citrix Files for Outlook add-in is the bomb. It guarantees that only the original recipient(s) can read the secure message, as it cannot be forwarded.

  ### 6. Everything is toooooo complex

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Maritime | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Progress ShareFile?**

So may negatives hard to find positives
only positive that comes to mind is that it works (more or less)

**What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile?**

Support is difficult at best
Simplifying any aspect of customer experience is fairly low on the list of priorities
Sales people seem to make excuses when something does not work as expected.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress ShareFile:**

For basic simple data sharing it works. the more complex the organization (number of users, etc.) the more difficult it is to support

**What problems is Progress ShareFile solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Central storage of company data files

  ### 7. Wow! Sharefile at the enterprise level is nothing short of horrible!

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mental Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Progress ShareFile?**

The best part about Sharefile is the ability to install a client on your PC and map everything to the s: drive

**What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile?**

I dislike almost everything about it. I especially dislike them if you contract with their enterprise team. You have to call them to add a user every time unless you buy extras. Then they start sending you emails that say you haven't paid your bill even if your credit card is on file. You have to call support to resolve it. They send you a very painful payment process that you finally get through, and the next month they send the payment reminder again. So for every user you add, you start getting these emails every month about payment. What in the world? Also the helpdesk is in India which is fine except it's very very hard to understand their English. Very poorly done overall. I am cancelling and will use Sharepoint gong forward.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress ShareFile:**

Use anything but Sharefile. Google Workspace and Drive are much better. Or use Sharepoint and sync your files. Also much better.

**What problems is Progress ShareFile solving and how is that benefiting you?**

File sharing and E-signature.

  ### 8. Atrocious Customer Service - Perhaps unless you are in USA

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alvin Y. | Real Estate Sales Manager & Revenue Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Progress ShareFile?**

On the occasion it works, it works as a simple tool.

**What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile?**

When you need help, you are always told to await a call back from the technical team.
We have our account not able to log in after upgrading. Tried calling for support to resolve it.
As of now, I have been waiting 2 weeks and even after phone calls to resolve it, keep getting the same useless advice from some India call center to await a callback from the technical team. Migrated to PandaDoc and now have support teams that resolve my issues within the day.

**What problems is Progress ShareFile solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tried to get contracts signed online. Obviously this DID NOT work with RightSignature.

  ### 9. A well-known enterprise brand for cloud storage & collaboration

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Progress ShareFile?**

It has a ton of features compared to the other cloud storage platforms like Dropbox and ShareFile.

**What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile?**

I'm not entirely sure how much it is (paid by my company), but I believe it's expensive and somewhat of an overkill for what I need.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress ShareFile:**

try it and see for yourself

**What problems is Progress ShareFile solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storing and syncing files are what I mainly use it for. It's supposed to be secure and I never had a problem with security (but then, I never had issues with other cloud storage providers either).

  ### 10. Overly stringent security settings makes this product hard to recommend over WeTransfer

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2019

**What do you like best about Progress ShareFile?**

The level of security - there's only a single link for a single person. It's harder to send the same file to multiple people especially if they want to receive the file in two different email addresses

**What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile?**

The level of security makes it a pain to share files with other people. Many times, you'd end up asking whether the intended recipient was able to access and download the file from ShareFile or not and more often than not, the answer would be no

**Recommendations to others considering Progress ShareFile:**

Don't. There are other alternatives for secure file sharing which are much more user-friendly

**What problems is Progress ShareFile solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ShareFile was the only firm-approved file sharing solution available at that time.

  ### 11. Sharefile or Lostfile?

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Civil Engineering | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Progress ShareFile?**

I like that it provides a way for me to send large PDF documents via email.

**What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile?**

I dislike the entire interface. I don't find it to be user-friendly. I wish it resembled Google Drive more. I'm stuck using it because it's what my organization uses. I want to be able to have an online, accessible database of all of the documents I regularly work with to share with my project groups.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress ShareFile:**

Great for sharing large PDF files - not great for collaboration purposes.

**What problems is Progress ShareFile solving and how is that benefiting you?**

sending large PDF files via email

  ### 12. Nice

**Reviewed by:** Michelle T. | Audit Assistant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2019

**What do you like best about Progress ShareFile?**

I can share my file through this app that really help me because it easier that bluetooth.

**What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile?**

Sometimes it's a bit slower than the other sharing app and it's have an ad that really sucks.

**What problems is Progress ShareFile solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Give us to easier sharing my files and also others.

  ### 13. Not satisfied with rightsignature

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Progress ShareFile?**

At least they have a fair price, but I don’t recommend it

**What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile?**

Terrible interface, no tools for alignments, rework when you need to change the online form

**Recommendations to others considering Progress ShareFile:**

Use other product

**What problems is Progress ShareFile solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it to collect signatures in some documents. It works but there are better products

  ### 14. Not the smoothest sharing option

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2019

**What do you like best about Progress ShareFile?**

It is possible to share files with this application, both internally and externally.

**What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile?**

The interface is not a straightforward as it could be. For example, I find Dropbox much easier to use.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress ShareFile:**

Compare with Dropbox for Business

**What problems is Progress ShareFile solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sharing large files with people not allowed to access our corporate network.

  ### 15. RightSignature has Extremely Poor Support, Not GDPR compliant

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2018

**What do you like best about Progress ShareFile?**

There are not many things I like other than the service is simple to use.

**What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile?**

No updates in years, lack of timely and courteous support, no ability to backup documents, limited API functionality. I have been submitting tickets for almost a year with many of them going completely unanswered.

If you use forms and have a lot of documents associated with them it is impossible to get backups of your documents.

**What problems is Progress ShareFile solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remote Signatures

  ### 16. Not at all what is described

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sue D. | President & CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2018

**What do you like best about Progress ShareFile?**

Nothing at this point. Can't upload files, can't get support, can't get service, can't get anyone responsible. Salesperson assured she would be available, now has left the company.

**What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile?**

Buying the product/service, then not being able to use, then no support. Finally, after 30 minutes on hold, I finally got a sales person who says Citrix is trying to phase out small clients and only go after enterprise clients. During the trial, the salesperson added another product which we have NEVER USED, not even demoed...and we are now billed an additional $57.00 per month. THEY WON'T GIVE A REFUND for that portion....IT'S NOT IT THEIR POLICY. DISHONORABLE COMPANY. Why do they even go through the motions and take our money. The support sales person says it's corporate rules. My advice: Citrix get out of the business if you can't support what you sell! Don't prey on little companies that you can't deliver and take their money.

**What problems is Progress ShareFile solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We wanted to get off dropbox and secure our files. Very excited to try ShareFile. Had a great sales representative....told us to try additional services and they would cancel before trial started. I emailed the rep, before the 1st...and the email bounced back. Tried a couple more times, along with calling support (hour wait the 1st time and finally hung up), 2nd time it has been half an hour, and was told a manager would call me back. Nothing has been as represented. Salesperson is gone.. And Citrix will accept no responsibility. Shame on them. Our service was to start on the 1st and it's now the 11th and they put through a charge on the 11th. Terribly disorganized company.. Sad that a large company needs the money so bad, they can't take responsibility for their failures.

  ### 17. Director of IT

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2018

**What do you like best about Progress ShareFile?**

Nothing - this text is put here because the review form forces me - otherwise I'd leave it blank

**What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile?**

advertising suggests it is built for business including enterprise, when in reality it can not support many enterprise needs or large data in bulk

**Recommendations to others considering Progress ShareFile:**

Be careful - they own your data and have just recently added external cloud support for external services but have yet to adopt AWS S3 (which they use themselves as internal storage if you don't bring your own).

The system is designed to get you in and TRAP YOU - We had 1TB of shared data in the system plus 500 GB in personal data for all users combined, and to cut over to another system meant we needed to FREEZE the storage for up to 2-4 weeks (with large fees) while they backed up and shipped our data to us on a hard drive (likely AWS snowball to them, they copy to a HD then to us)(mind you production data) - this was not possible so it took a painful 3+ months to get our data out and on to another system.

Users with large amounts of data were impossible to delete and required a support call just to admin the system so they could delete the account.

We moved from a common mapped network drive G:\ with NTFS permissions. The folder structure was complex and the NTFS security was as well utilizing AD security groups. Sharefile allowed for something similar however users being users wold some how share personal folder data to other employees and the result was their entire personal folder was published to the root of the public share for all to see. We had an accounting nightmare when sales commissions were displayed to those who should not have seen it. They never could figure this out or how to fix it. And was the main reason for leaving.

The Sync agent is horrible, lots of corruption and extremely slow for our German office
Ultimately we used the drive mapper towards the end as this worked best (NOT AVAILABLE ON MAC - which we have 10 users that were forced to use the web). They push the Sync Agent as the main windows client

all in all poor support - I almost always had to resolve my own issues 90% of the time. Poor desktop sync clients, no mapper MAC support, lots of security issues, performance issues, and difficult to perform simple admin functions like deleting users.

They were not ready for us. We have true enterprise and international needs at data volume scale and were looking to replace our mapped network drive with ShareFile - it failed miserably.

Alternatively we evaluated Storage Made Easy (SME) and CentreStack - I chose CentreStack as I have more control and super reasonable pricing (40% less that ShareFile). SME is the middle ground and less control but way more stable (25% less than ShareFile)

**What problems is Progress ShareFile solving and how is that benefiting you?**

none it caused MANY problems for us

  ### 18. Do not like product

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Beth L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2018

**What do you like best about Progress ShareFile?**

Security feature is good. Do not use this product unless email sent to me by someone that uses it.

**What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile?**

Not very user-friendly. Typically receiving email from others who use this secure email - it is not user-friendly to get into the actual email and having to save the html link to my computer.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress ShareFile:**

None

**What problems is Progress ShareFile solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Receiving protected/sensitive data from broker partners.

  ### 19. Lost Hundreds Of Files

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2018

**What do you like best about Progress ShareFile?**

Being able create shareable links to use in an email to download large files.

**What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile?**

We lost hundreds of important files. Our IT department and Sharefile could not retrieve them.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress ShareFile:**

Use something else. This system may lose your files and you can’t get them back.

**What problems is Progress ShareFile solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organizing files in a collaborative environment.

  ### 20. Citrix, great idea in theory...

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dr. Natalie A. | Scoring Supervisor, Education Management, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 05, 2017

**What do you like best about Progress ShareFile?**

I like that you are able to share different programs through many remote computers.

**What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile?**

Takes forever to load and crashes constantly.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress ShareFile:**

I would recommend if you had plenty of time on your hands to play around with this product.

**What problems is Progress ShareFile solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sharing programs and documents. It is beneficial if your company does not want to spend a lot of money on a particular program.

  ### 21. Review-Citrix

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akshat K. | Associate Consultant, Pharmaceuticals, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Progress ShareFile?**

Not much to like except that when it works it’s useful

**What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile?**

Very finicky with the internet, unstable and slow

**What problems is Progress ShareFile solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Just data sharing

  ### 22. Hard to use

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Restaurants | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2018

**What do you like best about Progress ShareFile?**

Not much, software was not very functional for me

**What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile?**

Poor layout and design. Poor functionality.

**What problems is Progress ShareFile solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remote access to the company server

  ### 23. Nothing like Dropbox

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nabeel Z. | Director of Product Design & UX, Enterprise Apps, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2017

**What do you like best about Progress ShareFile?**

I don't think ShareFile does anything special. It doesn't even come close to the user experience that services like WeTransfer, Google Drive and Dropbox provide.

The only good thing of course is privacy and control over the data that's hosted/stored. Every company has privacy policies, some quite complex. With cloud based, popular services like Dropbox, Box, Google Drive, you can never truly protect your data from third-party eyes. That's I guess the only benefit of Sharefile, companies have a bit more control over the privacy and I believe it can be easily installed inside the business's technology infrastructure.

**What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile?**

It's not as easy to use as Dropbox, The User Interface is nothing special, it's not fast, sharing isn't as smooth as Dropbox and file preview (PDFs and other doc types) is extremely slow. I think the upload is also fairly slow.

Another limiting feature is the license. it's per user based. So if you have team members that scarcely use it, compared to daily usage, the return of investment isn't that great.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress ShareFile:**

I guess the only benefit is control over file privacy. but if you are used to using cloud based services like Dropbox etc. I don't think it will ever meet your requirements. Oh and the license is per user based and I find that limiting.

**What problems is Progress ShareFile solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With global firms, virtual teams ... it's crucial to have a system that allows them to collaborate. Even though sharefile is not collaboration, our designers use this to share files across the business for downloading, updated concepts ... basically wherever email fails with file size, sharefile is used.

**What do you like best about Progress ShareFile?**

This is an option for access to files offsite the workplace. I work remotely and access to work files via Cotrix has been imperative.

**What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile?**

There is not an easy way to pull files from Citrix to the desktop or other external programs. Also, the connectivity is rather slow for me vs. just working out of other programs (Gmail, Dropbox, etc).

**What problems is Progress ShareFile solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remote wor environment

**What do you like best about Progress ShareFile?**

UI poorly designed. I did not find it easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile?**

**What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile?**

  ### 27. It was the most painful IT transitions we have ever done. Painful going in and painful leaving.

**What do you like best about Progress ShareFile?**

It sounded great, but did not work for us. Despite detailed information about our clients and our usage, the sales person assured us that the transition would be seamless. Not so.

**What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile?**

My clients could not open their emails from us. Most of our customers work at financial institutions and their firewalls rejected the sharefile protocols. Our system crashed more than once.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress ShareFile:**

Never

**What problems is Progress ShareFile solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We went to a different solution within weeks.

We were able to share applications through our network.

  ### 29. So much for taking customer security seriously

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Progress ShareFile?**

Used this service as part of my mortgage lender process. Seemed easy enough to use. good functionality

**What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile?**

Total lack of security and negligent unrequested unsecured transmission of personal files.

Even though right signature use encrypted website for processing, it's totally worthless when they simply send unrequested unsecured sensitive PII files in unencrypted plain text email with attachment that any of the dozen dns and isp admins can and will view at their hearts content. Let alone where else these documents reside.

Imagine what people will say if they shipped sensitive documents without at least putting them in envelopes through USPS. This is even worse when it's done electronically.

Seriously though, it's 2015 and this business needs basic security training and control education. Government (NIST) has plenty of standards they can look to implement that go back at least 2 decades. Start with that RightSecurity. Too late for my personal data.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress ShareFile:**

If you care only about functionality, then this will do the job. Make sure you have plenty of insurance for privacy and security risks.

**What problems is Progress ShareFile solving and how is that benefiting you?**

none in my case, I will have to worry about where else my personal record now reside in full sight

  ### 30. RightSignature does not protect credit card information

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2016

**What do you like best about Progress ShareFile?**

seemed fast to sign up but I was wrong about this website.

**What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile?**

I just got a copy of my full credit card information by email. IT HAD ALL MY DATA on the attachment! GEEZ, the reason I had to use right signature was because I have my credit card information fall into the wrong hands- fraudulent use. And that was the 2nd time in 4 months. I am very secure with my information. They do not know how to protect the users if they will email our confidential information!

**What problems is Progress ShareFile solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Giving information so I could update my credit card information on a website.

  ### 31. Great product - AWFUL service

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Professional Training & Coaching | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2016

**What do you like best about Progress ShareFile?**

Signed up for the 30 day trial and was initially really impressed. The programme is easy to use and worked fabulously for transferring large documents to my clients. I was really keen to subscribe, but then.....

**What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile?**

mid-way through my 30 day trial I became unable to log onto my account. I kept getting a message to say an unexpected problem had occurred and technical support had been notified. This went on for several days with no change (meaning I couldn't continue to evaluate the product).
Then a customer service person emailed me (to try and sell me the product), I told him about the product - he just told me to call tech support (didn't offer to help). I contacted the email address for tech support - nothing. I phoned tech support couldn't get through. The sales guy contact me again and despite me saying I didn't want a 15 min demo he just kept on about arranging this. In other words he didn't listen. Not only that by when I told him I STILL (10 days later) couldn't log into my account. He didn't care - all he wanted to do was make sure I signed up for the contract. Why would I do that if I can't even log in.
So - I haven't had 30 days trial to evaluate it. On first sight the product looks perfect for my needs, but if this is how they deal with problems for people they are trying to sell to - what would happen if I'd been paying.
REALLY disappointing that a seemingly good product is let down by awful customer service. Now going to look at Druva.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress ShareFile:**

Product good, but expect dreadful tech support if there's a problem.

**What problems is Progress ShareFile solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sharing of large files with clients whose internal policies prevent the use of Dropbox

  ### 32. Does not work with and Intuit Program - Proseries, Lacerte, Quickbooks.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Derek C. | Owner, Accounting, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 10, 2015

**What do you like best about Progress ShareFile?**

Nothing right now, the program morphed on me, I lost 4-5 hours of productive work time and all they told me what it does not work with Intuit programs. That is unique considering it worked fine from January 1st to October 2nd this year.

**What do you dislike about Progress ShareFile?**

Everything right now, the program messed up right at the end of Tax Season and the customer service people seemed like they did not care. Guess I was to small a fish for them. They tried but guess it was not worth the effort for them to try and fix it.

Also when you send files to people and they try and open it with an Apple Computer or a Cell Phone the file sharing process does not work frequently.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress ShareFile:**

If your a Tax Person or CPA firm do not use Sharefile.

**What problems is Progress ShareFile solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None right now, going to have to stop using this once October 15th is over.
