## Progress Podio Reviews
 ### 1. Daily Podio User

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2017

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

The ability to track all current, future and past projects I am working on, within a single page

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

The amount of subpages and pop ups needed to add client details, and the frustrating feature that if you click outside the designated area you lose your information.

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A centralized database of all projects, leads, and clients in a single location. Further tracking of sales information and better planning and forecasting

 ### 2. Podio has many great features and capabilities but adds an extra tool to manage

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2015

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

Podio does a nice job of acting as a central repository for documents and other resources. The tool is completely customizable, and you can add your own workspaces to track anything you want. There is a library with templates for all kinds of workspaces from bug tracking to project management, to sales, and so on.

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

There are too many notifications for things that are not important. Even though you can turn some of them off it's still an overwhelming amount.

Though it's improving, the search is not very good. It's very difficult to find old conversations or documents.

Even though podio is great for keeping everything in one place, I would not choose to use it again since it just adds another tool that you have to manage.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress Podio:**

You can go very far customizing your workspaces, so you may be able to use Podio for more than you think.

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Podio lets a remote team collaborate and communicate with each other.

 ### 3. My team uses it to keep track of the various tasks necessary for projects to be completed on time.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Writing and Editing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2016

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

It's fairly easy to personalize, especially concerning how the homepage is organized.

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

It can sometimes be a bit convoluted in how some of the projects lead into one another. For example, a main project that everyone on the team can contribute to might have a few sub-projects that offshoot from it, and when that sub-project is updated by the individual responsible, it doesn't directly update the main project.

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Podio helps us to keep track not only of due dates for multiple ongoing projects at once, but it helps see who is assigned to what aspect. It also helps to keep all of the necessary files in one location.

 ### 4. Podio is Confusion

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2017

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

Its a nice way to minimize emails among our organization.

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

I don't really understand the point of it beyond file sharing and conversation. It isn't minimizing my work, its just transferring it to a different platform.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress Podio:**

Make the mission clearer.

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am getting less emails. But I'm still having the same amount of communication, just in a different way.

 ### 5. great project tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2017

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

reliable updates and updates on what others are working on

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

sometimes I miss notifications in my email, not sure if there is an ios app that would help keep me updated

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it's made collaboration between offices much easier by keeping us knowledgable abotu what others are working on and what my contributions need to be.

 ### 6. This software helps me stay organized and know what everyone in the office is working on.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2016

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

Customization, Easy to use, Works well on all devices

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

Wish price were less per user. That is all.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress Podio:**

Take time to think about your process and set Podio up the right way. This product is completely customizable, so it can pretty much do whatever you need it to!

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Moving from all projects on an excel spreadsheet to this was a huge change for some people. It has helped with transparency and knowing where a project stands if someone is out sick.

 ### 7. Absolute Workhorse of a CRM

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cayla L. | Production Assistant, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2016

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

A colleague of mine said it best: Podio is an absolute workhorse. The fact that it syncs with Google Drive for easy importation of information is the biggest perk. We do everything via Google Apps, so content integration is key. It's easy to communicate with coworkers via chat, easy to navigate and set up different workspaces with different levels of users (admin vs. employees vs. clients. vs. contractors, etc).

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

If you're looking for something basic and "easy", this may not be the CRM for you. It can get a bit confusing if you don't have a clear outline of how to use it or how you want to run things.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress Podio:**

If you are looking for a CRM that will help you stay on task and get work done (most likely for large groups of people), this is the CRM for you.

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We do essentially everything through Podio. We have about 50 employees and/or contractors that are working in Podio on a daily basis. We handle all of our client and customer data along with daily tasks like reporting, outreach, etc. Everything is very streamlined and searchable if lost. The apps are one of a kind. The workflows work flawlessly so nothing is left behind. There are reminders, auto tasks, and so much more. I can't say enough about how this CRM has advanced our business and

 ### 8. I used it when I started a Real Estate Investing firm with a friend

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Will R. | Sales Planner, Internet, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2016

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

I liked the tools associated with this product. I found that this was a great way to hone in on exactly the demo we were looking for.

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

I wish I had some tutorial or learning tool for this. I learned how to navigate the site though.

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were trying to get warm leads using Podio. Managing our portfolio for the real estate firm.

 ### 9. Absolutely LOVE Podio

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 29, 2016

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

Easiest way to stay on top of things as a team. What I love most are the apps, really gives you fresh perspectives on how to organize your work better.

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

The UI could be prettier, more welcoming to enjoy.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress Podio:**

Just do it

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Stay organized in a fast-moving and multi-located office.
More focused workflow and output.

 ### 10. Not bad, but not great

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Renewables & Environment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2017

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

Social media-like communication, good way to share info with a group

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

The way all information, options, and shared files are filed and shown is not very user-friendly. They whole design could be better, more intuitive

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Use to communicate and organize between committee members for two volunteer positions

 ### 11. Super useful project management application

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sean M. | Sr Multimedia Graphic Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2016

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

Podio offers a free version of their application that allows you to get a feel for the product and how to make it work for you. It's a very intuitive application with a lot of features that can aid in organizing projects and campaigns without any fees (up to 5 users). Each user can customize their work space for their own job responsibility and effectively communicate project statuses to the rest of the team.

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

It's a little bit overwhelming when you get started. There are a lot of features that I can't say I even know how to use yet. That being said, if you have a team to coordinate projects, take some time for implementation.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress Podio:**

Spend time on implementation and training. There is a lot to learn and a lot of ways to accomplish the same task, so each user should take time to customize and learn the functions that pertain to their job description.

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Project management is key in efficiency. Podio allows your team to have access to all the same information in a workflow that makes sense. Create and assign tasks; update the status for the rest of the team to see; include notes and prioritize a number of projects at once.

 ### 12. Fully Customization Available for your CRM

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2016

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

I absolutely love the various features available in Podio. The ability to customize modules to suit your business needs is exactly what we want. Our prior CRM was dull and did not allow us to add features that we needed. Podio is a one stop shop for the backend of our real estate company, I wouldn't change it at all.

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

Since you can customize Podio to suit your needs, it was difficult in the beginning to figure out where to start. We also have an older generation of staff in our office, who found Podio difficult to adapt to in the beginning. Other than the learning curve however, we love it!

**Recommendations to others considering Progress Podio:**

If you get stuck, contact support! They get right back to you and are incredibly good at what they do!

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our CRM, client & listing history, and marketing are all in one place. Agents and staff are constantly on the go, and Podio allows us to connect from anywhere.

 ### 13. Easy to get started

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anne M. | Manager, Bonus Program, Law Practice, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2017

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

Easy to get started using it. Great list of pre-made apps.

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

Hard to troubleshoot bugs in apps. Needs better calendar views for project management. Limited features for resource allocation and risk management.

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Project management

 ### 14. Podio review

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nick P. | Media Coordinator, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2017

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

It is easy to share and get reminders. ,,

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

sort of clunky in the way it works m,. m,.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress Podio:**

use the tutorials to follow how to set up. it helps

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

communication between everyone at the office has increased.

 ### 15. Great CRM!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Investment Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2016

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

I love the many facets of the system. There are so many apps to add and create! You have the ability to mention people, which emails them and allows you to be reminded of any task you or someone else gave!

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

Linking to other systems such as freshbooks and quickbooks is a challenge. Other than that, I don't have any dislikes. It works very well and can be modified to your specific business

**Recommendations to others considering Progress Podio:**

Try it out! See what it does for your company. It can be used in any industry from real estate to property management to manufacturing to accounting!

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are trying to keep our customers and their information organized in one location. We want to ensure that everyone in our company sees what is going on with every customer and able to help out when the main point of contact cant.

 ### 16. Podio Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hardik S. | Product Management - Cloud Security Analytics, Data Platform, APIs & Visualizations, Computer & Network Security, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2016

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

Best enterprise social app for collaboration. Easy to set it up, easy to manage and easy to use. Price point is right. We were able to eliminate 40% of the email communication due to this tool and the information is accessible and available to all assigned employees anytime to review and provide status on. Great tool to keep the team appraised of everything that goes into the business.

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

Performance is slow sometimes. Navigation and UI design could be better. Should have more options for categories to be introduced and tracked.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress Podio:**

Do not recommend given current situation of its owner (Citrix)

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Information collaboration, status updates, internal small project managements and product management requirement process through sales and field teams

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

It's flexible, you can create you flow, allow integrate with others platforms and have nice reports.

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

Sometimes is not fast, I think that Podio team can work on that because the platform is incredible, but need to be fast too.

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Small problems, financial, stock and persons.

 ### 19. Podio if you want to go pro

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark M. | President, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Overall operational management of company.

This system can swiftly get you up an running in no time.. owned by citrix it is a great product!

 ### 20. Good product but needs a few changes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2016

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

It was easy to learn and quick to figure out. I had a 10 minute training session and was able to navigate and use. I only had rare times that I needed help after that. It was set up by someone else but was easy for me being the end user. Love that it kept the tasks current and was instant between co-workers

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

I don't like that each section was separate and you can't look at one file and see all the pieces. At times, it was very frustrating. I often had to search to find what others had input. It took some time which slowed down my production.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress Podio:**

Realize each piece is separate like a flow chart

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are tracking houses and when they sell. This product is great for keeping track of where the projets were within the office and you know if it's done or what's left to finish.

 ### 21. Great Product An Alternative to SalesForce

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jose G. | Founder, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2016

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

I like the different apps you can connect to this within Podio to manage your leads and assign different variants.

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

Nothing.I love everything about this product its a toss up really between this and Hubspot CRM.

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Connecting my lead inquiries to a system that would notify me immediately. I get the inquire and now its instant for our team to call back.

 ### 22. Fairly easy to use with lots of functionality.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2016

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

Many options for setting up modules within workspaces. Easy to use for collaboration.

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

Once you have a lot of information, it can be hard to find things. Notification settings are not granular enough so notifications are either too much or not enough.

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Podio for project management. It helps us collaborate and wrangle all project assets in one place.

 ### 23. Podio is a life saver!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2016

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

Having all of the information I need available quickly. It also helps me stay on top of my campaigns and what needs to be done for each day.

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

How everything is tracked on the side, sometimes I feel that is unnecessary. I also wish we were able to incorporate google documents and or spreadsheets into the automated updated when I create my campaigns.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress Podio:**

It is helpful that you can tailor Podio to your company needs.

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Staying on top of all my campaigns and being aware of what needs to be taken care of each day. Occasionally things will be a quick turn around so it is helpful seeing everything on my dashboard so I know what needs to happen first or what information I still need!

 ### 24. Good option for team communication and documentation

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2016

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

The easy nature of the product makes it very easy for the team to pick up and run with; it has obviously taken direction at some level from Facebook, which is familiar territory for nearly all users.

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

Much of the project management addons leave a lot to be desired, which makes it not quite as impressive an offering as it might be - with the project management fixed it could challenge the atlassian suite

**Recommendations to others considering Progress Podio:**

Trial it first - these kinds of products either fit your team or they don't, and without team buy-in this product isn't useful.

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gave us a central point to collaborate on projects, have documentation and store our documentation.

 ### 25. Good, but lacks flexibility

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2016

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

- Ease of use of central functionality
- Lots of features

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

It seems like some of the features are workarounds/hacks, to shove more functionality into a standard package.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress Podio:**

Try it out, and see if it fits - it's risk free.

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a tool for internal communication, planning and management of common areas (meeting rooms etc.)

 ### 26. Mostly good with a few hiccups

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2016

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

I like the ability to have a shared platform for work with people across many organizations. It is easy to upload work and share with group members.

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

I do not like the way in which documents are stored and how it is difficult to see when things have been updated. For some reason the documents are listed in chronological order meaning the newest documents are at the bottom, which seems counter-intuitive.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress Podio:**

Definitely useful for sharing documents across organizations.

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving having a shared space and platform for collaboration across organizations. It has definitely been a useful tool for inter-organizational work. I also realize that there are several more functions we have not utilized that may make it more organized.

 ### 27. Solid PM tool

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rob L. | Associate Creative Arts Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2016

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

Podio is very customizable and can be used for a range of applications.

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

Its strength is one of its weaknesses. They say "a jack of all trades is a master of none." This tool lacks capabilities that a more specialized project management tool would have.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress Podio:**

Take advantage of the onboarding support that they provide with premium plans.

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it essentially as a database for information regarding our marketing clietns.

 ### 28. Podio is a great project manager for web development projects

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexandra H. | Marketing Director, Health, Wellness and Fitness, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2016

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

I like how easy the interface is to use. It seems to have everything needed for web dev projects.

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

At the beginning I found it difficult to use because I got confused about which project was which. It was just a learning curve.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress Podio:**

I think it's a good software tool to try out.

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving the problem of organizing communication with our developers.

 ### 29. Podio project management system used to manage Marketing, creative services, and web design team

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2016

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

Easy to use communications, easily to track past projects, ability for project manager to track and manage all projects

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

clunky and limited in the free version. not enough admin controls

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we have a very small team who produce a lot of content and contribute to a lot of diverse projects for the university. it helps us to streamline the work, prioritize jobs/projects, and keep partners, vendors, and clients all up to date.

 ### 30. Great project management & collaboration app

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2016

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

Podio makes it easy to manage and collaborate on projects across departments and clients.

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

Sometimes it's almost TOO good at facilitating collaboration – we forget to get up from our desks and talk face to face, relying a bit too heavily on tasks and comments!

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're able to be more effective and efficient as marketers with Podio, as it streamlines the internal communication process and enables everyone to be in the loop on the latest developments on a certain project (whether they've been directly involved in them or not). It's also provided our company with greater transparency and awareness that have led to a courteous, communicative workplace.

 ### 31. Podio

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

 ### 32. An excellent tool for managing projects

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2016

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

Podio is excellent at keeping track of project information and what the rest of your team is doing. I also really like that it has many extensions that directly contribute to project management like the bug report feature.

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

There isn't much I dislike about Podio. It is an excellent tool for project management. I would like a Kanban board, but other than that, there is very little to complain about.

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Podio helps us keep track of project progress for all of the different projects our team manages.

 ### 33. Great experience.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2016

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

It is very intuitive and easy to compartmentalize and assign tasks.

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

The limitations on the free version of the software.

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automation and collaboration.

 ### 34. Podio Experience

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2016

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

The price and customer service. It is very easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

There isn't a save button and it doesn't integrate with many other systems.

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sales Process & Pipeline. The benefits are the cost for the amount of users.

 ### 35. Pretty good tool but could be a potential game changer

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2016

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

The interface is pretty easy on the eye and it allows for a good deal of customization without the need for deep expertise about how databases work and how db relationships work.

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

It becomes cumbersome and tedious to use the view when there is a large amount of data. We also run frequently into the issue of having to edit multiple records at once but that seems to be a feature that is not supported and it really is very hindering for most basic operations.

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're trying to organize and connect internal administrative data for use by the employees into a database that allows for different roles to interact with the data. It works great for the consumers of the information but it appears to be a little bit tediuos for the people who enter the data. For example, we use an app to view the status of our projects. It works great if you want to check how things are going but it needs a lot of effort to update things.

 ### 36. Uh huh

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

Great for collaborating and organizing client assets

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

The fact that it won't allow admins to create automations with ease

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organization
Retrieval of client information

 ### 37. podio

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2016

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

you can get many people involved quickly

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

too many messages as everyone is commenting, emails ar eannoying too, because so many people can work on the project it tends to get overcomplicated as everyone is giving their opinion on everything

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

planning

 ### 38. Condition sample

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2016

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

It's getting a lot of popularity and the value is worth considering

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

It's too complex at times and has lots of depth but not easy to understand

**Recommendations to others considering Progress Podio:**

Use it with emphasis on tech

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To fix common IT issues

 ### 39. Podio - Easy to use but not feature rich

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2016

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

Easy to use. Intuitive and easy to share projects.

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

Not very feature rich. Does not capture sub tasks or sub-task assignments.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress Podio:**

Think about the depth of project management required. If the requirements are slim, then this could be a good fit.

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Project Management. Better access to project action items, due dates and responsible parties.

 ### 40. The best project manager ever

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

So easy to use. It integrates with the software we use

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

Email integration. Would like to track emails sent to clients in their workspace.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress Podio:**

Great project manager. Have patience and you can build it to suit your company, workflow and your procedures.

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organizing client accounts, organizing info and integrating with social media

 ### 41. Great Customization to Fit All My Needs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lee W. | Owner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2016

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

Customization - can configure the workspace for anything from lead management to advanced workflow!

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

Seemed difficult to get started as there are so many options. Once able to dive in and really understand the product, I fell in love with it!!

**Recommendations to others considering Progress Podio:**

Give it a try but be patient with yourself. The system can do so much and it takes some time to really understand which way you use it effectively.

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

using podio to not only retrieve web lead data but also organize incoming calls and assign qualify leads to reps

 ### 42. Podio web based platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2016

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

A web-based platform for organizing team communication, business processes, data and content in project management workspaces

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

Nothing to dislike and its very unique in market used for communication , data and content in project

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Project managment

 ### 43. Looks nice, but doesn't quite do the trick.

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2015

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

There's not a lot that I like about Podio. At first glance, the interface seems great. The platform is very robust, and does allow for a lot of customization for specific teams' work flows, but that's about as far as I can go with the likes.

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

Every feature on Podio feels like it's been tacked on as an after-thought. I can generally find a way to do what I want in Podio, but it's almost never in a way that makes sense.

Our biggest use case is to organize projects and facilitate communication within our small (less than 20 people) team. To that end, we can create projects and share information - but it's a constant exercise of figuring out how to share the information in such a way that your other team mates will find it and get use out of it.

- "Tasks" are a half-brained poorly thought out and barely useful (even, usable) feature.
- "Projects" lack organizational features (like labeling or organizing project assets eg, documents, image assets, pdfs, etc) and conversation/discussion tools beyond a constant consciousness comment stream that is mixed with project activity.
- "Projects" lack a way to filter projects that *you* are involved with or are following.
- There is so much noise with all the activity streams, comments, workspace notifications, etc. It is like using Facebook to try to get work done.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress Podio:**

If your work tends to have 100% defined processes that never vary, Podio might work for you. But if you work in a space where the most common processes are 1) Sell the client your service 2) ?????? 3) Get paid, then you might have issues building processes in Podio that will facilitate more efficient communication and project management.

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're attempting to solve issues with communication, collaboration, and knowledge sharing. It feels like we have to beat Podio into submission every step of the way. Instead of communicating more efficiently, we're just communicating more.

 ### 44. Simple way to manage the sales process and customer relationship management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jim F. | Customer Experience Champion, Professional Training & Coaching, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2016

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

Simple and easy to use with tons of in-app training, "how-to's" and support.

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

nothing, but there is so much functionality, I only use a smll piece of the full functionality...

**Recommendations to others considering Progress Podio:**

If you struggle with a systematic and organized pipeline management process, Podio could be a huge asset to your business. And, the team is very helpful and responsive.

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing the business development/sales process can be difficult, with Podi, I esilu automate the process and stay organized - the result, better pipeline management and higher revenues.

 ### 45. The future of work and the easiest way to cloud based client interaction

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emre T. | Director of Talent Management and Analytics, Staffing and Recruiting, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2015

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

It's extremely easy to get started and customize based on existing procedures and data structures such as getting Excel sheets to clouds as Apps. Podio also connects with other cloud based platforms including Google Apps, Box, Dropbox etc. Onboarding new users requires minimal effort.

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

Limited customizability in terms of authorization and access to various apps. It doesn't allow advanced user access control. It also does not support native email tracking which requires third party development for a consistent CRM experience. It requires understanding of activity feeds and social collaboration features.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress Podio:**

Do your research in terms of user access and the partition the data accordingly. It is highly cost efficient and ideal for small agile teams that work around the clock such as web developers, marketing agencies and non-profits.

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Podio helps us manage a distributed workforce across the globe and manage client interaction. It helped us scale our existing resources by eliminating the need for scheduling conference calls.

 ### 46. Very nice, clean and easily extendible tool for marketing agencies!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2015

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

clean, modern user interface. Usability of the tool, the infinite possibilities to extend the tool with the apps for so many domain and expertise areas

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

1) not easy to see the tasks completed by other people if I use the "Check" button on the top panel of the tool and go to "All completed tasks" (it should be possible to filter others' tasks by person by selecting that person, otherwise I see so many tasks completed by myself since my name starts with A and would need hours to see the tasks completed by others) 2) i cannot explain the limit they have (why or why) for the tasks which can be associated with a project profile

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

project management, customer relationship management, lead management

 ### 47. Not the best project management software

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2016

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

I'm honestly not sure what I like "best." I'd say Podio is decent for things like file sharing and creating internal forms.

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

Podio is cumbersome, lacks external integration capabilities, and simply can't compete with competing project management/communication tools like Slack, Basecamp, or Asana. Honestly, even Google Drive or Dropbox will likely do more for your business than Podio.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress Podio:**

I would strongly encourage readers to try other software before considering—let alone investing in—Podio.

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The eternal, somewhat nebulous problem of "project management"—assigning tasks, coordinating files, and the like.

 ### 48. Project Management Made easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mary Y. | Accountant, Accounting, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2015

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

With globalization, it is important to be able to interact with colleges from different locations around the world. This also assists in diversity of idea's for our projects which makes them so much of a success. The interface is simple and very easy to learn the interface with minimal time. The ability to organize different groups is also helpful.

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

There is nothing to dislike about Podio.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress Podio:**

Try it and you ill love it.

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ability to interact with staff globally to better improve our projects. This has helped us achieve this.

 ### 49. Lost 6 months of effort. No backups by Podio

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Publishing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2015

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

excellent CRM apps. much easier to make changes to preset field values on the fly than any other CRM

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

Working on a pre-startup for 6 months, using one of their available CRM apps. Worked beautifully, much better than competition for my purposes. 70,000 data points covering 4,000 artists were entered & stored.

Then poof! One day my account wasn't there. Calling/emailing support was futile. They insisted I must have deleted it. They have no comprehensive backup of any kind. For a company that purports to support commercial businesses in the cloud, this is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. PAIN BEYOND BELIEF! MY WHOLE PROJECT/STARTUP GONE FOREVER. I can't imagine redoing it. I will never use them again & will minutely investigate & test any future cloud CRM solution re: backups/restores.

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trying to develop CRM for website focused on American Portraiture.

 ### 50. Podio. The next big thing in project management? Maybe.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim I. | CEO, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2014

**What do you like best about Progress Podio?**

The simplicity and quality of its user experience. There is a bit of adjusting to using workspaces for clients but the links between the system make it super easy to get around. I also like that it's easy to create your own apps that have a lot of different setting that allow you to customize what users can do in the apps as well what notifications are generated in your timeline.

Also, the unlimited storage is a winner in my book. Most other systems charge based on the amount of storage you need. That was one of the selling points for us.

**What do you dislike about Progress Podio?**

Two things. The calendar is funky. You can't manage the calendar directly without using an app. It's not practical for adding simple dates or for collaboration with other's calendars . It does export nicely to Google Calendar but I'd much rather use one system.

Second, I hate the email functionality. I would of loved to see some native email functionality. We are using a 3rd party app currently to record email conversations which is kinda working. The only way you can send emails currently is through things like assigning tasks or meetings.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress Podio:**

Make the most of Workspaces. One nice feature is the ability to create customer workspaces and then invite the customer to the workspace for collaboration purposes. You can lock down apps to restrict customers from being able to change things but they can still comment and interact with the different apps.

**What problems is Progress Podio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

WebEx Office is going away and we're using Podio as it's replacement. We're using it to store customer file and records as well as the CRM functionality.
