"Great for Project Management/Task Management / CRM Tool" 3/5 What do you like best about Progress Podio? Flexible, fully customizable to your needs. I mostly used it for project and task management, and it was great. It is more like Microsoft Access. There are several apps available in their marketplace meeting almost all basic requirements. UI remains mostly the same for all apps and data feeding. It takes some time to get used to it. If this can be customized by a few templates, app would be really really good. Projects were of short duration. Sometimes they had too much data to capture while some other time data was very less. Podio helped to capture them. That is quick to update online. I like that there's an app too. The other upside is that you can customize it. This is also a downside because it takes a lot to customize. There's several pre-loaded packages you can download but I found this to be more hassle than it was worth. I was hoping for something super simple yet efficient to grow my business. Podio is not the easiest or most intuitive tool to use, especially compared to other tools out there that can have similar features, depending on your use case. We've started to leverage Asana and it works better for our project management needs with the same functionality that we received from Podio, but an easier to use and cleaner interface. Their interface could be updated, it feels a little old-fashioned and is not the most intuitive. I have also worked with Asana and it was more modern (even though the sheer amount of features it had made it a little overwhelming). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Progress Podio: I would have a good look at all the different options to see which one offers the best quality for what you pay for. Also, keep in mind that there might be options with more features out there, but perhaps you don't need them... which means that Podio, even though it's a little basic, might be more than enough and you can potentially lower your expenses by choosing it. My client uses it to establish deadlines, assign tasks to each team member and we even hand in the content via the platform. Their messaging system is also very convenient. The particular feature I like most about Podio, is the fact that you can hand out tasks to other people. They can see the deadline and description of what you ask and get a reminder every now and then as the deadline gets closer. Podio works with different apps per workspace, but I would like to be able to customize these apps a bit more. There is an option to design an app yourself, but still options are very limited.
