The UI is excellent even though technically is it a (S)FTP server. Auditing is fully developed and it integrates with Entra nicely. Because of the ease of use, the ROI is excellent as onboarding can be very quick. The performance is good, large files don't takes ages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Of course there was a major security issue a few years back but it was solved quickly and our company wasn't affected in the end as far as we know of course. What problems is Progress MOVEit solving and how is that benefiting you? Usine MOVEit allows us to use file sharing management with full visibility and audit trails. What I like about MoveIT Automation is its versatility and its simplicity. Whether you're managing file transfers between servers, synchronising data between systems, or scheduling routine tasks, this platform provides a flexible and customizable solution. Its drag-and-drop interface makes it easy to create and modify workflows, allowing me to tailor automation processes to my needs without extensive programming knowledge. I would prefer more streamlined updates within the application. As it stands now, I have to manually download the updated version of the application and update it accordingly. The web user interface is easy to navigate and provides a very gentle learning curve for new users. The supporting documentation is generally excellent, and the community seem very responsive. We use the MOVEit extensively on our own servers and to connect to third parties. Performance is very rarely an issue. It connects easily to a range of different host types Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Progress MOVEit? There have been a number of security scares over the years. Sometimes more complicated file transfer processes are difficult to create due to slightly odd choices about what can and can't be done with "macros". Connections with some host types have limited options, not always making it easy to secure the connections in the way we'd prefer. I'm also not a fan of using commas rather than semi-colons to separate email addresses. Third Party encryption key importing is one of the most commonly encountered problems 2. Latency while transferring a huge dataset 3. Sometimes the workflow builder is slightly tedious on advanced task building. For instance deleting multiple items at once does not exist. If we could checkbox steps and delete all at once, it would be better. This is more a quality of life tool that is needed. Also better object based workflow building would be great.
