One of Marklogic's primary strengths is its ability to provide support for your data storage (as a document data-store) and well as a server for your rest services (for a data access layer). Loved its ability to deploy in AWS via CloudFormationTemplates. Liked its build in dashboards and Admin WebUI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Progress MarkLogic? Licensing cost is very high. AWS costs to cover instances large enough to do what we needed were significant. Amount of space required to store (xml) data seemed excessive - which translated to even higher costs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Progress MarkLogic solving and how is that benefiting you? Without disclosing the specifics of our business, the solution required high volume data ingestion and analysis.
