What do you like best about Progress Kendo UI?

Progress Kendo UI includes over 110 cross-browser JavaScript UI components that closely mimic their desktop counterparts. For me, they fill the gap where Visual Studio either has nothing or forces you into using a server-side control. I've been using it on nearly a daily basis for close to 10 years. Implementation and integration are relatively painless, and I've yet to find any components with no documentation. I've never really had to use customer support because the documentation is straightforward, and anything I'm unsure about can usually be answered in the forums. What do you dislike about Progress Kendo UI?

Sometimes the sheer number of components and how they're categorized can make it challenging to know about all of them and/or to locate the appropriate documentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best Product Support I have known"
5/5
What do you like best about Progress Kendo UI?

The product support guys are very knowledgeable and of great help - I hope you pay them well.

Projects never fail when using Telerik controls - they will never let you down. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Progress Kendo UI?

You dont provide enough ammo to convince the business that your controls are any better than Syncfusion (they are of course), so when the Biz says that all 3rd party control vendors are toxic (based on the hell of Syncfusion angular) you don't have any ammo for me to show you you are different - you need a lot more use cases.

Also, getting a one-developer lic is doable, but getting a team its ridiculous. This is why we move moved to Vuetify (or https://m3.material.io/components for react) because of the cost of ownership.

The total cost of ownership for a Dev Team is excessive. So you need to have a split of the developers that just include the CDN on their web page and those that raise support requests. That is you pay for a support contract.

I only use Telerik now for my personal projects, because, 20 developer (anyone could work on any project that may or may not touch a DLL or JS of Telerik). Thats when it gets crazy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Generally good controls..."
3/5
What do you like best about Progress Kendo UI?

There are a lot of features and in general, the controls have been pretty easy to maintain. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Progress Kendo UI?

I greatly dislike all the changes in the last year. Just recently, I had a chance to update our site to those, since there was a major change from the previous years. MANY of our users have had issues with the old styles being cached and the controls not working at all. CTRL+F5 fixes it, BUT we still have to go through that with all of them... The Grid has a broken page size selector, which at least is a known error being worked on, but that caused our users more issues. The Hybrid components going away also caused more issues that I'm still working on. We've had the Telerik control suite since before the Kendo controls existed, and this last year of changes with Kendo has been the worst we've had so far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great UI framework for simple to complex use cases"
4/5
What do you like best about Progress Kendo UI?

Very easy to get started to build UI components and integrate in your existing stack. The number of components provided by the framework are quite enough for a variety of use cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Progress Kendo UI?

The css or the look and feel of the components seem dated or non-fluid.

Performance of the components for a high amount of data creates a bottleneck depending on your implementation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
