"Powerful AI Visibility and Data Insights That Elevate Workflows"
5/5
What do you like best about Profound?

There are agents and insight into the data shown for AI visibility and citations, also developing out workflows with profound data readily available to help weigh its success based on historical data is amazing! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Profound?

I believe this is something that they are working to roll out, as I have seen more and more of this since I started using the tool back in late 2025, but if more data points could be more interactive and exportable, as well as easier connections with third party reporting tools, that would be great! "Exceptional Support and Innovative Features"
5/5
What do you like best about Profound?

I really appreciate Profound's customer support and their success team, who are fantastic and lovely to talk to. They're constantly updating with new features, which is great. Their price point is very reasonable compared to competitors. I enjoy talking to our contacts who inform us of ways to be more efficient with our strategy and the tool itself. They're constantly developing new tools, like the one for fact checking, which is really useful for my government clients. Profound also makes it easy for me to craft a strong narrative and refine my strategy to present to clients effectively. The initial setup was super easy because they handle a large portion of the work but also allow me to take control of elements if I want. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Profound?

I have no complaints for Profound and find their tool and capabilities are more than sufficient for our needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"AVP, SEO at Level Agency"
4/5
What do you like best about Profound?

Being on Profound puts you at the cutting edge of a space that's moving fast. AI visibility is still early enough that having any structured data around how LLMs answer questions — and where your clients show up — is more than most agencies can say. It's forced our team to think differently about what "search visibility" even means, and that thinking has real value regardless of where the tooling goes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Profound?

There's not much flexibility for early adopters who took a bet on the space before it was proven, and the per-domain model makes it hard to scale across a client portfolio without the math working against you, especially when pricing options didn't exist when we first engaged Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Game-Changer for AI Visibility and Website Optimization Recommendations"
5/5
What do you like best about Profound?

I’ve been using Profound for months and transformed how we approach AI-driven search optimization. The platform gives us much-needed clarity and control over how our brand appears across generative search engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews which is an area that previously felt like a black box.

One of the most valuable capabilities is the ability to build agents that can perform recurring weekly or monthly workflows for us. For example, we can use agents to monitor the health of our website, track visibility trends, surface content or technical issues, and provide regular updates without needing to manually pull all of that information together ourselves. That has the potential to save a lot of time while helping us stay proactive about our AI search performance.

The one thing to note is that agents can take a while to complete when the workflows are especially long or complex. But overall, the ability to automate ongoing analysis and turn AI search insights into repeatable processes has been incredibly valuable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Profound?

While Profound is powerful, the workflows can be tricky to build at first. Even with the help of the workflow agent, it can take a fair amount of back and forth to get more complex workflows set up correctly and running the way we want them to. Once they’re working, they’re very useful, but the initial setup process can require patience and iteration.

Another area we’d love to see improved is page-level performance tracking. Right now, we can track specific page performance by manually adding web pages to a list, which works, but it can be time-consuming if we want visibility across a larger portion of the website. It would be helpful to have an easier, more scalable way to monitor performance across pages on the site without needing to manually curate every URL. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful AI visibility and agentic workflows with exceptional feature velocity"
5/5
What do you like best about Profound?

The dashboards are easy to read and quick to load. We get useful trends and actionable insights almost immediately. There is transparent and granular prompt tracking, where we can see the exact response for all major LLM models, rather than just an aggregate visibility score. The competitive benchmarking feature works well and gives us a clearer view of how we stack up against others in our space.

The sentiment and brand analysis tools are especially useful, not only can we see what AI is saying about us, but we can detect hallucinations or inaccuracies and respond accordingly (great for reputation management).

Profound Agents have made it easy to build agentic workflows, completing time-intensive tasks quickly and in the background, freeing me up for bigger thinking. They have the ability to connect to multiple data sources (including Profound data) and chain LLM requests. Evergreen content refreshes and content ideation are now a breeze.

Strong, responsive customer support through Slack.

Pricing is fair and transparent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Profound?

The platform is constantly improving, which is great, but sometimes new features change the layout or move things around. It can take a minute to reorient and find what you need after an update. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive UI, Fast Updates, and Top-Tier Support"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Profound?

First off, the UI is incredibly well-designed. When you're dealing with complex metrics like prompt volumes and tracking specific bot crawl behaviors (Agent Analytics), things can get cluttered fast. Profound manages to keep the interface clean and highly intuitive. Looking through the platform, it was obvious my team would be able to dive right in and start pulling Answer Engine Insights without needing weeks of onboarding. It’s very user-friendly and easy to use.

Another huge plus is their development velocity. The AI search space literally changes week to week, and Profound is consistently pushing out meaningful updates to keep pace with new models and shifting algorithms. You never feel like the tool is falling behind. On top of that, their team is top-tier—they actually understand the technical weeds of LLM data ingestion and were incredibly responsive and consultative throughout our entire review process.

I’ll be upfront: it is expensive. It definitely sits in the premium tier when comparing competitors in the market. You absolutely get what you pay for. Having granular, actionable data on AI search visibility is now table stakes for clients. If your team has the budget and is serious about owning the zero-click landscape, Profound easily justifies the cost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Profound?

The price it is expensive. But you also get what you pay for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable Monitoring with Great Cost-Benefit"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Profound?

I like how up-to-date the Profound tool is and appreciate that their team is always attentive to new topics. I also find it valuable to be able to monitor my brand's presence in AIs and organize my prompts into categories. The ability to integrate with my log to analyze bot visits to pages is quite useful. Profound offers the best cost-benefit among monitoring options, as it is cheaper than some other tools and provides quality that is worthwhile. The tool has proven reliable, and I consider its monitoring more accurate than that of other GEO tools. I follow the founder on LinkedIn, and he always shares interesting topics. Furthermore, the monitoring process was easy to set up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Profound?

What I miss in Profound is being able to monitor things other than my brand name and the names of other brands. There is no visualization interface for this, which forces you to export data and view it externally. The prompt generation and volume part is also not 100%, but I understand that there are market limitations and anonymity issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Boosts AI Visibility and Competitor Insights"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Profound?

I like that I'm able to track whether my clients are being cited or mentioned in AI answers, which is super beneficial. I also really like being able to monitor competitor visibility within AI search; I think that's something that a lot of other third-party platforms are lacking. Profound has the most functionality and is the most effective for measuring AI visibility and finding opportunities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Profound?

I think an external dashboard to be able to share with clients would be really helpful. Being able to send them the dashboard and then being able to toggle dates instead of having to send individual reports for certain date ranges. I know that there are agents, but sometimes clients just want a simple dashboard to look at data. Setting up the prompts can definitely be finicky. For some clients, it had to be a lot more specific, and it felt very manual. And at the time, there was no monthly search volume or prompt volume available, so I was just going off of keyword volume from a keyword tracking platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Clear, Easy Insights into Our Brand’s AI Search Visibility"
5/5
What do you like best about Profound?

Profund makes it really easy to understand how our brand is showing up in AI search. Before using it it was hard to know what ChtGPT, Perplexity, Gemini etc were actually saying about our competitors or us. The platform gives a clear view of where we are being mentioned, what sources are influencing the answers, and where we have gaps.

I also like that it does not feel overly complicated. The insights are easy to understand and actually useful for marketing Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Profound?

There is a bit of a learning curve at the start, mainly because AI search visibility is a fairly new area. Some of the terminology and reports take a little time to get your head around.

I would also like to see more guidance on what actions to take next from certain insights. The data is strong, but sometimes you still need to work out the best next step yourself. Overall though, it is really useful too and feels ahead of the others we have tried. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The Best Platform for Tracking AI Share of Voice and Scaling Reach Through Agentic Workflows"
5/5
What do you like best about Profound?

The strongest feature of Profound, for our use case, is how it takes incredibly complex AI search data and makes it accessible through a highly intuitive UI/UX. Before using it, figuring out if models like ChatGPT or Perplexity were citing us over competitors required hours of manual prompting. Now, Profound's clean dashboards give us an immediate, easy-to-read benchmark of our AI Share of Voice (SOV) and brand citations in real-time. The platform performs incredibly well, loading vast amounts of data without any lag.

The intelligence of the platform doesn't stop at passive analytics, it extends to execution. The Agentic Workflows feature provides massive, tangible ROI by allowing us to take direct action on the data. We are actively using these AI agents to automate and scale our content projects, boosting our reach, impressions, and direct conversions in a fraction of the time it used to take.

Furthermore, the Prompt Volumes Analytics and Agent Crawler Insights have become indispensable to our broader strategy. Getting visibility into actual AI search demand, seeing the specific prompts users feed into these models and how AI crawlers interact with our pages, has helped us uncover high-value gaps we would have completely missed otherwise. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Profound?

Really had to say as the platform does exactly what it promises really well. If I had to provide a "wishlist" item for future updates, it would simply be around closed-loop attribution.

Right now, Profound is incredible for tracking top-of-funnel AI visibility, brand citations, and Share of Voice. However, cleanly tying those specific AI metrics directly to bottom-line revenue or downstream conversions for executive reporting still requires some manual data stitching on our end.

Having a direct, automated bridge between our AI performance metrics and tangible revenue would make reporting to senior management completely effortless. That said, I know AI search attribution is a brand new, industry-wide challenge right now, and Profound is already leaps and bounds ahead of the curve in giving us visibility!
