## ProductPlan Reviews
  ### 1. Great for Managing Multiple Roadmaps, would benefit from bespoke support package to get more

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark B. | Global ROV Product Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I appreciate that I can combine several roadmaps and dependencies into a single view. This feature makes it much easier to manage and track everything in one place.

It is also easy to move around things when dates and timings change, by drag dropping a bar/container ect.

The colouring system keeps a clean look and allows you to quickly identify task-types.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

Over the past three years, we have worked with several different customer success representatives. Each time a new person joins, it becomes challenging to start over, especially since our product is quite complex and large. It often takes considerable time to bring someone up to speed on our operations and requirements.

I believe that Fugro, in particular, would greatly benefit from a more tailored support approach—one that can also partially grasp the technical use cases of our products.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pulling together many parts of a wider scale product into more granular details.

  ### 2. Easy to Use Built-out Product with Excellent Onboarding and Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Darren S. | Product Owner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

The overall functionality accomplishes what it sets out to do and is easy to use. Additionally, I think their onboarding process is smooth and post-go-live follow ups with account reps to make sure you are fully set up for success is great!

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

Overall there is nothing I genuinely dislike, obviously every use case is different and it's tough to please every partner but I think if I had to mention 1 thing it would be that it does not accomplish as much with resource planning as I would like it to. There are ways to achieve this in what functionality exists but it is not as involved as some many want it to be.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building out business cases for potential projects, prioritizing those projects, and then transparency and traceability into executing those projects. This allows us visibility at any level into the roadmap of ideas into delivered software.

  ### 3. Great Jira Integration and Visuals, But Roadmap Sync Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leo (Lior) M. | Product Management Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

Integration with Jira, visuals. We review it once a month, with leadership. For us, it's the visual for leadership, since they won't understand the Jira tickets. It's easy enough to use.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

The integration takes time to figure out, what imports work and what doesn't and why. Also, the roadmap is super sensitive, if you just try to move it a bit, everything goes out of whack, and it syncs back to Jira, messing up plans.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to create several levels of roadmaps for different audiences in the company. Team obviously works on Jira, but middle management need to see the plans for the Quarter and year, and upper management need to understand how all the blocks fit together from different products at different times.

  ### 4. Streamlined Strategic Planning Tool powered by a Clean UI, Needs Better Integrations & Reporting/Analytics

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sabharish K. | Senior Business Process Optimization Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I really like the easy-to-use UI of ProductPlan. It has a very clean look and makes navigation easier. It's also quick and easy to find the features that I'm looking for, as it is woven into the experience very thoughtfully. It's not clunky or overly complex. I love the visualization aspect of it and the ability to customize different views. The initial setup was very easy, and I was impressed with the time it took to get it up and running, which was in no time. Onboarding was a great experience as well, and we were all well-versed after just a couple of meetings. The tool is very user-friendly.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

The biggest drawback is for its ability to integrate with other systems and databases seamlessly. So a lot of the data entry work seems very manual and time consuming. Some of the advanced features come up with a pretty hefty price tag. It also lacks some pretty basic reporting and analytics functionality.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It aligns every business entity and shared service unit across the same priorities, solving the problem of a unified system of record and source of truth.

  ### 5. Brings Clarity to Diverse Teams, Needs Better Dependency Alerts

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maria L.

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I appreciate ProductPlan for its ability to create alignment and ensure that roadmaps look similar across various teams, even when these teams operate using different tools and methodologies like Azure or Jira. This capability significantly enhances transparency and understanding, allowing any new stakeholder to comprehend what different teams are working on, despite varied work processes. The ease of the initial setup with helpful training sessions contributes to a seamless adoption experience, especially when someone in the team already has prior experience with ProductPlan. These features make ProductPlan a valuable tool for managing roadmaps effectively in a company environment.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

I am frustrated that when dependencies are used in ProductPlan, they do not indicate if there is a problem. Everything else is color-coded in the tool, so it's puzzling why dependencies aren't. If an item on a roadmap has a dependency, it merely indicates 'I have a dependency' but does not show whether this poses an issue. For instance, if the dependent item ends too late, disrupting plans, there's no alert. I believe the dependencies could utilize color-coding, maybe red for issues and green when all is okay, for clearer communication.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ProductPlan to align roadmaps, increasing transparency and understanding across teams with different workflows.

  ### 6. Intuitive Roadmapping with Potential for MS Office Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karol R.

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I love ProductPlan's intuitive interface, which truly enhances my experience by making navigation straightforward and effortless. This ease of use simplifies the complex task of building product roadmaps and company strategies, ensuring that my focus remains on strategically important activities rather than getting caught up in software complexities. Additionally, I appreciate the effective communication with developers, which adds to the smooth workflow and extends the utility and satisfaction of using ProductPlan.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

I have difficulty with the integration with Excel, which limits my ability to easily import and export data between ProductPlan and Microsoft Excel. While this is recognized as an area for improvement on my side, it still impacts the process negatively. Additionally, I find the need for more personnel in the Product Management office to fully utilize all features of ProductPlan, suggesting a somewhat steep learning curve. The initial setup was not straightforward due to this lack of resources.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ProductPlan for visualizing product development and strategy. Its intuitive interface and effective communication with developers streamline our processes.

  ### 7. Efficient Roadmapping with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ioulia K. | Senior Technical Product Manager

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I really appreciate the ease of moving parked items or ideas directly onto the timeline in ProductPlan; it makes the organization and management of features incredibly efficient. Additionally, the integration capabilities with CI/CD pipelines significantly enhance the visibility of tasks and dependencies across multiple software teams, which is crucial for streamlined workflow and project mapping. The initial setup of ProductPlan was straightforward, which facilitated a smooth transition to its usage without unnecessary delays. Overall, these features contribute to a more effective planning and execution process in managing product roadmaps.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

The filtering capabilities of ProductPlan are limited and pose challenges when it comes to handling complex scenarios. Specifically, when multiple teams, product lines, or priorities need to be viewed together, the filters can become difficult to manage. This makes it harder to gain a comprehensive and cohesive view across the board.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ProductPlan improves visibility across teams, enabling seamless integration with GitLab which enhances project planning and collaboration.

  ### 8. Great for Project Visualization but Needs Real-Time Editing

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike P.

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I love how easy it is to drag and drop bars within ProductPlan, which simplifies the process of managing and editing our project timelines. The platform's user-friendly nature extends to its editing capabilities, making it effortless to handle multiple selections at once. This ease of use enhances the overall experience when planning and updating projects. Moreover, ProductPlan’s aesthetic appeal and readability stand out, as even our executive team finds it visually pleasing and easy to understand during presentations. Compared to the tool we previously used, Wrike, ProductPlan is significantly nicer, offering a more streamlined and pleasant user interface that supports our project management needs effectively. Having all our projects centralized in one place also facilitates comprehensive planning by project phase and allows us to keep our executive team informed through regular updates.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

I dislike that ProductPlan does not allow multiple people to edit at the same time, like Google Docs. This limitation causes issues because when we meet twice a week with ProductPlan on the screen, only one person can edit at a time without encountering problems. It becomes glitchy if multiple people attempt to edit simultaneously, which is frustrating and hinders collaboration.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ProductPlan to consolidate our technology projects in one place, enabling phase planning and clear presentations for executives. Its easy drag-and-drop feature simplifies management while making information visually appealing and accessible.

  ### 9. Simple, All-Inclusive Features with Excellent Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 05, 2026

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I like that it's relatively simple - there aren't a million and one configuration options, and you don't have to worry about whether you have a given feature or not - everyone has all the features.

Support has been good, and our implementation process was straightforward.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

The APIs could use some work. They get you so close to being able to do something, but then there are one or two things missing that are essential for building the report or the tooling that you need.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ProductPlan gives us tools for roadmapping, for planning releases, and for collecting customer feedback. We have struggled with the use of different tools, slide decks, spreadsheets, and ways of doing things, and ProductPlan gives us the essentials for bringing that together in one place

  ### 10. Road Mapping Feature Makes Product Planning a Breeze

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

The road mapping feature allows us to clearly visualize deliveries and timelines throughout the different phases of product development.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

The process of linking strategy, initiatives, and ideas feels somewhat manual at the moment. It would be a significant improvement if AI could automatically map these connections, allowing us to simply review and confirm whether the suggested mapping works for our needs.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In terms of stakeholder management, we have traditionally relied on listing and rearranging the product lifecycle and expected deliverables in a more manual way. With ProductPlan now in use, we are able to convert these elements into a visual roadmap, which makes the process much clearer. Although we have not yet fully utilized it for discussions with c-suite stakeholders, I anticipate that it will significantly improve our current approach.

  ### 11. Effortlessly Organizes Releases with Stellar Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Judy L.

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I love using ProductPlan because it is very easy to use. The interface is intuitive, which makes planning upcoming releases much simpler. The support from ProductPlan analysts has been incredibly helpful, providing the assistance I need whenever required. I also appreciate the frequent updates to ProductPlan, as they continually enhance the functionality and usefulness of the tool, especially in planning our upcoming releases.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

Nothing that I dislike in particular. I find some functionalities of ProductPlan, like sending out surveys to get feedback from external groups, I want to use but I don't need to use it since I had to resort to using another tool for that purpose.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ProductPlan for organizing upcoming releases, determining effort levels, and identifying overlaps, which enhances our project management efficiency.

  ### 12. Effortless Roadmap Creation, Needs Better Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Saranyan B.

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I appreciate ProductPlan for its excellent capabilities in creating roadmaps, which allows me to efficiently organize and plan for each quarter. The integration features are also a significant benefit, especially the ability to link with Jira tickets and group tasks based on initiatives and epics. This integration creates a seamless workflow and helps in maintaining clear and organized project plans. Setting up ProductPlan was straightforward and easy, which allowed me to get started quickly and focus on productivity.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

The only area I find lacking in ProductPlan is customer support, which could be improved.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ProductPlan to create quarterly roadmaps, integrate with Jira, and organize tasks by initiatives and epics, enhancing my planning efficiency.

  ### 13. Enhances Team Transparency, Needs Better Jira Integration

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rena T.

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I like ProductPlan for its permission aspect, allowing me to give access to anyone I want, which facilitates collaboration and control over who can view our team’s roadmaps. I also appreciate the different views feature, which enables me to create various roadmap styles. This flexibility allows the presentation of projects in multiple formats, catering to different team needs and preferences, making it a versatile tool for planning and communication.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

I think the integration with Jira could be much better. The syncing of Jira fields and how it functions can be improved to make it easier and more effective.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ProductPlan to create roadmaps for my team, providing transparency for other teams and leadership.

  ### 14. Effortless Road Mapping with Azure DevOps Integration

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James L.

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I appreciate ProductPlan's integration with Azure DevOps. This feature is incredibly valuable to me as it not only displays the status of the roadmap but also facilitates seamless communication between the two platforms. This capability enhances my ability to efficiently manage and visualize roadmaps, ensuring that all stakeholders are kept informed about the project's progress. The integration is a key component that makes ProductPlan especially useful in my workflow.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

{"I wish that there's a two-way communication with Azure DevOps.","It was challenging, functions were embedding under several clicks. I needed additional guidance from customer success."}

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ProductPlan to easily create and display roadmaps to stakeholders, with Azure DevOps integration showing roadmap status effectively.

  ### 15. Please, let us customize roadmap shapes!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

Product Plan is a simple and easy to use tool to quickly build roadmaps. The connection to external data sources such ADO is a very useful feature.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

A roadmap with many milestones becomes very hard to see and even when collapsing them, the icon on the top is not helpful at all.
The lack of capabilities to customize containers and lanes (e.g., use a different shape than rectangles). If you try to build a roadmap for a Program (group of projects), the roadmap becomes too busy and difficult to read/follow.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy way to communicate to stakeholders and decision makers the product development progress.

  ### 16. Intuitive and User-Friendly Experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

UX is nice and easy to use, they're consistently adding new features (even if I am not using it, i'm sure other people are benefiting from it)

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

hard to see all the details sometimes, i know if i have too much details i need to click and expand certain row but i would like to have a easy layout to have everything in one place

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

gives me a full roadmap of all the upcoming project, that's easy to read. i like the expanding/minimizing view so i can condense/expand rows as needed

The tool enhances visibility into features and stories, integrating well with ADO to inform and feed into our roadmaps efficiently. The ease of the initial setup is another aspect I appreciate, as it was very straightforward and hassle-free.

I would like to see more focus around PI planning activities and specifically determining load for future quarters.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ProductPlan for product roadmaps, providing visibility into features and stories in ADO.

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

Easy to use and intuitive features. Can start using the tool without tutorials

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

Product Plan has been insisting that for the last several years we should have more reviewers. That our Reviewer to Editor ratio is off. But we explain that the editors most often share the roadmaps on screen on calls or within meetings. Less need for online reviewers.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows our Product and development teams the ability to clearly and quickly showcase their project roadmaps.

Integration to capture progress of the project in real time
Sprint wise view and calendar view

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

Drag and Drop is not very fluid enough
If you create version, then it duplicates the plan view for all participants who then get confused which was the original roadmap.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Projects alignment, roadmap planning

  ### 29. Exec/Stakeholder: "Where are you at? What's next?" --> Product Plan: "HERE!"

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin D. | Product Management, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2021

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

Consistently improving integrations with Azure DevOps are making it easier and easier to maintain ProductPlan. Also becoming more and more fond of the column-based views over the Gantt visuals.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

There only 2 main issues:

1. No ability to audit the effectiveness of roadmaps in communicating to leaders/stakeholders. I want to have some metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of my roadmaps, especially when they're a communication tool in the absence of my presence to provide context.

2. Easy 2-way method of integrating with DevOps; it'd be awfully nice if small change flowed back. Additionally, if I retitle epics or features that fails to update appropriately.

**Recommendations to others considering ProductPlan:**

It's a very effective starting point, much better than most in system roadmapping tools within Azure DevOps or Jira.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are in the middle of a massive ERP replacement project and still maturing our Product organization. ProductPlan has been vital for high-level consolidation of strategic roadmaps and tracking of execution on both fronts.

  ### 30. Simplified and Effective Tool for Roadmap and Strategy Planning

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeanette A. | Senior Manager of Technology Operations, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2021

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

The Timeline View and that the attributes are not overly complicated. I specifically was looking for something to demonstrate Product Roadmap, and not replicate Project Software. The views are clear, clean, and concise.

I also use Portolfio views very heavily which allow teams to create individual roadmaps by Product and the Port View to help us bring it all together for an org view.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

I think it would be nice to have a view that shows key changes to the roadmap, but not a log of all changes. The use case is - I want to know what has changed since last month, what moved, what was added. For us this is usually about 3-5 things. When we have tried a view like this it looks like a version control including administrative items which is very noisy.

As an admin, I also feel like we really like the ability to add a view to show on Sharepoint, but this is only available if we don't limit access to Product Plan via SSO, which is a hard trade off for us. I feel like in general the SSO is both great but also bumpy. Showing the view on sharepoint is SUPER cool, SSO we are using MyApps as our tool.

**Recommendations to others considering ProductPlan:**

I would use this tool if you have clearly defined your problem as Strategy Planning. If you try to get this to solve additional but related problems - e.g. Resource Planning, Project Management, etc. If you try to solve those additional problems this tool will not solve those well or at all. We pair this tool with other tools that would specifically address those other listed but related attributes. This tool solves Strategy Planning very well, but as with all tools my recommendation would be to think about the primary problem you are trying to solve and solve it well, instead of trying to cram it into one single product. We have done this in the past and I feel like this is the first time we allowed the tool to solve the unique problem its designed to solve.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problem we solved: Living Source of Truth for Product Roadmap.
Eliminates obsolete data, or operating on older versions of snapshot artifacts. We were using powerpoints instead.

  ### 31. Pretty good, but wish it had more integration functionality

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Derek M. | Sr. Digital Product Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2021

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I like that it is user-friendly. Being able to drag and drop items in new columns as needed quickly is helpful. I also like being able to quickly see my team's progress on key initiatives, being able to link multiple items together, and being able to use containers to house multiple roadmap bars is great for keeping related work together. The

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

I dislike that columns automatically disappear when no bar is in them. Sometimes there is just nothing planned for the period that bar represents, but that shouldn't mean it should go away completely. This means if I currently have nothing planned for a column that represents Quarter 3 -2021, the column goes away completely, requiring me to create a new column when I am ready to add a new project for that quarter. The only workaround is to keep a blank, meaningless bar in the column to prevent deletion. While this is not a deal breaker by any means, it is an annoyance.

**Recommendations to others considering ProductPlan:**

Be sure to keep a bar in your columns; otherwise, they will disappear into the ether!

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My company requires a public product roadmap, so Product Plan solves that for us. I will say it is one of the more user-friendly "roadmapping" tools I have used. It is not only easy for the individuals that maintain the roadmaps, it is easy for our stakeholders that need to use the tool to check up on the work our teams are completing to help them better serve our customer base.

  ### 32. Great product, overpriced

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2021

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

It is so simple and easy to organize swimlanes, buckets or and work items. Literally, no other tool does this that I could find. And I tried to find another one.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

Mostly the price. $49/month is steep for a roadmap tool when compared to way more featureful products like Jira or Confluence where it is free for up to 10 users. I'm not suggesting it should be free. People should pay for products, but $49/month per editor is outrageous. This is the only reason I am not a 9 or 10. OR consider breaking the price into packages. I only use the roadmap view and none of the other features. Maybe $49 represents value for an e2e user but not for me, just using the roadmap.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Plain and simple working back from goals with dates and aligning the business from marketing, ops, product, etc.
It's an amazing high level planning tool for milestone and high level work planning.

  ### 33. Great piece of software for making roadmaps easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt G. | Tribe Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2021

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

ADO integration is straightforward and smooth. It just works.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

Interface is a litle clunky, can sometimes be hard to see things or move things if manual

**Recommendations to others considering ProductPlan:**

Stop using Power Point or similar, and start using this. It's been fantastic to use, has freed up product owners to get on with their actual jobs, has shown execs and senior leaders what we're doing, where we need to consider other options, and so on. It's also freed me up from having to continually chase people to keep their roadmaps up to date

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No longer have to update multiple roadmaps, we have one source of truth and multiple ways to view it. Can create roadmaps to whatever level we need, from team to exec. Have freed up product owners from having to spend hours in a non suitable tool creating visual representations of information that already exists

  ### 34. It´s a go to when it come to roadmaps

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lucy S. | Advisor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2021

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

Productivity is something that we all try to look for at one point in our lie but sometimes is difficult to manage our time and as a manager in the company I work for, I always had struggled with organizing my team time in a way that´´s more productive for us, but with Porduct Plan I´m able to make a roadmap where I include what I want to accomplish related to a project or product.

Compared to other planning softwares that I have used in the past, none of them can compáre to this one, because they only help you to build a daily plan or the focus in unnecessary things, which is the opposite of Product Plan where with the roadmaps you can view a general overview of what you need to do and what you would expect of your product.

Product Plan is outstanding because it can be using with other existing softwares such as Jira or Trello. As for the case of Jira, you can set your priorities in a project or product instead of wating time in things that are not that important.

These integration function that Product Plan has makes this software more interactive and easy to use. Despite the fact that the software by itslef is easy to use, they olse offer a training for people that didn´t get to understand all the functions that they have and they also count with a well prepared support team.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

One of the things that I consider that Product Plan lacks is that even though they offer a free trial, they don´t have a free version at least for a month, so you don´t get get to know all their functions in that short period of time.

The other thing that I found quite problematic when it comes to Product Plan is that when I´m working in a project I like to set a budget and then see how much I spent, which function I think it should be available there so I can compare how much I´m spending in my project and compared all of them to see wether I should reduce costs or not.

The last thing that I dislike of Product Plan is that their prices are a little bit high as I pay 39 dollars per month which it can be considered high for a productivity software

**Recommendations to others considering ProductPlan:**

What I would recommend for new users is that they should try the free trial that they have, despite that it doesn´t last too long I consiider that by them doing this they can see wether Product Plan fits their needs or not.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have solved my productivity problems at work with Product Plan, as with other softwares I set too many goals that were not necessary to be in a productivity softwares but with Product Plan you can set goals but in a long there and you don´t focus in unnecessary things

  ### 35. Powerful product roadmapping tool which is great for multi-team project

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2021

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

The combination of a prioritization framework and roadmapping tool.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

Showing connections between items in the roadmap has been a challenge.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting everyone across our project on the same page and understanding what everyone is working on. Having a handy, easy-to-access visual is the biggest benefit.

  ### 36. Great visual roadmapping with room for growth on UX and metric/reporting

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2021

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

drag and drop interface, Jira integration, shareability and security, unlimited viewers, flexible layouts, easy editing
links and connections are super useful bc a lot of our documentation is stored elsewhere and this means the project bar can serve as an index and also show connections/dependencies on other roadamaps

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

needs more custom fields and the ability for custom fields and tagsets to belong to one team, not show up on everyone's roadmaps.
better display/tracking for milestones, the flags are difficult to read, hide each other in overlap, and can't be tied to a specific bar or container.
better bulk tools for editing multiple items at once

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

visibility and transparency into the work across the organization at a higher enterprise level, and more detailed breakdowns on current work and progress for teams

  ### 37. New to Product Plan - Not a bad tool

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2021

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I like how you can color-code different work blocks so you can easily identify the kind of work its associated with (Pink for Eng, Blue for UX etc). Drag and drop feature is easy to use when editing or adding to your plan as well as having the ability to show the percentage complete on each piece of work.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

When scrolling across the roadmap it can be difficult to see where each piece of work is due to finish, as on a few occasions, the block has continued to follow my cursor as I scroll across the months, making it look like the work task is scheduled to take months.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Product plan has given higher management a high-level insight into the product roadmap without having to weed through JIRA tickets.

  ### 38. Nice to have for IT Project management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laurent P. | Chief technology officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2021

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I like the view system allowing you to maintain two or more "visible versions" of the same roadmap.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

Some of the ergonomics when drag and dropping some elements to the roadmap. Sometimes, it is a bit complicated.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Product plan helps us clarify our expectation on delivery schedules regarding our developments.

  ### 39. Great planning tool, so-so on sharing that plan with others

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Russ R. | Product owner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2021

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I like the vivid colors and UI and how I am able to move bars and containers quickly to organize my planning.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

When I put a plan together, I can't share it with anyone without having an account.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I mainly use it for sprint planning and product road mapping.

  ### 40. Come a long way, a lot to go!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2021

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I appreciate how easy it is to add new features and how user-friendly everything is.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

I wish two-way synchronization with Azure DevOps was possible, as so far it's mainly been importing into Product Plan. I also wish all features started at 0% completion or that I could set it all to start like that so that I didn't have to manually change all of them.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping me communicate with executive stakeholders on roadmaps and have discussions without getting into the weeds on all matters.

  ### 41. Roadmaps done right

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashar K. | Product Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2021

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

Weighted prioritization for backlog items

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

When lots of items are linked, it becomes difficult to move things around with ease.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cross-team coordination and systematic prioritization of backlog items

  ### 42. Review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2021

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I like that the Roadmap is easy to view and easy to integrate with

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

Some of the integration is broken, mine does not update accurately

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it provides a high level overview of your roadmap and it integrates with TFS

  ### 43. Great visualization for executives

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2021

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I like the table feature and the ability to group items.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

I wish the table view could relate to a timeline view.

**Recommendations to others considering ProductPlan:**

Take your time to work with your CSM. Best practices are everything.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

App Dev lifecycle, we are managing our application backlog and development lifecycle. We use this to support Jira.

  ### 44. Flexible, digital tool for project planning

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2021

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

The platform's UI is intuitive, felxible, and colorful. You can have multiple workstreams within one project and easily communicate dependencies.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

There is a bug: the dates at the top don't follow/respond to your sideways scroll if you view the schedule zoomed in. This glitch confuses the team as to when something is due.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ProductPlan allows me to communicate delivery dates and team interdependencies.

  ### 45. Great roadmap tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2021

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

Very easy to plan roadmaps with out worrying how to use the tool

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

Inability to run single items across quarters in column view

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communicating product roadmaps to business stakeholders

  ### 46. Product Plan

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Cosmetics | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2021

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I like the ease of use, JIRA integration and visual representation of work.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

Limitations with JIRA sync with start/end dates. Limitations on what can be done on the table view.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Needed a visual representation of work load and important ticket in JIRA.

  ### 47. Efficiency in labor management and task fulfillment

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patrick B. | Sales Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2020

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

One of its main powerful features and that has helped me greatly is the planning of all the work, effectively organizing all my work and improving our business strategy. With the roadmap tool it is possible to manage all my work in a much more dynamic way, organizing tasks and better visualizing all pending work. With the Gantt chart and milestone tracking it is possible to make constant and active progress on all work, making task management much easier, with just a few clicks, drag and drop, that's how easy the job is!

Managing the workflow is much more dynamic if it is done by a collaborative and participatory system, with brainstorming the updating of projects makes great progress.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

It needs more detail and updating on the roadmaps, it would be ideal if if there are blank spaces between bars, they would move automatically, I would also like that the bars could be moved between lanes in a more automated and intuitive way.

Although I think it could be a little cheaper than it is now, I think it is really worth it as it has powerful features and smooth functions.

**Recommendations to others considering ProductPlan:**

Get more efficiency now in each job you plan, you will optimize the scope of projects and improve communication and group organization. ProductPlan is what you need in your office, and in your professional life.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are aware of the great daily benefits that ProductPlan has given us, among which is the optimization of all my work management, organizing everything in great detail, making all my management much easier than it was before. Once we integrate ProductPlan into our daily work dynamics, the work team communicates much better and we are able to achieve our proposed projects and objectives in less time than planned. Organization is essential when it comes to ensuring that our service is of quality, so this has been indispensable and one of the greatest benefits we have obtained.

  ### 48. Good data visualization tool

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Handan X. | Marketing Business Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2020

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I like how easy it is to customize the visualizations for program/project management. The colors and design selections are a plus

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

Can be difficult to adjust text and word placement. Also would be nice if it was more accessible to add graphics

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has been useful in creating potential workflow for our team in a visual way. Easy to make copies and make minor changes.

  ### 49. Its environment creates a comfortable experience for collaborative work

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anabel J. | Global Product Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2020

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I find it very easy to use this software, the platform really has a very friendly and easy to learn environment, so the learning curve for a new user is not so complicated compared to other similar software. I have successfully completed projects with ProductPlan without any complications, every journey I have made has been successfully completed and that satisfies me a lot when you need to keep an active company and always finish what was stated

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

It really isn't as customizable as you think, it doesn't contain many sources and sometimes it is a bit confusing to be able to move the bars to adjust the working time of each person. I would love to have more functions such as exports to excel. These are the only problems I have with this software because I really find no significant flaws that hinder me in the work process.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have felt satisfied how this software has helped to plan goals and complete them successfully without any inconvenience in the course of the evolutionary process of a project. The work environment where ProductPlan operates is very comfortable, allowing you to work easily when considering projects.

  ### 50. Product Plan is a powerful visual tool for sharing what's going on with coworkers.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mary Ellen K. | Senior Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2019

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

Product Plan makes it so much easier to visualize what is going on and to allocate resources appropriately.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

It would be nice to show release dates more clearly; we use the dates but I have to manually input each one and if we change the cycle I have to do a lot of work to update all of them.

**Recommendations to others considering ProductPlan:**

This is going to be a more simple roadmapping tool-- if you want more bells and whistles be prepared to spend more.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We got Product Plan to plan our roadmap and coordinate across stakeholders so that they can see what our availability is and what sacrifices we'd have to make if priorities shift.
