It is not a scaled-down enterprise system. It was designed from the ground up around the reality of retailers who receive product data from dozens of suppliers in dozens of formats and have to turn it into sellable content across every sales channel. The problem Productbay solves is the one that consumes most e-commerce teams. Supplier data arrives incomplete, inconsistent and unstructured: Excel exports, CSV files, PDF datasheets, B2B portals, or nothing but a folder of images. Traditional PIM systems store that data, but they do not create it. The manual work stays with the team. Productbay is a PIM that actually does the product data work: it imports, enriches, structures, categorizes and translates using AI. AI Import reads supplier files in any format, including PDFs and images, groups articles into main products and variants, and fills the fields automatically. Critical fields such as EAN and prices are mapped statically, never by AI, so they are always guaranteed correct. AI Autofill enriches thousands of products in a single bulk action, generating descriptions, filling missing attributes and assigning categories based on all imported product information plus web sources. Every AI-generated value goes into a review queue and is visibly marked, so nothing enters the catalog unchecked. Translation runs through a DeepL integration, and AI image tools handle background removal, mood images and consistent AI model photography for fashion catalogs. Productbay also hands work back to where it belongs. With supplier data requests, retailers send suppliers a link, the supplier uploads whatever they have, AI fills out what it can, and the supplier completes the rest in a familiar spreadsheet-style interface. The retail team only reviews and approves. On the output side, Productbay publishes to shop systems including Shopware, Shopify, WooCommerce and Magento, to ERPs including Odoo, weclapp, Xentral, JTL, PlentyMarkets and Advarics, and to marketplaces including Amazon, all Mirakl-based platforms, eBay, TikTok Shop and Etsy. An open API connects any custom or in-house system, and native MCP support lets AI assistants and agents work with the product data directly. New integrations are built on demand when a customer needs one. Retailers use Productbay to increase efficiency in product data work by up to 95%, onboard new suppliers in hours instead of weeks, and launch complete, well-structured products faster across every channel. Many customers run Productbay alongside an existing PIM, where it does the work the incumbent system leaves to the team. It does not have to replace anything to deliver value.
