It's an excellent source for keeping up with new product launches across large saas ecosystems. As a startup enthusiast and a market research analyst, Product Hunt has become my go-to resource for discovering new ideas and competitor analysis, respectively.

Through its well-designed individual product pages, one can see -

1. The complete product overview and what it offers.

2. Community feedback and what's working/ not working for a product to optimize our product strategy accordingly.

3. Product alternatives/ competitors without doing another search.

4. Team behind the product to generate leads. The community section can also be a gold mine for lead generation!

No dislike for Product Hunt, but instead for its mobile app. The website nicely lists PH's offerings, such as the marketplace and community features (golden kitty winners, office hours etc.), lacking in its mobile app. Moreover, the mobile app isn't as user intuitive as its website, missing out on filters and learning materials like guides. Producthunt caters to all types of product makers, from solo developers to the biggest tech corporations. It's a free-for-all,even the likes of marketers and sales people like us feel included in the community..

I mainly use product-hunt as a good source of potential clients that we can offer website building services to. Since there's a lot of new launches that may need some help with making a website for their project, we only choose to upvote and support and pitch our services to those who we feel have a great potential to be a successful startup.
